First off, I’m a fool for not giving this place a shot sooner. I just finished the ribs, chicken, Mac, and corn I took to go. The meats were perfectly smoky, tender, full of flavor from the seasons/rub, and juicy. The sauce was fantastic, however the meats were so flavorful I didn’t even use that much of it. The Mac was great also. I will be back very soon to try anything else I’ll be lucky enough to (hopefully collards, beans, brisket). Thank you, Nessa’s!

Found this little gem through a google search for soul food restaurants in my neighborhood. I called ahead and did not get an answer but something told me to make the drive anyway. Thank god I listened to my instincts. The restaurant was immaculate and the overall the food was good and fresh even though I went close to closing. My only critique would be that the red beans and rice was not up to standard. Other than that, the bbq sauce was excellent and complimented the ribs extremely well. The Mac and cheese was seasoned and the curried cabbage was to die for! I would definitely recommend if you find yourself in the area.

This is a legit, home cooked, small town bbq joint. The flavors and quality of everything we had were so excellent and prepared with love. The jerk chicken was exceptionally delicious. I could have eaten just the baked beans with a side of sauce. The collards were spiced perfectly, great texture, and not too salty. Don't pass up a stop if you're in town!

I don’t typically leave reviews, but I had to share how much I enjoyed my meal tonight. I came across an ad on Nextdoor and decided to give this place a try, and I’m so glad I did. Don’t let the exterior deter you—the food speaks for itself. I ordered the ribs with macaroni and cheese and French fries. The ribs were incredibly tender and truly fell off the bone. The macaroni and cheese was exceptional. I’m very particular about mac and cheese, and this one was absolutely on point. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. I will definitely be returning again soon. If you haven’t tried this place yet, I highly recommend that you do.

Went to Nessa’s today after doing a Google search for family friendly restaurants. We are a family of 6 and my kids who are very picky loved all of the food, we had the BBQ chicken, pulled pork, cabbage, fried okra, sweet potatoes, and baked beans. An amazing feast and the service was even better than the food. The atmosphere was so homey. It felt like I was talking to my grandmother as she was fixing me a plate in the kitchen. Good home cooking and incredible service, my wife and kids enjoyed it so I can’t be more satisfied with the experience!! If you are in the Ocoee area you have to stop in and give this place a try!!

Service was very good and attentive and answered any questions I may have had because I’m very picky when it comes to barbecue. I chose the jerk chicken just to try it out for starters. The jerk seasoning was not as pronounced as I would like, but I can tell it was still freshly cooked and it was tender. The rice was a little bit mushy, but it was good enough. The macaroni and cheese was very good tasted like it was made with real cheese And topped with more cheese. My husband had the ribs, and he said that they were tender and tasted even better the next day. The lunch special is extremely affordable and if I was in the area and wanted a hot meal, I would definitely come back here to do just that.

If I could give this all zero I would, if the other manager Glenda was still there I would give it all five stars but since she's left it's all gone downhill. Don't even waste your time. You can only do take out and they have this menu and you can't even order anything off the menu because they're "out of stock" Like I said don't waste your time... If she comes back to this establishment I'll rewrite my comment but as of right now, Nessas sucks.

Googled Soul Food in Orlando and this place among others popped up. The food was disgusting. The ribs were burnt with sauce slapped on it to hide the char. The macaroni wasn’t pleasant at all, cheese barely stuck to the noodles, and the greens tasted old and burnt way too much vinegar was used in the making of them. I’m highly disappointed ☹️ Please do better Nessa.
