Tl;dr: pricey but delicious. Very accommodating. Great food choices. The Sunday brunch is expensive but worth it if you can eat a lot, great sore dishes, dessert. Omelettes come with veggies. Pros: lobster omelette, crab cake Benedict. Nice view of the water, but cold in the winter/spring.

Had a great birthday celebration with my sister and fiancé. Live pianist and cellist on a Saturday night, dressy but relaxed atmosphere. Service was professional and present without being obtrusive. We started with fresh, made-to-order focaccia for the table and cocktails. All cocktails were delicious and I loved the pineapple-mezcal cocktail. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Thank you, Waterline restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience! It was everything I wanted for my birthday dinner!

Four if us having lunch. Two of us vegetarian and the menu has only one option for us. Our server, Brian, suggested they could make a linguine with a variety of vegetables. We then asked for the house salad and could they add walnuts and avacado? The meal was amazing! Both our entree and the salad should be on the menu.

This place is an amazing place to go to after playing golf right next to the restaurant, it has alot of great food but people I know system that it has some good salmon. I personally say that the salads look beautiful and the crispy fish and chips are on!

Wow.. what a great place for breakfast.. the ambiance is so nice.. great food.. rhe steak and eggs were fantastic.. the steak was tender and delicious.. our whole table had a wonderful experience..

Great place to have a special occasion. The atmosphere is laid back but elegant. The bartender and front of house staff were amazing - extremely accommodating, friendly, and professional. We tried about 6 different dishes and they were all prepared and seasoned very well. This place was a good find. Parking inside the resort is free when you eat here. The restaurant is inside the resort near the ballrooms. If you come in December, you can watch the Newport boat parade from your table at night.

Great Steak Wellington! Enjoyed the beautiful patio table overlooking the boats. I also think it's great that they had a kid sized portion of Salmon so that kids can choose from something other than a burger vs. Mac & Cheese.

Their Sunday brunch is top rate with outstanding service. Clean plates and silverware were constantly supplied. Omelet station had everything you would want. Nice selection of salads, meats and cheese. I did not try their bread and pastry but they certainly looked very good. Great coffee along with an outstanding view of the bay from the second floor. Valet parking, too.

Came here for dinner one night for Newport Beach restaurant week and to try there's three course prefix menu. The food and the service were both impeccable. The food was definitely tasty, delicious, beautifully presented. Our server was super attentive and anticipated our knees in advance. We really loved him.

Waterline Bar has a beautiful setting; outdoor seating along the water next to the yachts. It’s open to the public, and great to just sit and relax. They have a bartender that just started a few weeks ago, Bobby; he’s super friendly and personable! He definitely made our visit enjoyable, going above and beyond when all we were doing was just walking by. Highly suggest stopping by.

Fantastic. Ask for Crystal as server-- amazing!!! Great food extremely elegant a gorgeous showplace. California subtle beauty at it's finest. Understated grandeur with the best view in southern California. Fantastic wine list. Have the dessert!

Excellent service. The halibut was amazing. The sauce makes it more tastier and flavorful. Great combination with some guacamole and bacon with arugula on top. Good presentation and unique combination of ingredients. The avocado fries were okay. Two types of dipping sauces that I didnt think paired together. A garlic aioli would go better. Great view of the marina with the boats passing by. Quiet patio dining.

Came here and wasn't very impressed with how fresh the food was the fish look like it was out of the bag very watery not fresh at all. The steak was super small and dry the only good thing was the shrimp.

It was good but not excellent. With the google rating of 4.7 my expectations were extremely high. I’ve been to many 4.5+ restaurants around the US and this is more a 4.0. So with ones expectations set there then its a beautiful setting on the harbor with a good wine list. The menu had an exciting description of food but the final results were just a tad bland. Our waiter was a little forgetful but par for a 4.0 restaurant.

We did a company lunch event. If you love seafood, great menu. They had 3 non seafood items, visually the non seafood didn't compare to the others. The Kobe burger was good, cooked a perfect medium rare, but missed a flavor pop. Deserts were intriguing, some never seen before, but they were delicious. The group had a good experience just give the non seafood people a higher end options.

Food is good but nothing special. Burgers, sandwiches, salads. Service is lacking for a higher end restaurant. Didn't refill any of our drinks. We shared dessert but they didn't have a common sense to bring more than 1 spoon. Didn't deserve the $85 mandatory tip. One and done, not coming back.

Great view from the outdoors terrace. Food is average and overpriced. Ravioli and mignardese were not good at all.

If I could, I would have given it 3.5 stars just because it is a beautiful restaurant inside an even more beautiful hotel. Gorgeous harbor view and the decore is nice, but very conservative (this is your grandparents restaurant). Service was the best part of the night. They were impeccable in their care, courteous, and very professional. Reminded me of Michelin starred French restaurants. Unfortunately, food was very disappointing. Dinner rolls looked grocery bought and cold (below room temperature). Menu tries to be trendy, but it's about 5 years behind the times. $35 to $60 for main course, but not very well prepared. My white bass was thoughtlessly prepared without any flavor and my father's scallops were also very uninspired. I wouldn't mind coming back to stay at the hotel, but I wouldn't come back here again.

So disappointed! I called in advance to set up my daughters after wedding dinner... I was assured the manager would call me back to assist me. Never received that call! Called more then once ahead of time to confirm the reservations and where I wanted to be seated and discussed the wedding cake being delivered ahead of time. The cake was delivered and the restaurant was asked to ensure it was NOT refrigerated. The cake company even asked to stay and watch over the cake and serve it and their request was denied. The cake was RUINED from being refrigerated! The service was absolutely horrible and though the food was good it was not excellent, nor was the menu what I had hoped for. Very disappointing- we spent a great deal of money here and will not be back!

Food is so so, menu isn't that great. Hot chocolate tasted like warm milk, even after he made another one with double the chocolate. The Mahi tacos were actually good, but my stomach was bloated and hurting within an hour of leaving the restaurant. For the price, definitely not worth it to me. I have eaten here at Christmas time 4 years in a row, I order something different every time and I actually think Urban Plates has better food

A lot of money for barely any food. Menu is like the size of an ant(food variety vise).

I had to give Waterline 1 star or could not write a review. We went to Easter brunch and basically had the worst food ever. The Dover Sole was basically a frozen fish stick. The value was very apparently a suffering restaurant. Dry bread was an appetizer option. The dessert we ordered was carrot cake which was three quarter size bites. Very embarrassing place to entertain. I grew up here in the O C. And used to be a member if the BBC. I will never recommend or go back. Almost u believeable!
