Four Flamingos is praised for its excellent food, attentive service, and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is noted for treating guests like royalty and making them feel at home. Some find it a bit pricey, but the quality is generally considered worth it.
Tip: If you appreciate high-quality food, this place is a must-visit. The lamb dish is highly recommended.
Words can't express the amazing experience our family received from the moment we entered the restaurant. The greeting was warm and family like. We were seated and our waiter greeted us and treated us like royalty. They treated our children with such care that they enjoyed everything. The appetizers were fantastic, never before had we tasted such delicious items. When the main course arrived and we started to eat, the taste, the presentation, the aroma was simply off the charts. For dessert we had a special crembrulle which we had never seen nor tasted. The kids had ice-cream that they enjoyed very much. If you ever want to experience a once a year, over the top dinning event, this is a great option.
Food, service, and ambiance were all amazing. Our server was very attentive and offered great recommendations throughout the meal. The drink list had something for everyone in our party, and while the drinks were strong, they were also flavorful, a perfect mix. The tuna mango appetizer was delicious and beautifully presented. The swordfish had the perfect texture and flavor. I normally don’t eat swordfish, but this one was better than anything I’ve had at other seafood restaurants. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the gouda mashed potatoes were incredible. For dessert, the dulce de leche crème brûlée and key lime pie were out of this world. My only complaint was that parking is a bit of a walk from the self-parking lot to the restaurant. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
We visited Four Flamingos a month ago. The food and service exceeded my expectations. Everything was flavorful and we enjoyed every bite. Staff are also very friendly and welcoming which added to the experience. The matcha Bailey’s that is made in house was a strong finisher to a very enjoyable dinner. Would love to come back.
Four Flamingos was absolutely amazing our Server/mixologist was so attentive and knowledgeable about the food as well as the amazing drinks she is designing. I would absolutely recommend anybody go to Four Flamingos, I had the Osters which were absolutely to die for, the Lobster Mac and Cheese was incredible and had an entire Lobster tail on top. The Florida Old Fashioned is inspiring and oh so delicious! Richard Blais is a gastronomical genius!
My husband and I had such a wonderful date night at Four Flamingos for Magical Dining! The crab cakes were absolutely incredible, I enjoyed the chicken, and he loved the fish. Dessert was the highlight of the night—our favorite part! Highly recommend this place for a special evening.
Had an amazing dinner at Four Flamingos! The food was so delicious and full of flavor. I can tell a lot of thought goes into every dish. The vibe is fun and tropical, perfect for a night out. Huge shoutout to Chef Junior, he was so attentive and genuinely cared about how we were enjoying the meal and visited us throughout our dinner, which made the experience feel really personal and special. You definitely don’t see that often. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for great food, great service, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Will be coming back for sure!
Great restaurant, excellent service. The food is amazingly delicious. The chef; Josue Perez is a top notch chef. Excellent culinary skills. Friendly and always has a positive attitude and a smile. I recommend this place 200%.
Four Flamingos never disappoints! Their Magical Dining Menu is amazing. Their food is so good and I absolutely love the gourmet twist to Hispanic food. Take the time to explore a unique menu that will leave you wanting more!
Everyone welcomed us with the warmest smiles and kindest gestures. Our server, sorry we forgot name, was also very helpful and accommodating. We came in for Magic Dining and everything was superb: crab cakes, grouper and panna cotta were all incredibly delicious; especially the surprise birthday dessert. Our favorite was still the blueberry colada. Thank you so much for an unforgettable birthday, Team Blais 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Came in late after the Daytona race and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the oxtail empanadas which were delicious and the chutney with them gave you a nice sweet and savory contrast. The oysters were a nice surprise with the freeze dried pearls and are a must have. The ceviche was great with the flavors being fresh, just would have liked a vessel like a chip or something to soak up some of that sauce. The main courses were black grouper and the sea bass. Both were cooked perfectly and the sauce on the sea bass was exquisite with the hint of the key lime in it. The grouper and gnoochi were a perfect blend. Definitely would recommend coming and trying this restaurant out.
Difficult review to write. First the atmosphere is divine. Colorful, fillef with vitality. You see the cooks at work if you sit in the dining room adjacent to the kitchen. Staff could not be nicer. Jayson at the bar was very congenial as we started with happy hour cocktails and appetizers. The salmon croquettes with plantain were tasty and creative as was the very ample smoked tuna dip with again plantain chips. spouse had the Euphoria cocktail, very exciting. We then went to dinner, starting with the oxtail foie gras empanada which was delicious. The entrees were a bit disappointing. I had the mojo chicken which unfortunately was overcooked, bit bland and dry. I had to doctor it up with lime, salt and pepper. She haf the seafood moqueca which was quite tasty but the potatoes and plantains in it were clearly undercooked. Not what you would exoect from a Michelin recommended resraurant. Think of the flavoring as Carribean Nouveau. Lots of carribean flavors mixed wirh a variety of unexpected spices. Very tasty, unusual and creative but sometimes just too many flavors overwhelm the palate. Dessert was the Baked Florida which was good and again unusual. Definitely a restaurant to visit but I am not sure I would soon return as the flavors were somewhat intense. Prices were a bit on the high side.
Ambiance was wonderful, all women were given a rose, and as we sat to the table, we were also given a complementary glass of rosé champagne. Renzo was our server. Shortly after we sat, we realized that we had a really wobbly table, both the legs and the table top and it was a little annoying and so before we ordered our appetizers, we did ask if we could be moved. somewhere else or sever got someone one and then A woman came a few minutes later to tell us that it would be five minutes for an inside table and we were given the option to sit outside we did not want to sit outside, so we opted to wait the extra five minutes for a table inside. Shortly, after that, i the maître D now comes with an iPad in his hand and states he can sit us outside if the table is an issue, but there are no more tables available inside. Needless to say at this point, we were annoyed, but we were still hungry so we opted to just suck it up and stay where we were. After a while, the neighbors on our left and our right told us they two had wobbly tables, but they sat an ate so we figured why complain if they’re not... although one of the neighboring couples did say for the money we’re paying these tables shouldn’t be this way. The starters and the snacks came out at a decent pace. I have to give it to them. Everything we ordered was good, so the rating I provided is not based on our server or the food it’s solely based on the experience. The main course took about an hour to arrive to our table and while we were waiting, we noticed tables receiving bread and we had been there for quite some time and we’re never given bread. I asked our server who apologized profusely and stated that should have been given to us and went ahead and got it for us right away. our main course finally arrived. My husband, for the inconvenience of the table did ask for the valentine menu Wagyu, New York strip, and the chef did agree to provide it for us because we were ordering à la carte items. His meal looked absolutely delicious as shown below however, his steak came out cold and that’s really odd because the server told us that it would take a little longer because he wanted his medium well and he wound up getting it medium. My Chilean Seabass was yummy with the lump crab meat on top of it however, I do believe if it did not have the sauce it was sitting on and the lump crab meat on top it would not have been as good as it was. I did taste the fish alone and it wasn’t all of that. So it was nice to come here and try their dishes. The same woman who had told me earlier that there would be a table available in five minutes was the one who was supposed to provide us bread, refill our waters, and clean the tables. My cup of sparkling water was never filled, although she proceeded to fill everyone else’s around us. Our server noticed and went ahead and took care of it himself. It felt like he was doing her job in addition to his own tables. I really hope she doesn’t receive any of the tip we left, because he truly busted his butt for us. In any case, it was still a nice experience. The dessert was delicious, the company was outstanding, and I love my husband.
Crab cakes were divine. Highly recommend getting those. Worth the splurge. Meaty and served with a spicy sauce and refreshing slaw. Paired the chef dining menu with a blueberry colada mocktail. Delicious. The chicken mojo entree left a lot to be desired. It needed more sauce. The rice and beans were great but chicken itself rather lacking in texture and moisture. It wasn’t easy to cut, unfortunately. I wanted a more comforting plate of food, and would get a different entree next time. The other guests at the table raved about their grouper. Enjoyed the dulce de leche flavored creme brûlée, but the texture was thicker than expected.
We had a reservation at 5 and we decided to get a table by the bar to enjoy happy hours. The drinks were amazing and at happy hour price you really can't get any better!. We ordered magical dining. Service was great. We did have a hiccup with one of the dishes, but the manager and server were so quick to fix it! Very professional which you don't see a lot at restaurants. Would definitely go back, plus the property is beautiful.
9/28/25: Got food poisoning. I noticed afterwards, someone left a review 3 weeks ago saying they also got very sick after eating here. I ordered from the Magical Dining menu. Paid about $98 after tax & tip. Had ordered the crab cakes for the appetizer, but the waitress brought the lobster bisque. She said I could keep it and would bring out the crab cakes as well. I don’t usually eat lobster bisque, but it was luke-warm and the center of the baby lobster tail was cold. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but I’m wondering if it was undercooked now because the stomach cramps happened about 40 minutes into my meal. Either way, it’s not something I’d order. The crab cakes were fried, but when you cut into the breading, it had nice chunks of crab meat. I ended up taking off a lot of the fried capsule and leaving it on the plate. They up-charge $18 for these from the prix-fixed menu for Magical Dining. I personally thought it was more like an entree than an appetizer. I think it should be served as two crab cakes instead of three and then maybe no up-charge? The orange sauce on the plate was lacking flavor, I thought it was missing a bit of horseradish. So, I wouldn’t order these again either. Lastly, I had the red grouper. This was my favorite dish. It came out hot. It’s in a butter sauce, which I enjoyed. Unfortunately this is when my stomach felt a little full and starting having some pain, to which I thought was from being full. So I only ate half of it and asked for the panna cotta to-go. The staff was very friendly. I smiled as I walked out and let them know I enjoyed the grouper. I made the walk from the restaurant to the hotel to get to my car (which they only have valet if you’re not staying there). I had just made it into the hotel when the cramps kicked in hard and I started feeling nauseous. I got the cold sweats and started getting shaky. I finally went to front desk in the lobby of the hotel to notify them so they could tell the restaurant in case there’s something wrong with the food. I immediately rushed back to the bathroom and ended up throwing up a good portion of my dinner. I sat in the bathroom for nearly two hours in the lobby, waiting for the waves of pain to go away. The front desk lobby gave me a bottle of water, offered some Tylenol and antacid from their medical kit (I let her know it was not an ant acid issue) and took my name and phone number. ———- Update: I sent an email to the restaurant the next morning to notify them in writing if the incident. Hershel called me back the same day to check on me. He sent me an incident report to show that they do track these cases. He also offered to compensate the dinner. I appreciate them taking accountability and working to improve the food quality.
We went there for our anniversary dinner. We ordered the coconut shrimp, mojo chicken, oxtails and the tiramisu tres leches. The shrimp weren't bad but for 3 large shrimp, it was overpriced. We received our entrees very quick and they were room temp which made it clear that they were not made to order. The best part of the meal was the bread they brought to the table and the dessert. The waiter was very nice and the manager came over and made things right but we would have rather had a great meal and experience. It's unfortunate as we were really looking forward to it, but we will not be back.
Went for magical dining/main menu with a group for the first time. Grilled octopus was incredible, aguachile ceviche was OK. Bread was cold. The chicken on magical dining was not very good and grouper was dry and flavor wise was one of the worst fish I’ve had. Our friends lobster Mac and cheese had a raw lobster tail but the pasta itself tasted good. Creme brûlée and baked florida were decent but nowhere near worth the price. Blueberry colada was wonderful! Unfortunately a few hours later I became very sick. The restaurant was beautiful situated in the heart of the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress which is just gorgeous. The staff was all very nice, we loved our server Stephanie. She did everything she could to make our experience better. Overall incredibly surprised a well know chef like Richard Blais would put his name on this restaurant.
To preface, we had the pleasure of dining at Four Flamingo’s several years ago and had a fantastic experience that made us excited to return. Unfortunately, our Mother’s Day Brunch experience today completely changed my perspective due to the poor food quality and absurd $120 per person price tag for the bleak offerings. For a $120 per person brunch, you’d expect this to be the best brunch you’ve ever had. This landed in our bottom 5. THE OFFERINGS: The brunch consisted of a raw bar of shrimp, ceviche, and oysters. There was a “prime rib” station (it was a rib roast) with a side of potatoes, and a triple tail station with a side of asparagus. There was a hefty meat and cheese selection with good variety and some small salad cups. There were pancakes, bacon, sausage, and steamed scrambled eggs. The dessert consisted of a couple of varieties of cookies, a cake, and a couple of small tarts. There was NO: - fresh fruit (aside from the side of berries with the burnt pancakes) - yogurt, oatmeal, or other reasonably healthy breakfast/brunch options one might expect. - SALT, on any of the food, at all. THE QUALITY: - the restaurant is known for its seafood, but the ceviche was honestly embarrassing. It had no salt or acid; it was clear that no one tasted it prior to putting it out (or even worse, they did, and put it out anyway). - the “prime rib” was overcooked and had no color. The potatoes used to make the mashed potatoes were pre-peeled, not freshly peeled. - the fish was overcooked, dry, and had no salt - like everything else. - the eggs were cooked in a hotel pan in a steamer and then mashed up. - The bread tasted like it was baked fresh, two days ago. - the madeleines for dessert just tasted like yellow cake. Working in the food service industry, we understand that there has been a shortage of kosher salt, but Four Flamingo’s should really look at investing in alternative options instead of opting out of salt altogether. - the cheese selection and the ricotta pancakes (although slightly overcooked) were the best options, but they were definitely not worth $120 per person. The macarons for dessert were also decent (but again, not worth the price tag). The brunch also came with two small plates per person, we opted for the Oxtail with plantains and the scallops. We were hopeful that the composed dishes would demonstrate the positive experience that we had previously at the restaurant, understanding that the restaurant is not built to produce buffets. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The scallops were rubber and caked with blackening seasoning that crumbled onto the plate when cut. It tasted like blackened rubber. The oxtail was one-note and too sweet across the board. THE SERVICE: Our server was the bartender and was preparing the drinks while working the patio section, so it wasn’t surprising that he was overwhelmed. He was friendly and personable, but just ultimately not set up for success. He made positive suggestions and offers, but kept forgetting them because he was so busy behind the bar. Overall, we paid $355 for brunch for two people including three mocktails and two cups of coffee. We don’t mind paying for food - but the quality has to be there. This was the most regrettable money for food we have ever spent. The restaurant went all-out advertising a high quality buffet for a celebratory holiday, and they failed to deliver in so many ways. On the plus side, we’ll always remember the Mother’s Day when we paid $355 for steamed eggs and overcooked fish.
This was a terrible experience. If you don't want your mood ruined, it's best to avoid this restaurant. The food had strange flavors, odd combinations (such as steak with mushrooms and taro), and the dishes were incredibly salty. Even after mentioning it to the waiter, the food remained excessively salty, so much so that you couldn't taste the original flavors of the ingredients and needed to constantly drink water to even manage to eat it. I also couldn't understand the use of vegetable cream in the lemon tart, especially for a restaurant that isn't cheap. The waiters tried their best, but perhaps due to understaffing during the holiday season, they couldn't adequately attend to every table. I requested napkins before the meal, but I didn't receive them even after two hours when I paid the bill. The waiter's service was also too simplistic; when introducing the dishes, they only said things like "This is short rib," "This is scallops." Come on, I ordered the dishes myself, I can see what they are, I don't need that kind of introduction. I understand that there might be staff shortages during the holidays, but these issues are unacceptable for a restaurant that isn't inexpensive. This review is based solely on the New Year's holiday menu.
Really disappointed to be writing this review. My fiance and I love going to different restaurants by Top Chef contestants throughout the country and Richard has always been my favorite. This was our first time at one of his restaurants and to make it extra special we saved it for my fiance's birthday dinner. I'm very sad to say I spent over $400 on a subpar meal. I had their signature swordfish and it was drowned in butter. My fiance had the filet and ordered it medium, it came out rare/med rare. The server was attentive enough, but completely lacked any personality or the type of customer service you expect with the price tag for the meal. This was a restaurant we'd been looking forward to trying for a long time and our first time will certainly be our last.
