I love this dive. I go on the same day every week. Bartender has a good memory, often knows what I wanna order. Love the horror art. The paintings are truly gorgeous, I covet the Pennywise one.

My cousin and I were on our way to another bar that wasn't open yet so we came here to only get 1 drink which then turned into 5. The atmosphere was great and so were the people there.

A classic neighborhood bar that's still really welcoming to non-regulars. They even tuned in our game for us upon request on one of their 4 TVs.

This place was such a vibe!!! AG made sure we were taken care of the entire time. The bartender was highly knowledgeable and made a superb old fashion. The prices were also very reasonable.

Cleaner than it looks from the outside, but still has the dark ambiance, cheap drinks and epic juke box that the divey exterior promises.

I used to have a few in Smitty's in 1992... i think that was the year. Looks the same. Memorable.

If you're looking for your neighborhood bar this is it Usual Suspects along with entertaining atmosphere no credit cards accepted but the drinks are moderately to to $3 less than everywhere else

Well drinks are ok it's just what a dive bar should be. Local crowd where lotta people know each other and alotta people don't. So that makes for a friendly bar

Seems decent enough. The lighting was a little bright for my taste in a bar but that was it. Juke box and pool table gets a plus. The server was nice.

Great location good customer service. Drinks for reasonably priced. Id return to this location if I'm in the area to have a quick drink or two people watch.

Dropped in last night after a gig. Place smells like a bad plumbing situation. Both of our drinks tasted very poorly.

It's disheartening to share a negative experience, as discrimination based on religion goes against the principles of inclusivity. Unfortunately, I encountered a situation where, as a Muslim, I felt unwelcome in a bar and was asked to leave simply because I don't drink alcohol. It's disappointing to face such prejudices in a place that should be open to everyone.

Beware!!! There are HIDDEN CAMERAS in the women's restroom. Yes, it was reported to law enforcement. Stopped in after having dinner at Penrose, we won't be back! Drug deals happening right in front of us😲😟 Bewarey of this place, drug infested dive bar🤯☠🤯 but what dive bar isn't?

Racist. I'm deeply disappointed by what happened here. I came in, ordered tequila, 2 ciders, paid for it, and closed my tab. I then stepped just outside to sit down finish the last bit of one of the ciders - something I've seen people do countless times in my life all around this city and the world. A few minutes later, when I tried to return to toss it in the trash, I was told by the same white bartender who served me that I had STOLEN the drink and was now banned from the bar. Let me be clear: I paid for the drink. I was calm and respectful. There was no reason to escalate the situation, and certainly no reason to accuse me of theft. The fact that I, a Black man, was immediately assumed to be stealing despite doing nothing wrong speaks volumes. To make matters worse, I was on the phone at the time with someone who overheard the entire exchange--and even they commented on how much disrespect and contempt was in her voice when she said it. That kind of condescension and accusatory tone was just unprofessional. Instead of a simple heads-up about a policy (which, by the way, was never made clear), I was criminalized. Loudly. Publicly in front of someone else. Without hesitation. It was humiliating, infuriating, and heartbreaking to experience this in a city I've called home for 30 years. To those who run this bar: If your staff can't enforce rules without racial assumptions or power trips, the problem isn't the policy--it's the people. I won't be back. Update: The owner’s public response below falsely accuses me of lying, which only proves my point about their hostility and lack of professionalism.

People be aware of this bar worst experience ever the manager is islam phobic and racist not only that there is HIDDEN CAMERAS in the women’s bathroom. he kept insisting that i order a drink while i was with a group of 5 all ordered drinks except me because I’m Muslim and currently fasting at that time (ramadhan) even though i paid for the pool table he took the balls away and kicked me off threw at me 2 dollars when i told him i paid for the pool as an act of contempt ,such a disgusting human being and establishment.

Food: Average taste, expensive price Atmosphere: 90% of people were there for warriors game, refused to put on game sound over ther Latin (lol) music Sexist: 1 Female bathroom. 1 All-Gender bathroom. 0 Mens room. By definition, that's sexist. Apparently they don't agree with equality. Wouldn't return.
