Great selection of food. They are open quite late till about 10.00 pm. Liked the food (everything was quite flavorful) and service so much that we returned here agin for dinner. If you are in town or around, try their Kashmiri Naans! Ample sitting space both indoors and outdoors. Highly recommend trying this place!

Absolutely must stop place. The food was outstanding. The flavors of the food we got were incredible and specially delicious after a long day in Yosemite. They were open late and seated us relatively quickly. Would come back when we visit from Los Angeles. My favorite part was the hostess who was so kind and also shared all the recommendations for vegan food. Would recommend to anyone stopping by Yosemite or just passing through. They even had imported beers from India!

Tandoori Express is a must-visit in Oakhurst if you're heading to Bass Lake! The lamb rogan curry was rich and flavorful, the roti soft and fresh, and the fish—absolutely delicious. The staff was incredibly polite and welcoming, making the experience even better. A hidden gem for anyone craving authentic and mouthwatering Indian cuisine. Highly recommended!

Choices for vegan food are limited in Oakhurst. This restaurant was happy to accommodate us. Ordered Samosas for appetizers, Dal tadka and Rice. Requested Aalo Paratha which was not on the menu but they said they would make it. Food was tasty but be careful wit their spice levels. A 2 stars request was a bit spicy.

Great to see an Indian restaurant in the Yosemite region. Food was decent. Butter chicken and samosa were good. Butter naan didnt have enough butter and shrimp vindaloo was just ok. Quick service, no fuss restaurant. Casual ambience, clean and well maintained. I'll probably eat here again if we are in the area. Don't go by the reviews that say the staff were rude. They're not. They just want to focus on serving you quickly and not waste time on small talk.

It’s a nice little restaurant. The only one in oakhurst and near Yosemite South Gate. The vegetarian section is small but we tried dal tadka and paneer makhni and both were good. Highly recommend their fresh made cardamom tea.

Tandoori Express offers decent Indian food at reasonable prices. The flavors are good but not standout, and some dishes can be a bit inconsistent. We order Chicken Korma and Butter Chicken both lacked salt. The Tandoori chicken was server cold ☹️ It’s a convenient option in Oakhurst especially if you are visiting Yosemite National Park. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area.

indian dishes are provided in this hotel and we had north indian dishes. Taste is very nice. Service is poor and they took long time to serve in the table. Take away are allowed.

I ordered Goat Rogan Josh, Chicken Biryani, Chilli Chana Masala, and Butter Naan. Unfortunately, the food was quite average and didn’t reflect authentic Indian flavors. The goat curry tasted more like lamb and had an unpleasant smell, far from what you’d expect in a Rogan Josh. The biryani resembled a pulao, the naan was small in size, and the chana masala tasted like it had been frozen and just reheated. Portion sizes were small—barely enough for one person—definitely not worth the price.

Disappointing. Lack of flavours. Never had a Chicken Tikka Masala that's Yellow with no flavours in the US. The Chicken Curry also had erratic flavours - some masalas felt too much. Please don’t come to conclusions based on the other reviews — they seem misleading and do not reflect the actual quality of the food we received. The most disgusting part of our experience was finding a hair follicle in the tandoori chicken. When we informed the staff, there was no apology at all. Instead, the response was a casual “Do you want a refund or a replacement?” — no concern, no accountability, no basic courtesy. Food hygiene and customer service are extremely important, and this place failed badly on both. Would not recommend. Response to the reply- Never mind — I’m not sure why India or any country came into this conversation. I simply shared my genuine dining experience, which included finding a hair follicle in the food. This is a basic hygiene concern, not a cultural or national comparison. You may deny it, but I do have a photo and can post it if needed. Also, there are similar reviews below mentioning flies found in curry, which further raises serious hygiene concerns. My intention is only to honestly share the experience I faced, just like any other customer.

We wrote several paragraphs explaining that the food tasted bland and stale, and more importantly, that we found a hair in the tandoori chicken. Instead of addressing those concerns, you chose to accuse us of racial profiling. That response is disappointing and avoids the real issue. This again shows that you are not taking customer feedback seriously. At the very least, the focus should now be on improving food quality, hygiene, and customer experience rather than deflecting blame. A simple acknowledgment or apology would have gone a long way. Our review was strictly about our dining experience — nothing more, nothing less.

We picked this place based on the positive ratings and boy were we disappointed. We honestly wish we had eaten anywhere else. There's a funky smell throughtout the restaurant. Not sure what it is but surely doesn't give you the fresh vibe. The food was the worst part of our experience. Everything we ordered was served within minutes, which would otherside be good, but when you get a grilled fish (which looks more like fried fish, smelled raw) within minutes of ordering, you think if it was even made for the order? We ordered mix veg curry, chicken tikka masala, roti and grilled fish. The chicken pieces were hard. The mix veg had carrot and cucumber from the salad plate. They didn't even bother cutting the vegetables for the curry but threw in circular cut leftovers from salad. Rotis write fine but super thin. And the fish was so bad we left everything on the table.

This place is a waste of money and time This by no means is an Indian or Pakistani food place. The food was horrible and the dish we ordered was literally full of inconsistency and most dishes were the same. As if they have some pre-made base and just mix some meat or veggies in that terribly tasting mix. The taste was below one star but Google doesn’t offer zero. To be fair the service was fair and ok. The place was unclean and loud noises were coming from the kitchen area. I can’t believe I wasted my money buying food from it. The boiled rice we took straight to the birds in the park! It was so hard and dry that we couldn’t swallow it. It was not even edible and the stew we had to put for the cats. Highly recommend going elsewhere … there is a Denny’s around the corner it’s much better.

I usually don’t leave bad reviews, even when the food isn’t great, but the service here was terrible. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and didn’t even try to talk to us properly. Between the bad service and the way we were treated, I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place. We got Dal Makhani which literally was more water and less dal. And the taste wasn’t that great too!
