This was a unique experience. You walk up to a food stand against a wall on a dark street. It opens at 8 pm and there's a line, so go early. Get a number and when they call it, you order.

Amazing tlayudas. We ordered the grande and it was huge! Definitely fits for 2 people. Remember, the price is without meat. With meat it's additional. We got the cecina.

Came here due to Netflix documentary about Oaxaca food. Arrived before they opened and quickly the long line showed up. But they gave every customer a number for line. The tlayudas is delicious and special made compared with other food stands.

Had several tlayudas in Oaxaca, but this was definitely the best one! 45 pesos for a “small” one is also a great bargain. Expect to wait for a while because it can get really busy, but it’s worth it

Not sure what happened to the old listing. They had a ton of reviews and I had contributed prior. These tlayudas are simply awesome. Locals and tourists alike line up and wait for these delicious treats. You take a number from the young man at the end and wait for your turn. On a weekday at 9 pm I waited for 40 or so minutes. They are quick and diligent but the demand is very high. The first time I went I over ordered not knowing how big a regular tlayuda was and how filling it would be. They look thin but that thinness goes a long way. Happy to report that leftovers reheat very, very well either in a toaster oven or a skillet with a little oil. Get some flame grilled proteins. The perfect accompaniment along with the delicious salsas and radish. I will never not go here when visiting Oaxaca. People that say they are similar to others in town .. well I don’t know what to tell them.

Service was friendly and quick despite our limited Spanish. We arrived within the first hour of opening so we didn’t have too long a wait. Portions are huge! Two large tlayudas would have easily fed four adults - the tasajo and chorizo were both delicious. Felt like a real experience to enjoy this meal surrounded by locals and the sounds and smells of the grill. Would thoroughly recommend to any visitors to Oaxaca!

Very nice tlayudas. Definitely it gets a bit crowded. Pick a tlayuda and then the meat you want. Maybe I recommend putting it multiple meats as the tlayuda is pretty big

Good Tlayudas Oaxaqueñas, they're really fast, but line is usually long, so be prepared to wait for a while! The technique of the woman controling the fire is truly amazing, but you can get better and more flavorful tlayudas at less hyped spots, like en Mercado de El Tule for example.
