Opinions de Marwa Market and Grill Oakland
So delicious, welcome addition to the neighborhood (they moved from their previous location a few blocks up Telegraph). Friendly and good prices, hot menu and salads/wraps are good quality. Maybe the best falafel in Uptown (though you might have to wait a few minutes for them to make it fresh!). Pro-tip: hummus and Afghani bread combo is hella cheap and sooooo good.
I have been having great shopping for my home ,when ever we need afghan food's,they are treading well ,Specially Kaka Taimour he is the coolest person same all ,The food qualities are great ,the price is medium ,I’m a one of regular customer of Marwa grill and go there from San Francesco, god bless them
They have a lot crammed into a small space. They sell a lot of great spices in bigger quantities than the grocery store or Oaktown Spice Shop. Their hot food deli has fast service and a good vegetarian falafel pita sandwich.
I got the combo plate with rice 3 types of meat, beans and potatoes with okra, side of bread and it was really good and reasonably priced
This place is really good. They customer service is great. The iced coffee just makes you feel alive. I recommend this place a thousand percent.
I have only bought meat and samosas here but I had a good experience with both. The space was very clean and the halal meat was fresh. The samosas are some of the best I've ever had in the US. I'm looking forward to trying the other items on the menu.
A great place for your groceries on cheaper prices. Great Traditional Afghani Bread the long one on daily basis they make for you fresh but you have to place an order before to pick them as they already making it for the customer. Thanks 🙏
Went for dinner w/ 3 friends last night - we called ahead but they don't take reservations. Showed up and put our names down on the white board (outside) but they said we could sit outside under the heaters, so we were happy to be seated immediately especially since it was 7pm - peak dining time.
The meat is good, the owner is a happy and good fellow, his wife Marwa, does not treat her customers right. She is mean; I decided not to go there because of her. I feel sorry for her kids and husband. But for the sake of honesty, I recommend anyone to shop for meat.
Amazing! I had the chicken and ground beef, with potatoes, and a whole slice of noni. Simply amazing. Can't wait to come back. They also have an assortment of Afghan snacks and dry goods for sale.
food is so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and really good prices for the portion size

I hired them to do catering for 275 people at a wedding hall. Everything went smooth and great. Temor the operations manager promised and delivered. The food was delicious.

The frozen breaded product may not be the best.

I ordered the Quoroti I haven't had Afghan food before and was thoroughly surprised by the taste of the yogurt. The softness of the bread and the spiciness of the hot sauce. The portions were very generous for $8 and 95 sense. There was so much left over. I couldn't even finish it. The customer service was great and was very Friendly. But not very many places to sit. Because it's part restaurant part convenience store. But they are one of the only restaurants that you can sit down at and have access to an electrical outlet.
This is an Afghan/Persian grocery market They have their bakery and serve up highly popular naan with a whole wheat version on Saturday (by reservation). They also offer very competitive pricing on meat. You can call ahead and reserve choice cuts with a weeks notice. They usually get meat delivered every Tuesday evening and are usually sold out by that Saturday. They also serve takeout and limited seating outside for their takeout. Menu is usually rice with kabobs and some stew along with some samosa.

This market does not put price tags on market goods, which is illegal in CA. Accordingly, prices can wildly fluctuate based on who rings you up. Ask before buying.

The store would have been okay with good variety of middle eastern goods or Afghan as described. But at this time of pandemic, they, both personnel, don't seem to care about their customers' lives by not wearing masks. I think they're the owners. I wanted to buy more but it would be safer to not stick around for too long.

Marwa Market is a terrible store with no customer service. I waited in line for almost an hour to get fresh bread. A guy came after me and didn't wait in line, but they gave him bread before me and other customers. I complained about why he got bread before us, but the chubby guy Taimor had no answer. I wouldn't recommend going there. They are expensive and clearly don't understand customer service.
The owner so rude and he doesn't care about his customers. I been there to buy Afghani bread this morning the owner told me he has left over from yesterday or you have to wait 20 minutes to get a fresh bread and I said ok I'll be back after 20 minutes. I went and I came after the 20 minutes he told me just finished baking it give me couple of minutes. I wait over 15 minutes and after that I asked hime where's my bread, one of his employees get me a bag of two breads one was fresh and the other bread from the left over and I asked him why he give me like that he said all the bread are fresh I asked him to check the two bread just to make sure, he said oh both of them are fresh but one of them he took it out from the oven long time. He doesn't know that I was in the store before 20 minutes and his boss told me that they are baking the bread. I took the bread bag and I asked the owner to check it he told me both bread are fresh do you want or no I said get me new one I don't want this he replied do you want this bread I said no I need fresh one he said this what we have take it or leave.
The shawarma was like a trash, I highly recommend not to order the shawarma 👎
Assalam-O-Alaikum,they don’t have any customer service so be careful if you are going to shop over there it’s better to go and find some place els to shop as the lady is really bad she charge you for something she doesn’t even mention and when you ask her she will reply she doesn’t supposed to tell you as not I her job very bad experience with this business and food is not good as well so really suggest people to stay away
