Opinions de Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant Orlando
I've been to many chinese restaurants in Orlando this place has the best authentic chinese food hands down. For all the haters you guys grew up eating the americanised Chinese food. I've been going around Orlando trying to satisfy my nostalgia and this place hits the spot. I ordered bean curd skin with pork, salt and pepper squid, pan fried combination noodles and salted fish chicken fried rice (top left , clockwise order on the photo). I left the noodle gravy out of the photo but it was packed with ingredients! I'll be back for more!
Hidden gem from the tourist traps of other Orlando restaurants. Go here if you want dim sum at ALL times of the day, freshly made, just as they do in Hong Kong and delicious Cantonese Chinese food. It’s the real thing, folks - skip P.F. Chang’s and go here instead. Just look at the menu, so much variety and goodness in one sheet. Highly recommended!
Vacationer in Orlando. Have been here to take out a bite or two every time we've been here. This definitely satisfy my need for authentic Chinese food. Specifically Cantonese. They have dim sum everyday from 11a- 4p, an authentic menu, as well as a normal Chinese menu. Price is reasonable. Food is good. Speed is average. Service is standard as well. I'd recommend this place and definitely will come back tomorrow for dim sum.
I am thankful to have this place so near my house. The food is wonderful. They have an extensive dim sum menu, plus a full food menu on top of that. The soup dumplings and pork buns, OMG! I am not going to make the case that this is the best Chinese food ever. But it's really good. I enjoyed the Mongolian beef and Sechuzan beef soup. The staff is attentive and helpful if you're not sure what to order. This place is definitely worth a try.
I just knew it was going to be good when I saw the 3.8 rating. I think it should be much higher, but overall the food and the service was great! If I’m back in Orlando again I will most definitely come back to eat here! I got the soup dumplings, chow fun, salt and pepper tofu, and the lotus leaf.
BIBI and LILY were superstars. My first time here and I can't wait to go back. The food was Delishhhhhhh I ordered 2 seafood dishes per LILY'S recommendations and she read my heart because I enjoyed every bite. I also ordered curry fried rice and cucumber salad and OMGoodness!!!! Thank you guys I will be back.
Ask for Connie to be your server, she is amazing! Love me some Golden Lotus! Returned last week and I got pepper steak lunch, my neighbor got the shrimp with vegetables. All the food was Outstanding and yet again the Eggrolls were spectacular! I will now be a regular! Went to lunch with my neighbor last week. Boy was our food good! The restaurant was very clean and they were taking temperatures as you walked in the door, good thing, for sure. Made me even feel safer! So we both ordered sweet and sour chicken, large portion served with rice, fried or white and egg rolls. The plating was impressive, the chicken all white meat and delicious, the sauce awesome. Egg rolls were a hit as well. I appreciated that unlike many restaurants that hiked their prices during Covid, this restaurant still maintains a lunch menu $6.95 and soda's are only $1.00. So delicious and sooo reasonable. We liked it so much we are returning this week to try other menu choices. One of my new favorites!!
We were there today for Dim Sum. It was excellent. We tried around 8 different dishes and they were all great. We also purchased one noodle and chicken for one 5 year old and he loved it and also a chicken and broccoli dish and the 3 year old loved that. We will return soon.
Great little Chinese restaurant. The dim sum and authentic Chinese dishes were great! Highly recommend salt and pepper pork and shrimp dumplings.
My colleagues and I recently dined at Golden Lotus, and it proved to be an excellent spot for large group gatherings—especially if you enjoy dim sum. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes that are ideal for sharing, making it a fun and social dining experience. From dumplings and buns to rice and noodle dishes, there was no shortage of flavorful options to go around. One highlight for me was the fried rice with Chinese sausage and honey BBQ pork—a standout dish that was both rich in flavor and impressively tender. The savory-sweet combination made it a table favorite, and I would definitely return just for that. That said, there were a few challenges worth noting. The service, while prompt, came with a bit of a language barrier. Communication was difficult at times, particularly when it came to ordering. We experienced a mix-up where a dish we didn’t order was brought to our table, and the server initially insisted we had marked it. In reality, we hadn’t even found a pen to fill out the order sheet and had asked the server to take our order instead. The confusion could’ve been avoided by double-checking the order sheet before handing it over, so I highly recommend doing so if you’re not fluent in Chinese. Despite this hiccup, the overall experience was very enjoyable. The lively atmosphere, combined with great food and a communal style of eating, made it a memorable outing. Just come prepared for a bill that can add up quickly—but it’s well worth it for the quality and experience.
We had a wonderful experience here! Calm and quiet atmosphere, clean tables with outlet convenience, and deliciously authentic food! Our server was incredibly sweet, attentive, and helpful. We will absolutely be coming back, and I hope they receive more recognition in the future. This is a golden spot!
The Food Was Amazing! The Service was Excellent. I ordered the spicy cucumber salad, and the Peking Duck. It was really very tasty and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who comes to Orlando ✅. 5 Stars for Both Food and Service
I went to Orlando to visit my daughter and her husband. I spoke with her on the phone and we decided to meet and have brunch. She recommended Golden lotus. I had never been there but dim sum is one of my favorite things to eat. When I got there at 11:00 a.m. it was empty I was the first one in the restaurant. I sat down and I ordered a few things for my daughter and her husband. About 20 minutes after they got there the food started coming out one dish after the other. Oh my goodness it was so good. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The servers there were so nice. Everything was so clean and tidy. Dish after dish kept coming out and the food was just absolutely delicious. After about 30 minutes the restaurant was filled. Every table was full of people who were enjoying this wonderful food. Yes I spent about $120 for three people and I would do it again quickly. I had a wonderful time my daughter and her husband had a wonderful time. I recommend Golden lotus to anyone who loves fresh dim sum in the morning.
Delicious vegetarian options. We got the spicy eggplant, braised tofu and mixed vegetables, salt and pepper tofu and the vegetable fried rice. Super delicious all around, very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. 10/10
Authentic Cantonese food, dim sum. Very close to what you get in New York or London. Reasonably priced. Good place to stop before heading to the airport
Very good cantonese food! Ordered to go and the wonton noodle came with the soup separate as well as the sauce from the fried crispy chow mein! Great packaging and care!
The food here is amazing. We ordered some different kinds of dimsum and it didn’t disappoint. Server was very nice as well. Definitely will be coming back. 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not sure how this place is at 3.9 in reviews! This place is so amazing (that is if you have a taste in authentic Chinese cuisine). We ordered the Steamed Chicken in Chili Sauce and woah! It was so delicious!! Spicy and sweet with a hint of peppercorn that’ll numb your mouth in a positive way. The chicken was tender to the bite and so satisfying. This is a cold dish so don’t expect it to be warm, it is supposed to be mildly cold but it’s sooo good!! Next, we ordered a variety of dim sum dishes and chicken feet. Nothing was disappointing. When we return, we will remember the delicious foods and pleasant atmosphere at this place. My #1 spot! 🤤 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
CI recently had the pleasure of enjoying dim sum at this Chinese restaurant, and it was an unforgettable culinary experience. The restaurant is decorated with traditional Chinese elements, creating a comfortable and elegant dining atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of dim sum, each exquisitely prepared and authentically delicious, leaving a lasting impression. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing professional introductions to every item on the menu. I particularly recommend their shrimp dumplings and siu mai, each bite is a superb treat for the taste buds. This restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best Chinese dining experiences I've had, and I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates Chinese cuisine."
OMG!!! Yes, they are a little slow because, there is only one cook. Well, worth the wait. The food has a great flavor to it. Really didn't matter what I ate. Worth the trip if you are in Orlando.

Ambience is not the best but the food is really good! The Beef Stew & Tendon Noodle Soup is very good and serving size is of good proportion. I like more vegetables in my soup, so I ordered the Sautéed Spinach with Garlic, and that was exceptional! For dimsum, the Steamed Roast Pork Bun was just okay, but the Beef Tripe with Ginger Scallions was very tasty!
If you like authentic food this is a great place to go however you will have to wait so be patient definitely not a place to be in a hurry at. The food was good and made fresh. We had soup dumplings and crab Rangoons along with the pork buns it was very good we do wish we would have ordered the roasted duck as well after seeing several others with it on their table. Over all our favorite thing was the pork buns but the soup dumplings were just as good. Also be prepared to use chopsticks.
The food was fresh authentic Cantonese Dim Sum like I had in NYC. The Pork empanadas tasted freshly baked and good As well as the rest. I am surprised they can make such fresh food in this Pandemic. I would highly recommend if you are looking for Authentic Cantonese food. I will come back and tell friends.
Food was very good with a nice ambiance however service could have been a bit better. Update food is still very good. It's consistently good and the menu is not your average Chinese restaurants menu. Definitely worth checking out Most extensive Chinese menu in the area Update still an excellent dining experience I love their consistency Update ***Very disappointing experience. Placed an order picked it up and when I got home it was somebody else's order. I called them and they said that I should bring it back to the store. I arrived in 10 minutes. They told me the kitchen was closed and I was stuck with the food I didn't order. Horrible customer service especially to a frequent customer.
We came back to Orlando late for dinner and went this place because of our craving for noodles. We weren’t disappointed with our decision. I have to say it is probably the best Cantonese noodle place in Orlando. We ordered wonton yellow noodles, braised beef with flat noodles and fried rice with chicken and salty fish. For vegetables we ordered fresh green with garlic sauce. Needless to say we finished everything. Very authentic noodles dishes for someone growing up eating them in NYC Chinatown. My next mission is going back to try their dim sum items. Our server was friendly and helpful. Definitely on my Orlando go to list.
Dim sum available all day! We came for a late dinner and had dim sum. The sticky rice in bamboo was excellent and authentic. I liked that it was made mostly with Chinese sausage (lap cheung) instead of with chicken which is what most restaurants do. The young chow fried rice was good too. Service could have been friendlier. Bathrooms were not amazing but not terrible either. Basically as expected for a Chinese place in Orlando. Food is worth coming back for though!
Just had lunch there: sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Decent price, the rice was OK, but the chicken was actually really good. It'll be a place we put in our office lunch rotation, for sure. Very nice people working there. Place was a little warm - not sure if the AC was working or not.
My husband worked on the border of Chinatown in San Francisco with a Chinese friend who treated him to the best dim sum. This review is based on his input. This is a good, quiet date spot. Our server smiled once and was efficient. The bao was filled with a sweet pasty pork mixture, but it wasn’t char siu. Good steamed shrimp dumplings filled with a sesame oil flavored paste around a piece of shrimp. Good egg drop soup with a drop of sesame oil in it. Good fried rice. Good enough sweet and sour chicken with a few onions and bell peppers, no pineapple. My husband did not like their egg custard, saying theirs was too egg-y and didn’t have enough flavoring.
Good place for Cantonese dishes and dim sum! We came here for my birthday to eat dim sum and they didn't disappoint. We are regulars, and they have a great set of dishes you can choose from. Their lunch menu is great with young chow fried rice, spicy tendons, and crispy squid/pork, and their dim sum is decent. The only thing is i wish they made their rice dim sum coatings thinner. We spent about $94 for 2 people which is pretty expensive. I think they can be a bit cheaper too. Overall, it was a good experience. I wouldn't come here on a daily basis though, only on special occasions.
I've eaten here twice and the first time it was delicious! We couldn't stop raving about it. We ordered the lunch special roasted duck, the orange chicken, and the pork lo mein. Everything was fresh she very well seasoned. The second time we came here, however, the food was more lackluster. It was not as seasoned and a bit on the cool side. Basically didn't taste like the first time. I'll give this place another shot but hope they can find some consistency with their meal prep. The service was also pleasant.
Dim sum seems pretty authentic, and fairly tasty. They do seem to be missing some dim sum dishes in their menu that we like to order when we go to other dim sum restaurants. I wish they had more. Golden Lotus came a long way. The staff under the old ownership were pretty rude and racist even. But after the new ownership took over, the store became a lot cleaner and neater, and the food quality also got better as well. There is still room for improvement though. Fun fact: The Chinese name of the restaurant actually changed and added the word "新" (new) in front of the old name. So the name of the restaurant should literally be "New Golden Lotus".
First time at this place for dim sum and I actually like the foods here. Deep fried shrimp balls is my fav dish, hot and crunchy and very tasty. Service was okay, despite the fact that they barely smile with customers. The lady at the front desk doesn't seem to be good at greeting people coming in , which made me feel a little weird but overall it is good place for quick bites.

The Dim sum is okay but the spicy squid was something else. The portion is less than I would image for the price. The service is fast and food on time but the place is really dark from the outside. I wasn’t sure if it was open.

Ok food no big deal. Lady tells me no lunch specials because of holiday, what hokiday it is the 26th already! Menu has so much Chinese writing and options you can barely focus and or understand anything!

This is the worst restaurant I have ever tried in the whole nationwide. First of all, it tastes so bad. The food quality doesn't look good. Second, the service was super terrible. And not honest at all! We drove 30 mi for the porridge for my kids who didn't feel very well. They Didn't fully give us our orders. We didn't open the bag on the scene because they wrapped it well. But we doubles checked with them about the quantity of dishes. They said” all in here”so we left. but actually, there only 4 out of the 7 we ordered. We called Them to Ask the Solution. However, They refused To admit It. And Hang up my phone rudely. That was so frustrating. I don't think that they are going to consider the quality of their product due to their lack the morality and ethics.
We ate here on 03/16/2022 and the food quality was sub par. If that wasn’t bad enough we found a maggot in our soup. They are using rotten meat for this dishes. We called them to let them know and they gas lit us and blamed us for the maggot and they couldn’t help us. Ridiculous. Will be disputing with our bank and contacting the health department. Disgusting food and disgusting attitudes. If zero stars was an option this would have it.
Very disappointed. Open your bag to check your order before leaving the restaurant.
If you wanna bad food, go to this restaurant Taste terrible Food is not fresh I would give 0 for everything
I left my contact information at the front desk. Call me to schedule a RESPECTFUL meeting with the individuals in charge of the business immediately!!!!!!
I feel very unhappy about the experience in this restaurant, there has never been a restaurant so bad, today at 18:40, I ordered the takeout by phone, half an hour after arriving at the restaurant, the staff took the money and disappeared, even the two people behind me have been waiting for the waiter to take the table for more than 10 minutes. In the end, I waited for my takeout for half an hour and it still wasn't ready. If I hadn't offered to refund the money and not eat, I guess no one would have cared about my food. As a result, the meal chili oil spilled all over the floor, which made my car very dirty, so that I had to go out to wash the car, and this large intestine is the finished dish, and I do not know why it is so slow to cook. If you are really busy and can not receive the takeout order, you can inform in advance, but there are only four tables of guests in the restaurant that day, and the basic dishes are almost served at each table, and there are two tables of guests were packing the rest of their food, but the staff made excuse said they are so best today!? I think It's just an excuse for their poor service. Never go again
