Un buen lugar para cenar, la comida rica, buen servicio, música en vivo, si andas en plan romántico lo recomiendo! La terraza es buena y se puede platicar sin problema!

El lugar es muy agradable, la terraza tiene una bonita vista a la Iglesia de Santo Domingo. La comida está muy rica y las porciones, me parecen aceptables. Lo único que no me agrada es que cambiaron el menú y entre otras cosas desapareció mi plato favorita que era una pasta con chapulines que estaba deliciosa. Creo que sin duda es un lugar para pasar una tarde o velada agradable. A veces hay música en vivo.

Crítica a Gozobi Restaurante – Una experiencia que superó expectativas, pero... Teníamos tiempo queriendo visitar Gozobi, pero la experiencia comenzó con el pie izquierdo: intentamos reservar en múltiples ocasiones y jamás obtuvimos respuesta en ninguno de los tres números disponibles. Solo a través del chat recibimos una respuesta escueta, en la que nos informaron que no contaban con área de estacionamiento. Esa falta de atención inicial nos dejó predispuestos a lo negativo. Sin embargo, al llegar, todo cambió. El personal fue sumamente amable desde la entrada y nos acompañó hasta la terraza. Ahí comenzó el encanto: una vista preciosa de la ciudad que, sin duda, enamora desde el primer momento. La atención de nuestra mesera fue excelente: oportuna, cálida y siempre al pendiente. Pedimos clericot, naranjada y un chicharrón. Aquí llegó la gran sorpresa: el chicharrón dista mucho del concepto tradicional. Su preparación provocó una emoción inesperada en mi mamá, que casi derrama una lágrima al recordar los sabores de su infancia con mi abuelita ya fallecida. Sin duda, fue el éxito nostálgico y emocional de la tarde. Las bebidas, por otro lado, correctas pero sin destacar. En los platos fuertes elegimos una hamburguesa de sirloin y un pollo relleno de chapulines. Acertamos. Ambas opciones llegaron bien presentadas, abundantes y con un sabor que cumplió con creces. La experiencia terminó con una sensación grata y un merecido 9/10. Recomendación final: revisen y mejoren sus canales de contacto. Tener tres números que no contestan puede hacer que un cliente potencial nunca se convierta en comensal. Y no olviden: barato no es este lugar, así que hay que cuidar cada punto de contacto para justificar la inversión del cliente.

Ameno y relajado Apenas llegas te reciben con cordialidad, el servicio es excelente solo que lleva su tiempo la preparación de los alimentos, mientras degustan de una mezcalita para abrir apetito, disfrutar de la vista en la terraza que sin duda alguna es preciosa en el atardecer. Los platos que pedimos, todos estaban deliciosos, la calidad de los alimentos se percibía en cada bocado, el ambiente relajado, buena música, lo más divertido fue poder disfrutar de las calendas escuchando el sonido y la alegría de la gente desde arriba simplemente inolvidable. Sigan disfrutando de sus viajes y de buena gastronomía, salud! bye, bye!

Todo muy bien el ambiente es muy ameno, cuentan con música en vivo en la tarde noche es lo que hace un muy buen ambiente. La comida es buena porciones de buen tamaño al igual que las bebidas. Los postres son deliciosos

Excelente! En este establecimiento la comida es realmente deliciosa, probamos el ceviche, las costillas y la pasta de camarón, acompañamos con una ensalada con aderezo de jamaica y de bebidas pedimos sodas italianas de fresa. Subimos a la terraza y fue increíble, una vista preciosa. El servicio fue muy bueno, el personal nos trato con amabilidad, cordial y muy atentos. El ambiente es relajado, tranquilo, aneno, agradable para platicar, leer un libro, admirar la vista. Es un lugar que recomiendo al 100%.

Nuestra visita solo fue para tomar una cerveza de coctelería, café, chocolate y crepa esto estuvo muy bien en cuanto a su presentación, calidad, costo y porción, el costo también fue acequible buena atención del personal y solo para quienes aún no conocen el lugar tiene una escalera reducida, son bastantes escalones pero podríamos decir que algo reducidos si no es inconveniente estaría bien para visitar, la experiencia fue grata y recomendable.

Buen restaurante para venir a cualquier hora del día y disfrutar de una buena comida. Probé las enchiladas de mole rojo de la région de Zaachila, tuvo muy buen sabor. Además ordené un chocolate de agua, uno de mis favoritos en Oaxaca. El servicio es bastante bueno desde la entrada hasta que llegas a tu mesa y disfrutas de la vista hacia el cerro del Fortín y muchos cerros más a la lejanía. La atención de la mesera fue excelente y el trato muy gentil. Su menú tiene variedad pero no es amplia. Tienen jugos, cafés y bebidas alcohólicas. La terraza tiene bonita vista. Es un buen sitio para venir en grupo y compartir todos un buen lugar y una buena comida, desayuno o cena. Si vienes en la noche podrás admirar la belleza de Oaxaca desde la terraza del restaurante. Recomiendo el lugar el cien.

Es un lugar súper recomendado para ir a platicar, disfrutar de un buen platillo y tiempo con amigos, pareja o en familia. De mi experiencia puedo decir que el ambiente es 100% familiar, la elaboración de la comida es muy buena con un buen sabor, la porción es buena y es sabor es bastante bueno, el servicio de los meseros es muy buena ya que están al pendiente. En general el servicio es muy rápido y bueno. La vista del lugar es bueno, está muy limpio y en cuestión de costo-calidad vale la pena ir a este lugar. Lugar muy recomendado. Es un lugar que cuenta con terraza.

I had a wonderful lunch here. The view was amazing from the food top. The entire restaurant was beautifully and tastefully decorated. The staff were all friendly and attentive and full of hear-warming smiles. The food was among the best I’d ever had. From the complimentary tortilla and dips, amuse-bouche to the starter and the main course, all made with fresh local ingredients and executed with the chef’s personal touches. It was a very member meal for me.

After 5 amazing days in Oaxaca, Pitiona was the best for last! From the wonderful welcome by the Maitre’d, Pedro Gutierrez… to the amazing view of the Santo Domingo temple from our table, we knew we were in for a treat! We ordered three appetizers, the Ceviche Negro Tostada, the Chicatana Ceviche and the Aguachile de Chuletón… all three an amazing prelude to the main show. Our main entrees were the Tacos de Lechón, The Lobster and the Duck. The tacos were out of this world, tender, juicy and flavorful.. clearly the highlight of our meal. The Duck with the orange mole was also amazing, rich and savory and just right! We concluded with the Cacao Dessert and a digestif of the House Pitiona Mezcal… an incredibly amazing place with “you are family” service, best in town view and Michelin star level food! A+

Lots of inventive and tasty dishes and the drink pairing was a huge value in terms of both quantity and quality. Definitely the best wines I’ve had from Mexico. Pitiona was one of the most memorable fine dining experiences I had in Oaxaca. The ribeye tostada was hands down my favorite dish of the entire trip—absolutely phenomenal. The taco de lechón was another standout: juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The octopus was a bit chewy, but it still tasted great. The slightly crudo texture paired beautifully with the accompanying mole, adding a unique twist to the dish. The terrace seating and view were incredible, making the atmosphere just as impressive as the food. On top of that, the service was fantastic, rounding out an unforgettable dining experience. I had a wonderful experience here and would recommend a visit. The staff were outstanding and very attentive. The food was very good. I especially liked the ceviche. My octopus was slightly tough and I would have liked to have seen that dish with some uplifting flavors and not just a moles sauce and a chard onion -a slightly disappointing presentation, but all in all I enjoyed it. The recommended mezcal was quite excellent. Again, the service was appreciated along with an excellent view from the top. I'll be back.

This place had a great view of Santo Domingo Church, which makes it a unique place. The staff were really friendly and the food was delicious. We had a “watermelon tiradito” that I never imagined had in my life, the Smokey flavor was amazing and unique. Also, they had a mezcal aperol spritz that was delicious. There’s lots to share about this exceptional dining experience. From the majestic walk through the courtyard to our table overlooking Oaxaca to the unbelievable meal, everything was flawlessly executed. We started with a specialty mixed cocktail that included cucumbers. This was refreshing and relaxing. From there we added a couple of delicious appetizers, including a smoked watermelon that put us firmly in Oaxaca and made sure we were present. The steak appetizers were just plain yummy and traditional Mexico, which we both needed. For dinner we shared the grilled pork chop with risotto. This made me love pork all over again. And to add to the flavor we enjoyed some mezcals. I feel bad for forgetting the name of the dessert but you can see by the photograph that the chef spent weeks painstakingly assembling this masterpiece. The perfect start to our visit to this great country and fantastic region. Thank you Pitiona and Fernando for the perfect meal!

It touched my soul because I grew up over there, and it reminded me of truly Oaxaca flavors, but with excellent culinary techniques and gorgeous presentations. Great place. The night time views from the rooftop are spectacular, and the food was delicious! We ordered the cured fish and the ceviche with cactus (tuna) sorbet, and it was out of this world! My partner had the tripe taco and LOVED it, I had the beef and it was good, if not a little fatty (if that’s how you like it)! Would recommend. Some reviews comment on the service - We went in September(low season) and service was really good, might fluctuate at different times of year. Beautiful place, nice view of Oaxaca town, good food & service. We had braised pork belly taco, beef brisket with grasshopper sauce, and they were delicious! Pitiona Oaxaca truly captures the essence of Oaxacan cuisine with a modern twist. A dining experience that not only tantalizes your taste buds but also offers breathtaking views and a touch of nostalgia. La salsa estaba muy rica. Pero creo que ese pescado Dorado es así. Un poco fibroso. Recomiendo que sirvan limón con el platillo. Intensifica el sabor!!

La terraza es muy linda, no tiene estacionamiento, supongo que por el lugar de ubicación, su menú cambio, los sabores de las crespas disminuyeron, pero aún así es aceptable, algo cambio antes el lugar tenía un mejor menú y sabor, así ahora tienen un dueto desconozco si es todos los días.

Upon arriving at the restaurant for lunch, I was immediately struck by the grandeur and beauty of the place. The decorations and overall design were simply stunning, creating a very upscale ambiance. We opted to head up to the rooftop, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. When it came to the food, I have to say I was left feeling a bit disappointed. The cheese soup was rather average, but the carnitas tacos were a standout and I really enjoyed them. However, the fish dish we ordered was a letdown, as the fish was overcooked and tough, and the potato was overly salty. On the drinks front, the colibrí was a real winner – it was incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. I ended up having three of them, while my companion ordered a Negroni, which took quite a long time to arrive. We also tried another drink, the name of which escapes me. In terms of a misstep, we initially requested tap water but were served and charged for bottled water. Upon receiving the bill, we realized that we had been charged for the bottled water twice. It's definitely worth double-checking the items on the bill. The service started off well, but unfortunately, it became inattentive and slow as the meal progressed. Towards the end, it felt like the servers or bussers were rushing us, and even as we were finishing up dessert, a staff member was already asking if they could take the payment, without giving us a chance to decide whether we wanted to use a card or cash. Overall, the experience was decent, but I couldn't shake the feeling that the prices were quite steep, and it seemed as though we were paying more for the restaurant's name and the picturesque view. I might consider returning for drinks only in the future.

Las opciones de Gozobi me parecieron a primera vista limitadas ya que solo incluían tacos y otras opciones cárnicas. Sin embargo, se me ocurrió preguntar si servían ceviche y - efectivamente - obtuve una respuestas afirmativa. En ese sentido, quedé muy satisfecho. Pedí también tacos arrachera y estuvieron sabrosos. Pero estaban bastante escuálidos, casi sin rellenos. En ese sentido, me parece que pueden mejorar tomando en cuenta los precios. El ambiente estuvo agradable con un nivel de ruido moderado tomando en cuenta que tienen música en vivo. La vista es cautivante. El servicio es más lento, sobre todo al momento de recibir la cuenta y pagar por el servicio.

Beautiful food, service fine. Food mediocre to bad. I ordered a steak well done and it was rare by all standards. I’m not scared of rare but that’s not what I ordered—this was seared and still mooing on the inside. Mole a notch below the best places in Oaxaca. You can have the atmosphere and the food at Casa Oaxaca or Tierra del Sol. I would suggest it for drinks. Beautiful view of the church.

Pedí un sándwich de la casa con todo, pero no recuerdo haber pedido una comanda debajo del sándwich. La verdad y siendo honesto sus meseras son muy groseras y descorteses. Esperaba más y la única que nos atendió bien fue en jefe de meseros. Siempre se puede mejorar.

TLDR: Beautiful view, food was either really good or really bad. Service was absolutely terrible. Price was fair. We had a reservation, and I would definitely recommend one. We were sat in the top terrace with a beautiful view. They don't have physical menus, which bothers me. Scanning QR codes in random places is very dangerous. Would be nice to just have a menu available. Food For appetizers we had the Bao which was excellent, as other reviews have pointed out. We also had the pork belly tostada which was quite nice. For our mains we had the steak and the lobster risotto. The steak was a great cut of meat, cooked and seasoned perfectly. I ordered the bone marrow salsa with it, but there was no need. The steak stands on it's own. The lobster risotto wasn't good. There was an overpowering flavor in the dish which was all you could taste. Service The service was absolutely horrible. The server reached across me and my plate while I was either putting food on my fork or eating at least 3 times. No warning, nothing said, just an arm moving across me from behind and to the side. They removed plates and drinks without asking. They removed our napkins. It was just ridiculous. In case anyone is wondering, we were speaking Spanish, not English, so it wasn't a communication problem.

La terraza está linda, pero nada más! Nos atendió un chico (no recuerdo su nombre) y Amada, quienes fueron el top del lugar. De ahí en fuera, qué decepción. Pedimos que nos bajaran a una mesa pues el frío estaba horrible en la terraza y nos dieron una junta al baño (el lugar estaba vacío). Intenté pasar a otra mesa explicando que si tenían reservación íbamos a salir antes de que la mesa llegara y no supieron responder (nunca llegó nadie). La comida horrible, me dieron pasta con vegetales crudos y fríos, a mi novio le dieron una hamburguesa carne que olía vieja. La atención del lugar estaba muy bien, lástima por los chicos Somos regulares en Oaxaca y nunca regresaríamos a este lugar!

The place might look nice at first glance, but the experience quickly turned into a disaster. Despite the entire place being empty, the receptionist flat-out refused to accommodate us, repeatedly claiming there was a private event. What made it worse was her attitude—completely dismissive, cold, and frankly, borderline racist. Even after going out of my way to use Google Translate just to communicate, the girl at the front still refused to make any effort to talk or help. Completely unprofessional and rude. She made no real effort to explain things respectfully and seemed bothered by our presence from the start. I had read good reviews and expected decent service, but now I see why some say appearances can be deceiving. The service here is absolutely shameful.
