Went to pick up a delivery and everyone was nice and fast. The food smelled great. I'm gonna go try this place

The food at Don Fernando's Peruvian Restaurant is absolutely delicious and the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. We've dined in, had take-out and even had meals catered from there. Never disappoints. Our favorite dishes were the chaufa rice, the flavorful shrimp soup, and the perfectly seasoned rotisserie chicken—each one cooked just right and full of authentic Peruvian taste. You can tell they take pride in both their cooking and their hospitality. If you’re looking for great Peruvian food and a pleasant dining experience, I highly recommend Don Fernando’s. We’ll definitely keep coming back!!

We love Don Fernando’s! Recently ordered catering from there, my whole family loved the food. It was delicious. They were so easy to order with and the staff and owner are so friendly. We have really enjoyed eating there over the years. The restaurant feels so warm and cozy. The chaufa is the BEST!!!

The food was so good. The service was spectacular and the environment here was great. I have never had better Peruvian food in my life, the people are so nice and made me feel welcome. Definitely coming back.

Some of the best Hidden Gems around. The Chicken and is extremely well made, and the Ceviche and Chaufa are highly recommended. Service is kinda and polite with an authentic and polite atmosphere. You'd be hard pressed to find anything like it around. Note the portions are large, be hungry or bring friends!

Staff is very attentive and welcoming. Prices are very good and not overly expensive especially for the quality of the food. Highly recommend this place

It was my first time in a Peruvian restaurant and it was delicious! Lots of interesting things to try. We ordered the family meal which comes with a whole rotisserie chicken, salchipapas (fries with pieces of hot dogs) a choice of yucca, tostones or sweet plantains) fried rice with chicken and a salad. It feeds 4 people very well. Only $35!!! What a great deal! The people are friendly and speak English, so no language barrier. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. Drinkers beware: They run a family-centered business which means no alcohol sold or allowed on the premises. I definitely recommend this place and I will go back there in a heartbeat!

With only a few hours notice, our group of 16 people were warmly greeted and seated quickly (we arrived on our reservation time). They obviously don't get groups this large often...they had a hard time keeping the checks straight. But service and food was really good. Will come back again!

The food is very good. It's one of the best Peruvian restaurants that I've ever had as far as the taste of the food and I've been to dozens. The serving sizes and prices are not the worst, but not as good as they used to be. The biggest downside is that it takes a long time to get your food, especially if you order to go. It takes at least 30-40 minutes minutes, even when they're not busy at all. This is the reason that I couldn't give them five stars.

Very good authentic Peruvian food. Nice menu that is easy to understand. Service was good. Parking isn't good. Restroom isn't good. Prices are a little high but the flavor is significant. We will return.

Hadn't been here in about a year, food used to be spectacular. Maybe because I purchased takeout about 30 minutes before they closed, but I was disappointed . Lacked flavor and paying $70 for 2 chicken and rice plates with 2 sodas is a bit steep for my budget.

Food is great, but I placed an order and they got me the wrong rice… and they are no willing to solve the issue… would highly recommend to check your orders in the counter before leaving the place

I would never ever order from this place again .The service I got was really nasty from the opening server and I felt discriminated and will for sure go into the restaurant to speak to the manager .I walked into the restaurant around 10:55 ,I placed my ordered which was rice and a side a fries the lady told me it was 24 and some change,I told the lady when I came back I was gonna pay for it since the wait time was 20 minutes and I had my car parked on the road since they had no parking ,I came 30 minutes later to find out the lady never even sent my food because she thought I wasn’t gonna pay for it.That is very unacceptable and very nasty of that ladies part and for her thinking.I sadly didn’t get to bring any dinner to my family like I was supposed to before work because of that servers thinking,I drive a Mercedes Benz cmon I was gonna pay for my food and no restaurant would ever do that coming from someone who works in the restaurant industry.The staff is very nasty and doesn’t do their job right so I will definitely be walking in next time they open to complain to the manager,teach the servers how to do their job right.

Service was horrible, In two opportunity I call and ask what time they open to, I drove one hour to get to the restaurant when I got there they close 30 minutes early and told me they couldn't serve me food. Very dissapointed with the service... They did that to me twice. Will never go there again. They think they are in Peru and can treat a customer the way they want...

The food is okay. Prices are fair but ladies who work there are rude and unprofessional. I placed an order through DoorDash, was waiting on the counter and clearly the first person there. The lady the worked there came, completely skipped over me to ask the guy behind me for his order. NEVER will I go there again. I usually get it delivered but decided to pick it up this time. Won’t spend my money there anymore. Too many restaurants out there.

The owners rude the waitresses have no clue how to wait tables they mess your order up make you wait 2 hours for food not even a discount. They brought thr food out w no plates or forks the manager wants to fight and yell they charge a 18 percent gratuity on top of the horrible service. Stay away from thus resteraunt the owner should be ashamed of herself. Learn how to treat your customers with respect and how to run a restaurant.

My husband went to get me food... Order pollo saltado with arroz chaufa... Let me just say not a happy customer. The chicken was very chewy. The container was big but filled with onions, potatoes and barely any chicken.. I swear it was only about 9-10 small chicken chunks... Also gave me a whole extra order of rice and charged for it... Heard so much of this place, but not thrilled with it... Would not recommend this place !!! And would never go again.... 😡

Peruvian food is considered the best in the world, but this restaurant makes even garbage taste better. I know about peruvian food and they don't know how to cook not even a simple Pollo a la Brasa. . Not only the fact that the food is bad but on top of the service also being lousy and waiting for over an hour to get a plate of fries and hotdogs for my kids,they have such a feeling of entitlement that they will charge you for the tip without your consent an 18% tip and expensive lousy food. For just five people we spent 161.58 . I've never been ripped off so bad by any restaurant. Enjoy the stolen money, because this robbery shouldn't last that much longer.

We drove an hour for the famous rotisserie chicken, but they don’t have?!?! Very disappointing when asked for another dish, they couldn’t serve it with fried rice, only the white rice. Seriously?!

I ordered a Halea he doesn’t even have the ingredients Plus it was a very small container that cost me $27 it’s supposed to have shrimp clam crabs Yuka calamares fish it had no crabs and no clamps I did had two shrimps 😂 at all. The plate was so small my son is ten and it was not even enough for him you usually I buy the same plate in order restaurants and it’s more than enough for one person for that price the flavor was not the greatest eater very disappointed twenty I would like to invite the owner to have a good plate of halea for $25 in Peekskill with all the ingredients I’m sure he’ll love it and maybe he can start doing the same thing in his restaurant I will not be going back there though it was the waste of money
