Opinions de Infinite Thai Eatery Oakland
We like their gluten free Pad Thai! Their chicken satay was just as yummy. Prices are decent, especially for "gluten free".
Both servers are wonderful, service was good, and the food was fantastic. We sat at the outside tables and the setting was very nice and private feeling. I would definitely recommend this eatery.
Delicious, fresh, fairly priced, and friendly! There are many Thai places in oakland but this one is super consistent and never disappoints.
Great find. Authentic thai from one who frequents Thailand. No need to look for other thai restaurants, if your in the area you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend
Best Thai food, wonderful caring/appreciative staff. I love the Prawn Pad Thai noodles. God bless Infinite Thai, try it you will enjoy the service and food.
Delicious and reasonably priced. Much fancier than the chunky looking sign gave me an impression of. I recommend the fried banana and coconut ice cream dessert.
Favorite local takeout spot! Always delicious with large portions. Never had a bad dish.
Super tasty dishes, generous portions, fair prices, nice people, good service! Love the summer (fresh spring) rolls.
This has been our go to for Thai takeout and it’s bomb. Sometimes, takeout can start all tasting the same. Not here. The flavors here are extraordinary- just yum. Kai soi soup, mango salad, massamman curry, to name a few.
Fresh, tasty, authentic and friendly service usually from the owners. Great yummy Thai food! If you eat meat, try the moo yang and if not, the drunken noodles. Both are amazing!
We live around the corner from this spot and strolled down for an (almost) post-pandemic meal outside. Excellent food and super friendly service! I’m glad they are still here, and look forward to more belly-happy visits.
Great! Intimate/cozy/romantic ambiance. healthy, abundant, delicious food. Attentive, speedy, flawless service. Perfect, economic prices. Salmon, brocoli, brown rice, icecream dessert, all cooked without extra grease and tasteful. Very classy kitchen!!!
Pretty spot on for the money; excellent food, familiar menu full of Thai favorites (pad kee mao, curry puffs), easy ordering, super sweet staff. Mango sticky rice with black rice: so good.
Best thai food around. The owners go the extra mile. If you haven’t tried Infinate Thai, you are missing great food!
Love this place for takeout!! The fresh rolls w peanut sauce are a must get. I usually go for the eggplant tofu, partner goes for drunken noodle.
This is my favorite thai spot. I always saw it passing but my son recently started school in the area. So I decided to try it out and let me say I order about 3 or 4 dishes. Fresh rolls, fried rolls, their soup, curry bomb as hell! Basically try a bit of everything. The parking can be tough but worth it. Easy to call in an order for pick up too.
I just got take out from here and I’m very impressed! I ordered red curry with tofu and vegetables and pad see ew with tofu and vegetables. The veggies were fresh, well cooked and flavorful, and they charge just a little less than most thai places these days so it was a great value for the price. I’ll be back.
A group of 4 of us had an absolute feast of excellent Thai food there. We liked everything we ordered. And the servers were helpful and very friendly. I will definitely eat there again
Great food. Everything was fresh. Good portions too. Overall a very good option for the money you spend.
Would highly recommend this place. VERY flavorful food. Best customer service. Large portions. We got the Tom yum noodle soup and green Thai curry it was very delicious!
My family is kind of picky about our takeout food, but we have probably ordered from here a dozen times and all three of us like the food, especially the summer rolls, the praram chicken, the pineapple fried rice, and the peanut tofu. It's not to-die-for food, in my opinion, and I would give it four and a half stars if there was such a designation, but it is very tasty, consistent, and reliable, and I think it's better than a four.
I ordered this for delivery so I can’t rate on ambiance or service but WOW on the food! The Tom Kha Gai soup is amazing! The pumpkin in the pumpkin curry is cooked perfectly!
*NOTE!* LOOKS LIKE THEY HOPEFULLY OPEN AT 11:30AM NOT 11:00AM. HOPEFULLY. Been here 4 or 5 times now party of 2 and 3, this place is fantastic! Foods always Fresh n tasteful . Only had one so so dish so far and that was the bbq chicken. It was very bland. But the other dishes like the Chuu Chee salmon. The Gang Karie yellow curry w/chicken. The ginger mushroom w/chicken. The Drunken noodles w/beef and the dessert mangoes w/blackrice are all wonderful, and don't forget the iced Thai tea 😋
The dining experience was truly delightful; each dish was bursting with flavor and left us craving more. While the dishes were delicious, a greater variety and quantity of vegetables would have added depth to the meal. The Thai tea was a delightful complement, and the charming flower arrangement as a centerpiece added a lovely touch to the ambiance. Additionally, the cleanliness of the establishment and the availability of street parking contributed to a pleasant overall experience. Will absolutely be back.
This was my first time coming. The server was very kind and attentive. Plenty of great vegetarian options. I absolutely loved the drunken noodle and the Thai fried rice, very yummy 😋
I’ve been coming here for a few years and I’ve never had a single bad experience. The food is always good and the owners are incredibly warm, kind people. I particularly like all of their curries - the pumpkin curry being my favorite - but I also love their eggplant in spicy basil sauce 😍 I enjoy sitting inside or outside right on the beautiful Piedmont Avenue, and it’s also great for taking home in a pinch. Thank you for the great meals and warm interactions!
My new favorite Thai spot in Oakland! Stopped in after work to get a take out meal. Staff was friendly and didn’t have to wait too long. My drunken noodles were some of the best I’ve ever had, tofu was perfect, veg was fresh and the flavors were amazing. Already saved this in my maps and cannot wait to return!
A fantastic restaurant to celebrate any occasion! We drove an hour to try this restaurant for my hubby’s birthday, and the drive was so worth it. We appreciate the owner’s warmness, friendliness, and politeness. He made sure we were well attended to and comfortable. We had a long wait time, but I would still give them a perfect review, considering the ongoing labor shortage. I enjoyed all the food we ordered, especially the sticky mango with black rice. We’ll be back again! Thank you for making my husband’s birthday meal special. I am forever grateful!

I can only comment on the chicken massaman because it's so amazing that I can't bring myself to order anything else. It can also be made vegan. Everyone I've gone with, though, has been very happy with what they've ordered. Quite reasonably priced. Very friendly service. Highly recommended.
Now this is my favorite Thai restaurant, the food is incredibly delicious. The only thing is they are very slow, so I would eat before you go so that you’re not hangry before your food gets to you lol Ambience is elegant, low music, which I appreciate as you can hear your guests speaking, and a nice place for date night.
As someone who is celiac, I have to give a huge shout out to Infinite Thai! They don’t add soy sauce to their summer roll peanut sauce. But they also have tamari/GF soy sauce on hand to make brown sauces! Everything is made to order, which makes a big difference in those rolls. They are very kind as well. The dining area is small and simple, but well taken care of. Highly recommend!
This place is such a gem! The ambiance is great and relaxing and very clean. The service was timely and appropriate…not intrusive at all. It felt like I was being served a meal in their home. I had the pumpkin curry and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Just enough spice (I’d guess a 3/10 on a scale), incredibly fresh ingredients, beautifully composed, and so so so tasty! The sticky rice was on point too. Looking forward to returning when I’m back in town again.
This was a random find for us, but happy to have stumbled on it. First and foremost you could throw a stone and hit 4 Thai restaurants in this area - what's up with that? Infinite Thai Eatery is a great spot, where the food is as good as the service. We feel like family when we walk in and the care they give to their patrons. Really good service and attention The food is good - there is a good amount of things on their menu and it all tastes very fresh. Not busy the couple times we have come here, but we suspect the take-out side of the business is big for them.
Infinite Thai Eatery in Oakland deserves nothing short of five stars! The pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp is an absolute delight – a perfect blend of flavors that leaves your taste buds craving more. The cleanliness of the place adds to the overall positive experience, making it a top choice for those who appreciate both delicious cuisine and a spotless dining environment. Infinite Thai Eatery is a culinary haven that consistently delivers excellence.
Came last Sunday when my sister was up from So Cal for a visit. The food was great. We had pumpkin curry, eggplant with pork, and drunken noodles with chicken. All delicious. Nice ambience. Nice owners. If they were a block closer to Kaiser they would be packed! They should be - they do everything right.
I honestly can't say enough good about this business. The service is outstanding, 100% of the time, conversations with staff are always warm, welcoming and interesting. The food is always amazing, no matter what I've ordered (highly recommend the gang karie, moo yang, broccoli and meat dish, on a cold bay day the beef noodle soup, and my favorite meal I've ever had, the himapan) Thankful that these guys are a staple here on piedmont. Choose infinite Thai eatery.
Really nice Thai place, a step up (you could take your parents there). Cozy and not too loud, but still lively. The food is great, the service is very gracious. I wouldn't plan to eat and dash unless you're doing takeout, as the place is rightfully popular. The infinite green salad is literally the best salad I’ve ever had. Other favorites are the Pad se ew and the peanut lover.
My family and I have been coming here since Infinite Thai first opened its doors on Piedmont Ave. We cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and its owners. The food is consistently delicious; our favorites are the pumpkin curry, pad see ew, crab moon cheese appetizer, and tom kha gai soup. The owners Kloy and Joe are welcoming, professional and warm. We recently celebrated my dad’s 70th birthday and rented out their front dining room. They presented my dad with flowers and a card, completely unexpected and so genuine! Infinite Thai you have our hearts and our stomachs for infinity.

We enjoyed a buffet lunch here and found a good selection of both veg and non veg Thai food. The place is small / cozy and the service was very good.
Very tasty but their peanut sauce is a bit on the sweet side. They have good options for gluten free.
This is a great little restaurant. We've been here about 3-4 times a month since they've opened. We walked in opening week, not knowing it was brand new. The food is a cut above the rest, in my opinion. The menu is classic Thai. The service is very friendly, and they always take care of us and our special needs (celiac diet and 2 young kids). They do to go as well. The appetizers are especially good, including the satay and the spring rolls. This has become one of our standby restaurants.
Intend to return for Praram Tofu and Anchor Steam beer! (4/5 green stars) The two first things that will probably hit you when you walk into Infinite Thai are that the place is cheerfully decorated and the staff members are very friendly and helpful. We shared a Praram tofu ($13), Pad See Ew (with tofu - $11), and also had a green tea ($2) and Anchor Steam beer ($4). All beer was $4 – all bottled I believe but some trusty choices (besides the Anchor) like Fat Tire, Launitas IPA, and Trumer. It was nice to have a simple glass of Anchor Steam for a change – I’d forgotten how tasty it is – and at a good price too! The praram tofu was perhaps the best example of this dish that I’ve had – the sauce had an interesting mix of spice and sweetness – way better than some peanut sauces that seem like little more than diluted peanut butter. The pad see ew had more veggies compared to most versions of this dish that I’ve had – a healthier version of this dish (but could have done with a bit more sauce). I also appreciate that it costs more to add veggies rather than serving a plate that’s 95% noodles. Definitely intend to return. I’m giving them 4/5 “green stars” for social and environmental impact, based on these reasons: • Like most Thai restaurants they have a good number of vegetarian or vegan dishes. • They do have an “organic veggie” dinner special on the menu. • Other than that dish they don’t provide info on sourcing of any ingredients. • For example, I’d like to know if the tofu is organic as I don’t want to support soy grown from neonic-coated seeds (see greenstarsproject for more details on this). • All beers are fairly local (CA or CO) except for the one Thai beer (Singha). • Most of the beer is from breweries that are doing quite well in terms of environmental impact (e.g., New Belgium). • As far as I remember, food to go was packaged in a cardboard box but in a plastic bag (ditch the plastic, folks!). • Overall, it looks like they are doing a decent job but would like to see more info on website & menu – they are just getting going so I hope to hear more in the future : ) Interested in writing green star reviews? One of my go-to Thai restaurants. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and very tasty. And they have sticky rice, which should be a requirement for all Thai restaurants. The restaurant is cozy and and well maintained. I would give them 4.5 stars if I could and 5 if they hard organic ingredients.

Food was OK. They just got a new billing system so it took the guy a while to figure out how to use it, I was patient and had no problem with that. The thing what made me not so happy was that when it's time to eat, we found out they only gave us two set of utensils and two pieces of napkins for a three entree take out order for three people - that IS a problem when you eat in a park......
Pad see ew was very underwhelming and had some of the driest, broken, least saucy noodles I have ever seen in my favorite dish. The other entrees are okay but maybe stick to the specials if you go here.
The consistency of this place’s flat noodles in the Pad Kee Mao/Drunken Noodle (a go to dish) were too firm and “doughy” tasting. I did appreciate the wide assortment of veggies on the dish, including cauliflower (uncommon). The pieces of jalapeño aside, the “hot” spice level felt more medium. The Thai iced coffee tasted off, kind of a more “copper-y” tangy flavor than I enjoy. The staff were friendly. Overall, it was average at best for what I look for in Thai.
We used to like this place a lot, service was always slow but family run business so that was ok with us. But now we will only come unless we are desperate. They still say they are open at 11am (on Sundays), but most of the time they open closer to 11:30. It’s a nice day in mid October but it’s an oven inside, no tables and chairs were set up in the small courtyard because there is only ONE guy, the owner, working. We had to take it to go instead as it was very uncomfortable inside. Our order took over 30 mins which is just waaaaaay too long.

Wow, seriously disappointing. Reading the raving reviews I didn't expect to have such a horrible experience. Maybe it's because I got delivery instead of eating in. Ordered the $20 lychee duck which I originally thought was the soup I got, since the soupy dish consisted 5 small pieces of duck and some canned lychees that have gone bad Theit literally didn't seem like a real dish. The $15 treasure soup was just water with frozen seafood that consisted of a scallop that has also gone bad. The so called white Jasmine rice is literally the typical cheap, non Jasmine rice you get from the cheap Chinese take outs. so essentially I spent over $50 on an order where the only edible thing was the $10 calamari salad , which btw had 3 pieces of frozen calamari and some lettus and shredded carrots, only because it had good flavors in the dressing. This is pretty much as bad as it gets as far as a restaurant that gives zero care to the quality of their food.
We used to frequent this place a lot when we were doing a project up the street for about a year, and I remembered that it was consistently good. So I thought I was in for a good pad Thai for lunch today but I find they’ve used a noodle that’s like angel hair pasta, not flat. Not a big deal but I specifically asked them to not make it too spicy. Of course they did anyway. Like I can’t even eat it (and I like some food spicy). Pad Thai is usually $10-12, this was $14 and not worth it. I won’t go back.
Charging extra for a side of sauce is almost as big of a joke as not including white rice with curry. Further the curry is watery and flavorless compared to other places within blocks. Waste of time and money going here.
