Recommended by our tour guide this place did not disappoint. They served only one type of taco but it was delicious -- moist and tender meat yet crispy edges - perfect from their rotating spit. Gets busy which is a great sign!

Really good tacos. In a city full of tourist spots this is a local place and we appreciated it (most people know the owners and workers by name!), quiet and that serves a short and simple menu. To other negative comments I've seen: No, there are no lemons. Yes, the prices are in a board. There are like 3 different prices (tostas and tortas cost the same). Yes it can get very busy and there is no table service (the place is maybe 6x5 meters long so not that is a big deal) so I understand owners may get a bit annoyed at too many questions, but I have NOT seen such thing. In our visit, it was packed, but they were super nice even when it was our first time there hence asked many questions and brought a tired toddler with us

One of the top five tacos in the city. It's spit roasted pork, but not al pastor. Just salty, porky goodness. They come five to an order and pair perfectly with the one salsa available, a verde. Don't skip an order of onions, which will remind you of the best French onion soup you've ever had. They have plenty of bottled drinks available, but you're a rube if you don't order the milk. It is legitimately the only good milk I've found in the city. Even the best cafes in town use the shelf-stable hyper-pasteurized trash for espresso drinks. This place gets fresh milk directly from a farm and it's perfect in every way. Service is efficient. Cash only. No English spoken. And this place is not a chain. There is at least one other taqueria in town with the same name and menu, but it's a knock off. This place is where you want to be.

Absolutely delicious! No frills, quick service, nicely busy. Very tasty meat - order the torta (especially if you like proper French bread) or the tostada if you want some vegetable toppings (tomato, avocado). Otherwise the tacos are just meat but you can ask for onions on the side. We had those as well and everything was so delicious.

Simple but amazing fare! These wonderful people have been making epic food for decades, and they know what their patrons like! Anything on the menu will make you happy and the price is well worth it. Follow your nose and you can’t miss Tacos Sierra. If you leave hungry, it’s your own fault.
