The Habit Burger Grill

The staff at Novato Habit Burger works together so well! It is amazing to watch! So fast and efficient! Had the #1 Charburger and the Superfood Salad, both were delicious (also the sweet potato fries).

I remember the first and only location in old town Goleta. Then called The Hamburger Habit and a brother of the owners owned Cal-Taco both off of Hollister. Still as good as ever! Tough to beat a Charburger.

Great quality fast food always served in a clean friendly environment by well trained staff. Nice menu variety prepared fresh to order.

Currently our favorite go to place in Novato for burgers. Great burgers, short wait, friendly employees, reasonable prices. The only downside are the fries are not great (mushy). I am reluctant though to deduct a star for this as we are not into fries that much anyway.

This place is definitely set up to serve their clients! Specially during Covid times - wait time is very reasonable... it tells me my food is fresh and not sitting on a counter under a warmer ... I never like when my food arrives seconds after the order- but not at the Habit - not only can I see my order being cooked, but I can see they all take the necessary precautions to prepare my order This place deserves my time spent to write this review Good food- good flavor Fresh Friendly staff Can’t wait to return and eat indoors I keep coming here multiple times a week to feed the family - This is a “habit” I can’t break

I ordered online was very easy but what surprised me is when i went to pick-up my order it was ready!! I thought there was going to be some kind of problem like my order was lost or the computer was not working right. It was there and everything i ordered was there, So i give them a 5 star rating not only because the order was right , the food is awesome too. The staff was great too. Try it you will like it!! try the Santa Barbara..............

This is a convenient place to have a quick meal. Their portions are a decent size! There are both inside and outside seating, garlic fries are decent and salads great

Everything I've had from this restaurant chain has been Good! The food is not overpriced. In fact, I find it to be a bargain! The staff is quite helpful, although corporate keeps removing things from the menu and I think that works against them!

Customer service was ah ok, it should have been a lot better seeing as at the time I was the only customer at the time, it took at least a minute before I was even acknowledged . I ordered 2 burgers and 2 milkshakes to go well for some reason the milkshakes were made before my burgers even got on the grill so when they called my order my shakes more like thick melted ice cream . Hopefully that will be a one time thing 🙏

I dined in here a week or so ago. This was my first time ever eating food from the chain. I ordered the pineapple teriyaki burger combo. The fries were undercooked, unfortunately. The burger patty was pretty tasty, but the rest was meh. The staff was pleasant enough. There is definitely a hype around this, and I'm sad that I've yet to experience it. I'll try again in the future.

The Habit is good but not great. This same location previously had another burger restaurant that was voted the best burger place in Marin year after year. The Habit is very clean and the employees are very nice.

I have to agree with Mark Gunn on this. They screwed up two things on our order. The burger was okay but the milkshake was too thick, flavorless and icy. Maybe they should use real ice cream. Poorly managed. A big disappointment.

The restaurant was closed, so they were cooking from a food truck. That meant we had to eat in my truck, which was what we were expecting. It was still good, though!!

Lot of turnaround in staff. The manager is good. I Did not get a free chess Berger because the ad I got from the newspaper did have a barcode.

We go there often, this time our fries were cold and the onion rings. The cashier was cleaning the store, and than handling food?

I will give a tip when then the service is good. Now days with paying by debit or credit cards the card reader asks for the tip amount before you get your food and when when the cashier says to you "Enter the tip amount or what ever you feel is right" is just wrong! This Habit has lost a customer.

Update: In fairness to my review, Habit Burger didn't refund my money, but sent me a coupon to replace the burgers they messed up. I had a chance 2 weeks later to drive by again and use them, and this time the music was turned down, and they provided me the same meal with no mistakes. So I raised it from a 1 to a 3.

Love the ranch and sweet potatoes fries burgers at this location are not that great Patty's are dry. Burger assembly is like a 5 year old did it. I pay lot of money for food there and every time I asked for no mayo they still put on there like every time. I love to cook and if your a line cook who don't have the passion to do a good job then move on to what makes you happy and let someone else take over. This goes to management as well not checking food before it goes out. So sad 😞 😔

Went there at 8:15pm and it was already closed

Anna was so rude to me and this is the second time. I order ahead so I will not have to wait since I have limited time at lunch. She saw me waiting to pick up my order and ACTIVELY ignored me. As soon as another customer walked up she helped him. Others in the restaurant witnessed this and told me they were appalled by her behavior. I have many years experience in the restaurant industry myself so I understand what it is like to be a server and provide excellent customer service in any situation. I was so upset not only could I not eat my meal I will not ever eat at any Habit Burger again due to the way I have been treated by Anna at the Novato location.

I am an Uber driver. When I went to get my order, a shake was loosely in the drink carrier and when I picked it up it about instantly flipped over and spilled I wanted to help clean it the two girls were very nice and said I didn’t have to but the manager then rudely said “you can clean it”, and handed me NAPKINS. This is a normal size shake and obviously needs to be cleaned with a mop. I began cleaning it but since he made another rude comment I dropped all the napkins and walked out. I then seen him making a employee clean it with napkins which again is barely do-able, it’s a full size shake spilt all over. Will be contacting whoever hired this guy soon. I feel bad for the workers who have to call this dude their boss.

Trash. Terrible customer service. Fries were burnt and salty. Employees were unprofessional. An employee was working on something at one of the front registers and asked another employee who was not busy to come help my friend and I. He kept saying"what?" and "huh?" but not being funny, being rude. Just an overall terrible experience. Super expensive for food that was not worth it, noted.

So after spending 50 I would expect a barbecue hamburger to at least have enough sause to at least see it. I asked for more sause he said he would have to charge me . Very thin hamburger that had completely fell apart due to that cheap bun. Fries completely cold. As much as I have enjoyed the habit I will not return.
