Buena opción en Noja si te gusta la comida mexicana. Anteriormente se encontraban en la playa de Ris. Todo lo que pedimos estaba rico. La atención fue correcta. Local amplio y dispone de terraza exterior.

Very nice and tasty Mexican food, service was fast and staff very friendly. It was a busy night so we had to ask several times for our bottle of water however in the end it was not added to the bill which was fair.

Wonderful Mexican food and fantastic service from the staff. My wife and I are from California and have been to Mexico many times. The food here is authentic and extremely tasty. They even had my favorite Mexican beer, Negro Modelo, and my wife had an excellent margarita. We enjoyed our dinner so much that four days later we went back for lunch. We had the beef and the al pastor tacos. The highlight, however, was the pibil cochinita tacos which were a special, not on the regular menu. Fantastic with a side order of guacamole. Highly recommended!

Very nice place! Food is great (try the Pollo al mole poblano), service is very friendly. Owner speaks English. They have home made lemonade and a delicious piña colada (no alcohol). Worth a visit!

Having no website nor phone for reservations you'll be seated first come first serve. The service staff is very attentive and friendly. The food we've ordered was as tasty as in Mexico. Muy rico! We were a party of five and had the recommendation of the day (cochinita tacos), fajitas, chimichangas, quesadilla supremo, chili con carne bowl, all of this came with salad, frijoles and spicy salsa. We'd like to thank Arantxa ❤️ who's not only THE best service team member but also is selfless enough to forward our thanks and tip to the kitchen team and other service team members! We truly enjoyed our dinner! Highly recommended!!!

As a vegetarian travelling through northern Spain, this was sensational. Not only grateful to have some rare veggie options but also absolutely delicious. The staff were amazing. The nachos were amazing. The veggie burrito was amazing. Sangria amazing etc. we spent quite a lot as we knew there was a €50 debit/credit card minimum, but I was so happy to eat some tasty vegetarian food that wasn’t just potatoes that I didn’t mind. Left feeling full and happy but not sickly. Hoping to convince my partner to come back for dinner tonight. Partner on his chicken tacos: pico de galo 10/10 which made the dish, everything else really good also.

What are the chances to get a good Mexican restaurant in the remote Noja? Well... Luckily there is El Mexicano. Very good food at a reasonable price. The place is small but good to fit 12 comfortable tables. The staff was busy but very friendly. The foot did not take too long, and it was freshly done. Quesadillas, burrito and chimichanga tasted very very good. The service was clean too. Will stop by next time.

Delicious, modern and authentic Mexican food in Noja. I really enjoyed the crispy tacos and chilli - great seasoning and tasted so fresh. Guacamole was divine. Yummy cocktails. If you like Mexican food then you must try here. The service was excellent.

Visited the El Mexicano in July 2022, very welcoming staff and pleasantly surprised one of the staff who served us spoke great English. The food was excellent, I would would highly recommend a visit to enjoy the food and atmosphere. Will definitely return in the future. 10/10.

We are a family of 5 from Devon, England. This is the second time in Noja. We visited the El Mexicano restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews. When we arrived we asked for a table for 5 in O'level Spanish, but were immediately replied to in English. The lady who greeted and seated us was very welcoming and so friendly. Took the drinks order very quickly and gave us time to decide on food. She spoke so well in English, advising us on the menu. The food was all cooked freshly to order and came quickly. Please try the Chicken Mole. Ingredients sound a bit unusual but the taste is amazing. A rich, dark sauce with chicken made with chillies, peanuts and chocolate. Each of our group(aged 14, 18, 22, and parents) had a main and dessert. Only 3 desserts on offer, but all were delightful 😊 Throughout our evening the staff were attentive and friendly, efficient and kind. They even gave us some free Tequila shots at the end of our meal. I would grade the price as average. €176 for 5 mains, plenty of sides, 5 desserts, plus a bottle of wine, 2 beers, 2 cocktails, 2 cokes and 3 Tequila shots( and another 3 free) The food was great, but the service equally as good, and when you are on holiday you want to feel relaxed and well served. All in all, we rated this restaurant 5 stars for the quality of the food, all freshly cooked, the service and the price. Will definitely be going back!!!! Thank you all that run the restaurant!!!!!!

We think the food here is delicious! We love traditional Northern Spanish food too, but its great to have something different. The quality of the Mexican dishes are amazing, better than any other Mexican I have eaten! The portions are generous, and the prices of of the dishes are pretty average. Oh and yes the 'Mole Chicken' is delicious! On top of this the owner is so warm and welcoming. Next time we are passing through we will be back (I think we have been here around 4 years running now).

We had a meal here for our wedding anniversary last week with our 2 fussy kids they sorted them with a fantastic chicken platter which lasted minutes . I ordered beef fajitas and my wife chilli con carne bowl which were both served quickly and were absolutely delicious . The staff were friendly and very helpful with prices quite reasonable . Wouldn't hesitate to return if we're ever in this part of Spain again.

Buen lugar para comer comida mejicana. La atención espectacular y muy pendientes de nosotros. Tienen gran variedad de productos (fajitas, tacos y burritos) y los nachos están buenos. Los platos principales no incluyen guacamole, y lo cobran a parte. Por último creo que el precio es un poco elevado.

Lugar pequeño pero acogedor. Las camareras muy simpáticas, atentas y amables. Comida muy rica y seguro que repetimos. En cuanto al precio, no es caro pero tampoco barato, hay restaurantes de otro tipo más asequibles por la zona.

Fuimos a cenar y todo muy bueno y sabroso, las quesadillas, nachos, el postre casero y original y la atención muy buena

Local pequeño pero bastante acogedor, los cuadros me encantaron. Aunque es una pena la cantidad de humo y olor que hay en la sala. El servicio fue bastante agradable excepto por un comentario que no vamos a tener en cuenta de la camarera que nos tomó la nota. Además, en la carta, vi varias cosas que no me gustaron: sólo pago con tarjetas superiores a 50 euros, prohibido fotografiar la carta y servicio agua del grifo 3 euros, esto es ilegal. La comida en sí me pareció un poco escasa, los nachos escasos y con poca salsa y el burrito no me apasionó en absoluto. Los tacos y el postre (cajeta) si me gustaron mucho. Aunque me pareció abusivo el precio de 6 euros del postre por esas 2 unidades, que menos que 4...

Comida carisima para lo que ofrecen. Chupito de tequila de mango más caro que me he bebido en mi vida. La comida se ve que es casera está buena, pero no lo vale, cuatro nachos y una ración de tacos con dos jarras de sangria y 3 chupitos, 86 Euros…

La comida está bien, correcta, pero nada especial para los precios que tienen. Por ejemplo, la ración de nachos es muy pequeña. Lo más sorprendente es que cobren por una jarra de agua y lo pongan en la carta, cuando en España está prohibido por ley. Además, solo aceptan pago con tarjeta a partir de 50 €, algo que deberían avisar antes de pedir y que resulta un mal detalle en un restaurante. Conclusión: No lo recomiendo, hay sitios mucho mejores en el pueblo. Éramos 2 personas

La comida buena pero el servicio y el ambiente deja mucho que desear (a excepción de los 2 camareros jóvenes), hace alusiones a los sueldos que tienen que pagar pero en las dos ocasiones que hemos estado comiendo los camareros están en la terraza hablando por falta de clientela (no es culpa suya, culpa de la dueña), si le molesta traer los vasos de agua del grifo a la mesa deje entrar a la cocina a servirnos (no vaya a ser que se moleste a los camareros que están hablando fuera). A disfrutar 🥰

Sería el último sitio en el que volvería a cenar en Noja. El local ya avisaba estando medio vacío, y no fallé: más de 100 € cuatro personas y dos niños, sin postre y pidiendo lo más básico. Sales con hambre y con una sensación mala del sitio. Por la mitad te comes una buenas Burger en el cantábrico. La comida es simplona, nada que ver con la verdadera cocina mexicana, que suele ser abundante y barata. Aquí es justo lo contrario: pobre y carísima. El servicio, además de poco acogedor es impersonal y para rematar faltaban platos de la carta. El fallo fue ir y espero que con esta reseña la gente se lo piense antes de ir. No se lo recomiendo a nadie.

This review is not about the food. They didnt open on the day we were there. Waited for an hour and no one picked the phone. 15th June. I am not asking you to open the restaurant at my time but have the courtesy to let your customers know youre closed. Dont be so upset at people who pass constructive criticism. If you had asked respectfully I would have removed my comment. Now I wont because youre rude and cant handle people saying they dont like you. I dont have time to call you!

I could even admire how fiercely the owner defends the business to negative critics. I intend my comment to be constructive. We were told that reservations are not posible and that we had to wait for more than an hour. Even though we were willing wait and come back later, we saw that few tables were empty and how other customers in our same situation (except that they came later and they did not have a baby) were accommodated in front of us. When I asked, the responsible told me that they were coming every Saturday. We just felt like 2nd class customers, that's why we got disappointed (I hope it is understood). Anyway, we have other places to dine out and the restaurant will have other customers too. I just wanted to share how we felt.

The service was horrible this time. They lied to our faces. We were four people and they told us that they don’t reserve a table and we should wait an hour. When we came back there was a free table outside but we were told that it’s only for regular customers. I can give more details if I am accused of being childish for writing a review. Small detail - we had a baby with us. So it looks like we might not be welcome! Please check other reactions to criticism of the owner before judging the one below! PS: 1. We have tried the food in the past that’s why we are judging the behavior of the service. 2. Your food might be fine but the behavior towards locals is not acceptable.
