We enjoyed some drinks at the bar. The bartender was incredibly helpful and very approachable. I didn’t catch his name but he was a gentleman… I’d say mid 40s? With a beard. He was engaging, very knowledgeable about the beers on tap and the alcohol in the cocktails and had some lovely recommendations for the dessert menu.

Since we started coming to Farwood Bar and Grill it’s our favorite restaurant. Great food and service is fantastic. We always have for our favorite server Johnny. We started with Johnny and now we ask for him every time. It’s like a family when you come to Farwood Bar and Grill. All the servers and everyone else, take care of you so you have an awesome time. Love readying our newsletter every Sunday. Everything on the menu is outstanding and so hard to pick from. Signing up for rewards is an extra plus.

Best Ceasar salad I’ve had in a while! Chicken was very good quality. I was hungry and exhausted from my drive from Seattle to LA and needed something other than fast food. This was definitely the right stop! And to top it off all the service was amazing and considerate. Very sweet servers.

As designated driver I love the great mocktails offered. We drive from Chico because the food, drinks, service, atmosphere and decor are on point! We’ve never had a bad meal. There are 2 dining rooms (one with booths!), small outdoor dining in front, a banquet room and a gorgeous antique full bar. We were there for lunch but the dinners are great as well. Ample parking on the street and in their lot.

We were warmly greeted at the front door. Our server was very friendly and checked on us several times to see if everything was okay. The food was delicious as usual. We love everything about Farwood and recommend it if you want good food and service!!!!!!

Went for lunch. We ordered a burger with mushrooms and a French dip. Meals both were basic: burger and French dip wasn’t anything jump for joy about but wasn’t horrible. Service was excellent and atmosphere was nice. I am curious about their dinner plates but will probably stick to having just lunch here. Price is typical for lunch apprx $20 a person

Lovely place! We received prompt service from the time we sat down (lunch time on a weekday). We were checked on, food came out in a good amount of time and drinks were refilled multiple times which was a nice change from what we've been experiencing at other restaurants. The food was outstanding! We had a Farwood Salad with grilled chicken (half size) and the Steak Frites. We'll be back!

Dropped the teenagers off at the corn maze then went into town for a date night dinner with the hubs. They had patio seating out front and several tables inside. I became very excited when I saw the ahi poke nachos on the list of appetizers and ordered them up right away with our drinks. Out came this towering plate. The light and crispy wanton "chips" were wonderful. Topped with plenty of tuna and other goodness! They were amazing!! Highly recommended. The hubs had the fish and chips and I had the salmon. He reports that his entree was good, but not great. The slaw was different, sweet and not overly vinegary. I found my salmon to be delightful 😋. There was this caramelized crust all around it so you got some crispness in each bite. The pineapple salsa was refreshing. And, the rice on the side was locally grown from Hamilton City.

Continuing on my path down to California, I found Farwood to be the perfect lunch stop! We came here on Sunday afternoon with no reservation with 3 people and were seated immediately. The town is quite empty but Farwood is bustling! Food: We started out with the Avocado Fries which are honestly kind of weird and really crunchy texture. It works well though and tastes good with the aioli sauce! I got the Tri Tip Dip sandwich which was really great with the sauce provided and the bread really complemented the steak. In addition, I got to taste the tomato bisque which was quite watery but still sweet and savory. Service: Honestly one of the best parts! Our waiter was a young fella who was extremely upbeat and accommodating to us. 5 stars! Ambiance: This place is more upscale but at the same time quite casual and good for a comfortable date. Overall glad I stopped by and happy that it wasn’t a sketchy place along the I5!

I visited this restaurant for the first time a few months ago and had an excellent experience. The food ordered by everyone in my party (4) was delicious, and the service was attentive and efficient. The only drawback during that first visit was that, despite having a reservation, we had to wait about 20 minutes outside in the heat. Since it was a busy Saturday, I understood the delay and didn’t dwell on it. On my second visit, I was hoping for the same level of service. This time, we had reservations for a Thursday evening (party of 2), and the wait was only a few minutes. Our server was prompt and efficient, allowing us to place our drink, appetizer, and entrée orders on her first stop. She did forget the chilled glass for the beer, but that was a minor issue. The poke nachos were enjoyable, though I probably wouldn’t order them again as the portion of poke didn’t seem to match the price. My fiancée ordered the beer cheese burger, which was cooked well, but overall the texture was somewhat mushy and lacked distinct flavor. I ordered the salmon piccata pomodoro. While I understood the portion size, I found the dish overly rich, with the flavor dominated by butter. I know piccata is meant to be butter-forward, but there were no lemon notes to balance it out. The capers, however, were the saving grace of the dish and provided the only brightness. Additionally, I had requested a side of parmesan at the time our meals were served, but it wasn’t brought out until I was already halfway through my meal. Again, not a major issue, but a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t order any of the dishes we had during this second visit. On future visits, I’d likely stick to what we enjoyed during our first experience, as those dishes were excellent. I also found the appetizers to be overpriced, and the one we tried didn’t justify its cost. As for the rewards system, I was surprised to learn my points had already expired. I dined here in July and spent around $400 (possibly more), so I expected discounts would still be applied at checkout. It could be that I misunderstood how the program works, but I think extending rewards for up to six months would make it more appealing. I personally can’t afford to dine at an upscale restaurant like this every month, but I would return more often if the rewards carried over longer. If the goal is to attract locals as well as out-of-town visitors, keeping the discount period more flexible might be worth considering. Overall, I would rate this most recent visit a 6/10. I look forward to returning, but I’ll likely stick to the menu items I know the restaurant does best.

Got a salad and it was okay at best. Steak overcooked, smelled a bit funny with some vegetable oil. Too much fried mushrooms and onions - has hard to taste anything else. It’s definitely not $26 salad. On the over hand, service was very good, fast and attentive.

Went there this week and feel the standard has dropped.Server did not know the menu too well.Drinks served promptly. Appetizer Chicken Wings came after the entrees.Server was indifferent. Had 2 Steaks so-so on the small side lacked seasoning and vegetables not strained mashed potatoes lumpy.Tuna Poke Nachos were fine.The final Chicken wing had blood on the bone.Pointed this out to server who was indifferent.Will let them know was the response .More excited about pushing the promo. Total Bill with drinks and tip $186. It will be awhile before I return.

will never eat here again. I used to come here all the time when I lived in Chico, but whatever has happened over the last few years has completely destroyed this place. The staff and overall service have fallen to an embarrassing, unacceptable level. We arrived on a busy night, which any halfway competent restaurant should be prepared for, yet we waited over an hour while half the restaurant sat empty. To make it even worse, multiple groups who arrived after us were seated first. That is not bad luck or a one off mistake. That is pure incompetence and complete mismanagement. The service only got worse once we were seated. Our waitress spent more time chatting than doing her job. We were given one small bowl of bread with three pieces for a table of six people. If basic math is too difficult, she should not be working in food service. The lack of awareness and professionalism was shocking. If I could give this place a zero or a negative rating, I absolutely would. This was an outright trash experience at what used to be a solid restaurant. Negative five stars without hesitation.
