My family and I came here for a birthday dinner. We've been here a few times before and it's generally been a good experience. We were here on a Wednesday evening and it was quite busy but we only had to wait about 45 minutes for our table. But even after we got the text saying our table was ready, we still had to wait about 5 minutes for them to prepare it - not a big deal but a bit confusing. The decor, as you can see from the pictures, is unique and very modern - an eclectic mix of Egyptian and Italian styles. The seating was spacious and comfortable. It's a fairly noisy place but what do you expect - it's the Cheesecake Factory - you don't go here for a simple, quiet dinner. We enjoyed the egg roll sampler, Caesar salad, crispy pineapple chicken shawarma, fettuccine alfredo with chicken, chicken parmesan sandwich and the chicken shawarma. All delicious. For the fettuccine alfredo, they were out of fettuccine which was a bit disappointing but they substituted penne which was a good alternative. The sauce was creamy and delicious and the pasta was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we ordered various cakes including the birthday sundae, the salted caramel cheesecake, the celebration cheesecake, and a low-licious cheesecake. The low-licious cheesecake is a good option if you can't have too much sugar in your diet: each piece only has five grams of sugar. They also included a small chocolate sundae for the birthday boy - nice touch. Our two servers (Mohab L and another gentleman - sorry, I forgot his name) and they were both friendly and attentive. In general, the food and service were excellent and we look forward to returning to the first (and still only) Cheesecake Factory in Canada.

I was there on Sunday evening with my gf and we didn't have too wait too long to be seated. Our sever was amazing. The food was great and the dessert was awesome. Will definitely be going back there sometime. I'll definitely tell my friends and my family to check it out too.

⭐ Cheesecake Factory Review ⭐ I had a great experience at The Cheesecake Factory! The restaurant has a warm, stylish atmosphere and the menu is HUGE — honestly, there’s something for everyone. The food came out fresh, well-seasoned, and nicely portioned. I especially loved the appetizers and the mains were delicious and satisfying. Of course, the highlight was the cheesecake! So many flavours to choose from, and each slice is rich, creamy, and worth every bite. The service was also friendly and attentive, even with how busy it gets. Overall, it’s a perfect spot for a nice dinner, a casual meet-up, or just stopping in for dessert. I would definitely go back!

Everything was delicious, the service was attentive. If you're looking for a spot where the portions are massive and the quality actually keeps up with the quantity, this was it. The old fashioned burger was perfectly charred, juicy patty with all the right fixings. The toasted brioche bun held everything together beautifully.

I absolutely love The Cheesecake Factory! Whether in Dubai, the USA, or Canada, the food is always consistently great. This time, we ordered the prawns pasta and the truffle vegetarian pasta—both were delicious, generous in portion, and very filling. Their bread basket with salted butter and refreshing drinks were also a nice touch. We sat outdoors and really enjoyed the pleasant weather. Since the portions are quite big, the three of us shared two pastas and were perfectly satisfied. Although we didn’t order cake this time, we usually love their Red Velvet Cake and Godiva Chocolate Cake—both are must-tries! The service has always been excellent at The Cheesecake Factory. Highly recommended!

This is a very busy location, but our experiences here are always incredible. The food is amazing and comes out fast considering the menu is huge. The servers all seem to love what they do. I noticed servers here are routinely relieved for breaks, upon which they introduce the server covering their break. In a busy place like this it is nice to see CF prioritizing breaks for staff. My complaint is the entrance. There is almost always a wait for your table, and when the wait is short, we customers all gather near the entrance and create a disorganized crowd of hungry folks that becomes difficult to navigate. There is almost always some bumping in to people in this front entryway area. Would love to see this process (entry to table) become more streamlined or to get more seating for those waiting for a table.

Food is amazing! I’m happy they have truffle fries cuz that is my fav. I recommend “Louisiana Pasta” and the shrimp pasta, they all delicious!! The place looks nice and always crowded! Thanks my friend highly recommend this restaurant to me! It’s good to spend time with your family and friends here!💗

I had such a wonderful experience at The Cheesecake Factory (Toronto – Yorkdale Mall). We ordered the Louisiana Chicken Pasta and Chicken Madeira, and both dishes were absolutely delicious — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The Passion Fruit Mojito was refreshing and well-balanced, and the Cookies & Cream Milkshake was rich, creamy, and not too sweet — just perfect! Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying the chocolate cheesecake, which was so rich and indulgent. Everything from the food to the service was excellent. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again! 🍰✨

Went for lunch with my mum. Our server Kim was lovely. I tried a refreshing blood orange aperol spritz. My mum had a turkey sandwich which came with the Caesar salad and an endless bowl of the daily soup which was chicken and artichoke. She really enjoyed it. I had the chicken Parm, which came with an Alfredo pasta. I could only eat about half of it. The size was enormous. We both took half our lunch home and then indulge in a slice of cheesecake to bring home as well. Mine was the Godiva chocolate and it was delicious. The restaurant is very loud, so not great for anyone hearing impaired but very accessible and spacious

Amazing service and great food! I had such a great experience at The Cheesecake Factory! The food, drinks, and dessert were all super tasty, but what really made the difference was the outstanding service from Daniela, the host. She was so friendly, professional, and made us feel welcome right away. You can tell she genuinely cares about making people feel comfortable and happy. It’s rare to see that level of attention and kindness these days — she truly went above and beyond. Because of her, our visit felt extra special. I’ll definitely be coming back. Huge thanks to Daniela and the team for making everything perfect!

Stepped in for lunch after a shopping spree. The ambience is great and the restaurant is pretty large. We ordered a 4-cheese pasta which was great. The portion size was humongous. Next came the grilled chicken and mashed potato combo meal. The chicken was crunchy and fantastic as did the jous. The mashed potato was smack on 👌🏻 Then came the quintessential banana cheesecake. Oh it was fresh and wonderful in flavours and freshness. Overall experience- fantastico 👍🎉

It is always worth waiting in line for a table here. Huge menu with shareable portions. I went on Thursday evening and ordered the ahi tuna nachos and steak Diane. Also couldn’t go without the signature cheesecake with strawberries. The appetizer was okay, although it arrived with the main dish so we were waiting for quite a bit, and tortilla chips went a little stale. The medium well steak was so tasty and went perfectly well with the mashed potatoes and flavourful mushrooms. The cheesecake was sweet and creamy paired with the juiciest strawberries I’ve seen. Our server was attentive and friendly which made our dinner enjoyable.

A bit pricy but the food is delicious! The portion sizes are big and the service was amazing. The ambience is great too typical American diner feels. The best thing is now the chicken is halal so more customers I feel.

Get here early for lunch so you can get a table! We arrived Saturday, half hour after they opened and we got the last available seat at that time. I would say the food is not the same as the US in that the portions, especially of the chicken lettuce wraps, are not the same. The flavour is but we definitely had more generous portions for the price in the US. The nachos were also better in Buffalo. I actually felt ripped off for the large sized chicken wraps we ordered and got two dry, not cut/sliced, sad chicken thighs, and minimal toppings. This is Toronto after all. Maximum bang for the buck doesn't exist. I can confidently say that the egg rolls aren't worth the cost. Only one of four was a unique flavour. If you want the brown bread and they don't bring it for you when you sit, ask for it and they'll bring it when some is made. It's popular. It is great slather in their butter. Be prepared to pay a lot when you go, if you also want cheesecake. The cheesecake starts at $14.50 a piece. I will go back here but will be ordering strategically next time. I will say that the cleanliness is like I've noticed in the US. The fixtures are cleaned regularly and minimal dust buildup. I like that. I have no idea who our server was but he brought us three brown bread because it wasn't available when we sat. He was absolutely in tune with everything we needed and handled the volume of customers he had like a champ. He checked on us just enough and refilled our drinks so fast without us asking.

First time here and it was a good experience overall. We walked in and were able to get a table. The menu is very overwhelming as it’s very long with a an extensive amount of options. Everyone enjoyed their food and the cheesecake was yummy.

Long wait as per usual, but if you put your name down and go to shop for a bit, your waiting time will pass very quickly! Haven’t been here since pre-covid and I am sure that the prices have gone up. Everything on the menu is very very pricey and steep for what the dish is. Nonetheless, the food we got was tasty and came out very fast! I got the chinese chicken salad and it was (1) a whole mountain and (2) fairly bland for what it could’ve been. the chicken was mildly seasoned, but the toppings like rice noodles, seeds and crispy wontons saved it. My girlfriend had the chicken piccata. she was very pleased with it, the chicken was juicy and well seasoned especially with the creamy mushroom sauce. the angel hair pasta is a great side! The warm crab dip was their best dish of the night. It was extremely delicious and exceeded all expectations and I dream about it at night and I wish I could eat it every day. It was warm and creamy and tasty and just perfect in every way possible. we shared the Adam’s Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple cheesecake and it exceeded expectations. delicious, exactly what we expected, no other notes.

Honestly pretty good even considering the long wait + steep prices + gimmick feel of it. Shrimp Scampi: - Shrimp was absolutely delectable with a flavourful crispy sear - Soft but still bouncy angel hair noodles - Really nice creamy and slightly peppery sauce, wish there was a little more of it! Farfalle with Chicken and Roasted Garlic: - Pasta was a good texture - Chicken was also tasty and not too dry considering the cut (chicken breasts) - Loved the bits of mushroom and tomato throughout - Garlic could be more roasted (same with our other dish tbh) Mango Key Lime Cheesecake: - Very refreshing and fruity! Didn't feel too heavy for cheesecake - Coconut crumb created a cool texture variance and provided a nice sweetness Overall very solid dishes for my first time there. Prices are pretty steep at ~$36 for each pasta (for non-authentic Italian food) and $15 per cheesecake slice, but I think it's worth going for special occasions.

I recently visited The Cheesecake Factory and tried a variety of dishes. For starters, I ordered the Spicy Shrimp, Buffalo Blasts, and the Santa Fe Salad. While the flavours were good overall, I noticed a big issue with the fried items. The oil tasted old, and it left an aftertaste that overpowered the food, especially the shrimp. For the main courses, I had the Spicy Crispy Chicken Burger and the Louisiana Pasta. The pasta was delicious and full of flavour, while the chicken burger was just okay and nothing particularly special. The portions, as always, were very large, which is great if you enjoy generous servings. Overall, the food was filling, but the fried dishes definitely suffered because of the old oil. I hope they improve that, because it really affects the experience.

I came here with a friend who frequents this spot a lot. We are both vegetarians, so we understood that our options would be limited. We started looking at the menu and decided on the Korean fried cauliflower and some brussel sprouts. It was okay, it didn’t blow my mind but I did enjoy the conversation with our server. She was very kind and answered all my questions. We were going to order their mushroom burger because the ingredients listed had no meat products, now imagine my surprise when I found out it had some sort of beef product on it! Oh my god! My friend ordered that burger multiple times before apparently and was never informed otherwise! She was so upset. I asked why the other ingredients were not listed and the server just said that “it’s American, that’s why”…that’s not a reason. I understand that vegetarians are limited, but you should be more transparent about this and inform the customer of such! Thank you to this server that helped us, I didn’t catch her name, but she was so understanding! I did like the vibe of the Cheesecake Factory though, very welcoming and fun. Decor…maybe a 6/10, again…it didn’t blow my mind. I might give it a second chance, but currently that chance is slim.

I have tried cheesecake factory in different countries but this one was a little disappointing. The food quantities were massive and the quality seems good too but there was lack of seasoning and the food tasted too salty for some reason; We tried the nachos, the cauliflower, the beef burger and the corn which was suggested snd pushed by the server! When i told my server that the food was too salty her exact words were ‘everyone else seems to like it, no one else felt that the food was salty’ which was very uncalled for. I like their cheesecakes so that. Hopefully they can work on their service.

The Cheesecake Factory has a nice overall vibe, but the experience is a bit mixed. Even on a weekday around 4 pm, the wait time was about 30 minutes, so be prepared for that. The ambience is visually nice, but the loud music really ruins it. With so much crowd noise already, adding loud music makes it stressful. They should keep the music at a very minimal volume to maintain a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food arrived fairly quickly within 10 to 20 minutes. I ordered the pineapple cherry limeade, fried mac and cheese, egg roll sampler, chicken fettuccini alfredo, and the chocolate tuxedo cheesecake. Everything tasted good, and the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. During happy hour, the discount applied only to the fried mac and cheese. The egg roll sampler was not included even though it is an appetizer, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, good food and service, but the heavy crowd combined with loud music takes away from the experience. NOTE: Their chicken menu is halal!

Slow services, tasty cheesecake but pricy, coffee and hot coco taste good. We order crabs balls appetizer $16 + n you get 6 of them. Not too impressive. They gave us complimentary breads n butter which is nice. Breads does taste good. I had been there before for lunch. Pasta tastes ok. In summary, foods there are taste good but pricy. Money seems not too worth it for me. Many choices cheesecake selections. Each piece over $16 + tax + tips.

Great atmosphere with high ceilings and opulent décor. Busy even on a Tuesday. Food was fresh and tasty (a bit on the pricey side), and the shakes were really good. Couple of downsides — the order wasn’t quite right and was kinna put on the spot to be ok with it. Also, the front line queuing needs process improvement review. Was waiting for a booth for 2 and was told to wait but few other ppl (parties of 2) came after and got seats in booths before I was called. No logic there and a bit annoyed.

The restaurant was pretty busy, but we got a seat right away. The menu had tons of options, and everything looked super tasty. It took about 45 minutes for our food to come after we ordered, and the portions were huge—definitely better to share. The food was really good, and the complimentary bread was a highlight. Plus, the fountain drinks are refillable, which is a nice bonus. We had a great time, but we were a bit let down because the cheesecake didn’t taste as good as before. It’s on the pricier side for the quality of food and service. They don’t take reservations, so you have to show up, put your name down, and wait for a table. They’ll text you when it’s ready, but expect a wait of about 1 to 1.5 hours. The service is friendly but a bit slow. The place has a nice, cozy vibe, and the restrooms are clean and well-kept. Overall, it was a solid experience.

Honest Visits

This weekend, I visited The Cheesecake Factory, a well-known and popular restaurant. Since it’s usually busy, I went without a reservation and had to wait around 15–20 minutes for a table, which I feel is completely normal for a place like this. Unfortunately, my experience after being seated was disappointing. The only part I truly enjoyed was the drinks — they were well-made and tasted great. However, the food and overall service did not meet my expectations, especially considering the price. I ordered an appetizer and a lunch special main course. Surprisingly, my main dish and drinks arrived within about five minutes. We started eating and even finished both our food and drinks, but our appetizer still hadn’t arrived. After waiting nearly 30 minutes for the appetizer, we decided to cancel it and leave. This is the first time I’ve ever had to cancel an order at a restaurant due to such a delay. For a restaurant with this reputation and pricing, I expected better coordination between the kitchen and service staff. It would help if the restaurant improves timing and communication between the kitchen and servers so dishes arrive in proper order.

TLDR; Loud environment, subpar food that’s not worth the cost (even considering the portion size), long wait times and mixed service (everyone was fairly rude except for our server who we tipped generously for making the experience much better than it would have been otherwise). Food: We got the warm crab dip, green chile chicken enchiladas, chicken Madeira, spicy chicken chipotle pasta, and 2x cheesecakes (which there’s no need to discuss as they’re always decent). Warm Crab Dip: Almost tasted like canned crab or as if the dish was being warmed up after previously being cooked. By far the worst crab dip I’ve had, but it was more than edible and the bread that came with it was alright. I love crab, but unfortunately I would never order this again. Chicken enchiladas: Chicken tasted rubbery, sauces were bland, rice was the majority of the dish yet did not stand out. This was the one meal that was barely touched. Chicken Madeira: The sauce was very underwhelming, almost bland and very watery. For something that’s considered the “most popular chicken dish”, it tasted like it was cooked by an amateur home cook. Again, not terrible by any means, just not worth buying at a restaurant. Spicy Chicken Chipotle Pasta: By far the best dish, but I’d still be hesitant to reorder it. It was alright, the sauce wasn’t as watery and actually had flavour, and the chicken was juicy. However, you can get much better for the cost. Service: 1h30 wait on a Sunday. I asked if we’d get a text confirming the reservation and when it’s ready, they said we would, so we continued to shop. I never ended up getting an initial text, so we stopped by an hour later and asked about what the updated wait time is for our reservation (was our first time there). Despite being polite as they were obviously busy, the desk person seemed visibly annoyed by the question and was hostile in his response saying that we’ve only waited 1 hour and we still have to wait 30 more minutes. To be clear, we weren’t asking for them to hurry up… we understood that it’s busy and that the Cheesecake Factory has a reputation for notoriously long wait times… but it would be nice to just simply be told the time without additional attitude. Atmosphere: Seems like the strategy for combatting the noise from diners is to crank the music up… which causes the diners to speak even louder. It was difficult to hear the people sitting across the table (despite being a meter away). Expect many people to pass by your table as they make their way to the front desk from inside the mall. Definitely not a place you should go to if you want to have a relaxed conversation with people. Overall: Seems like the portion sizes are meant to make up for the quality of the dishes. Although none of the food is terrible, it’s simply not worth the cost. For the price you’re paying, you can get much better chicken and pasta from chained and non-chained restaurants alike… especially in Toronto.

I finally gave in and decided to try The Cheesecake Factory after hearing so many mixed reviews and unfortunately, I can confidently say it was a major letdown. The biggest issue across the board was a complete lack of flavour. With the exception of one pasta dish, every plate we tried fell flat. The steak was shockingly underwhelming, arriving with virtually no seasoning at all. The pineapple shrimp was equally disappointing; soggy, overly battered, and heavy, with none of the freshness or balance you’d hope for. On a positive note, dessert was the clear standout. The upside-down pineapple cheesecake was genuinely delicious and easily the best part of the meal. That said, even here there was a bit of overkill, the excessive amount of whipped cream on the side felt unnecessary and detracted slightly from an otherwise enjoyable dessert. Overall, while the menu is extensive and the reputation is big, the execution simply didn’t deliver. Given the hype, I expected far more in terms of flavour and attention to detail.

Parisa M

The food was okay, but I really wish they would mark spicy dishes with a pepper icon like most other restaurants. I ordered quickly and missed the word "spicy" buried in the description, and as someone who doesn't like spicy food, I ended up not enjoying my meal. The cheesecake was tasty, but the big swirl of whipped cream on top adds unnecessary suger and doesn't feel very creative in terms of presentation. Also, our server didn't feel very welcoming or friendly, which affected the overall experience.

mad overhyped… they never pick up their 📞, they underestimate the wait time which is already quite bad on sats because they’re asking for 2h, their food is INSANELY overpriced for mid quality, and their service is so slow it might as well be non existent

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. We were there for dinner around 6.45pm and the front desk told us the wait time one hour which we expected for table of six people. So we went back to check around 7.45pm and they said that table is not ready and waiting for guests to leave. Manager(Sri Lankan or Indian) came around 8.15pm, he said still waiting for guests to leave and he's so clueless. I asked him what's the solution and he had no answer for it. Those guests ended up leaving around 9 pm. Luckily, they had the table of 9 people didn't show up and we got the table around 8.30 pm. They were asking people to wait for nothing. Manager works at this location so clueless and I don't know how he's capable of running this place. This is place so overated with slow service and pricey. Food is not that great and smaller portions. I highly recommend SCADDABUSH whichis known for great service, good food and the same price and larger portion. Overall experience was really bad and too long of Wait and not even sure you'll get the table and not worth of hype. Irresponsible people work at this location and avoid this place.

After many years of wanting to try the famous but somehow infamous Cheesecake Factory, I must say the experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes and I honestly have no complaint about that. The place is packed and we expected a wait. When we finally sat down, our server was on break but the one who helped us was very kind. When our original server returned, he was also polite and attentive. The bread and butter were delicious. I ordered a non alcoholic drink, the Passion Fruit Fizz. It was fresh and really good. My cousin had a cocktail and she enjoyed hers as well. Their grill was out of service so I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. It was extremely bland and the pasta tasted like it was starting to spoil. The chicken was overcooked, the vegetables had no flavor, the tomatoes were very sour, and the shrimp were overcooked. It was a complete mess and I had to send it back. About 30 minutes later they brought the Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp that our server recommended, saying everyone loves it. It was another major disappointment. I took it to go and had to refry the rice at home because it was barely cooked. I added spices just to make it edible. I have never had two dishes in a row be this disappointing. My cousin ordered chicken with mashed potatoes and that dish was actually quite good. I was so disappointed that I skipped dessert entirely. The total bill with tip came to 142.47 for two plates, two alcoholic drinks, and one non alcoholic drink. For the quality of food we received, it felt like a complete rip off. I left genuinely dissatisfied and will not be returning. I do not recommend this location at all.
