Highly recommended! I had the cubano and fries. The fries were run of the mill, nothing special. The sammich, though... It was awesome! Only drawback is that I thought the bread was just a little too soft, but otherwise it was amaze-balls. There's a ton more on the menu I want to try! I went during lunchtime on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy at all - order at the counter and dine in our get it to go.
Small cozy place with good fresh food and friendly service. The croquetas and the croqueta preparada sandwich along with the Cuban sandwich is very good the cafe con leche was excellent very foamy and without an excess of sugar. Everything was spot on with the spices and no excess salt. I have to return to try the triplets and Venezuelan empanadas. Their desert list is more extensive than the usual Cuban cafeteria and their pastries look very fresh and appetizing.
Had breakfast: Cuban espresso (delicious, just the right amount of sugar, amazing crema), pastries (guava, merengue, Napoleon, pandebono), mamey shake. All excellent! Super friendly service, nice calm atmosphere and music: only reason for 4 stars is styrofoam, paper, and plastic cups/dishes. They also had a great looking lunch buffet counter at very reasonable prices, so we’ll be back to try that!
My mother, my husband and I visited this cafe for the first time in July 2023 and it was an excellent experience. The food was delicious. Best paella we have had in a long time and sangria. The service was very good. The pastries are also delicious. Go with a good appetite. Everything looks delicious. Everything we had was delicious. Highly recommended. Great parking too. I finally remembered to post my review. This place deserves an excellent review. Can’t to go back to Orlando and dine here again.
Enjoyed my visit at Havana Bistro Cafe & Bar recently. Food was awesome—coffee latte, beef empanada, and cheese quesito hit the spot. The sancocho was out of this world! Service was great, staff was super friendly, and the place was really nice and neat. Havana Bistro's got it all, from breakfast to dinner and a bar. Totally recommend it for good eats in a chill setting.
This place totally blew my mind. First, the customer service is outstanding. A young lady by the name of Kristhal assisted me (request her). She answered all of my questions from entrees, to pastries/cakes, and various coffee beverages. The food is delicious on top of this. I ordered the picadillo with yellow rice, black beans, veggies, plantains and two empanadas (chicken & beef). I will be back for sure, and will definitely order both the almond cake & nutella cake. Whether you are local or a visitor, be sure to check out this small business. The food is made with love for sure.
Last Sunday, I visited Havana with my parents who has difficult walking. The staff did not hesitate to help us get him situated at the table. We ordered some delicious choices and nothing disappointed us. Judi’s to the kitchen and its staff. We will definitely be back as the ambiance allowed us to enjoy each other as family over amazing Latin treats.
Come here pretty frequently after curiosity bit me, don't order anything except a smoothie, but José makes the best mango smoothie. Makes it worth the trip by itself.
Daniela was the best, excellent service, she was very wonderful. I would definitely come back for her for serve me. Well done
They have the best quesitos by far! My go to is a cortadito and quesito for a quick breakfast. Their desserts are authentic and fresh! Jose was very kind and provided quick service.
I live in New Orleans, I know good food. Trust me. THIS is good food. Don’t expect the place to be perfect, this is a hole in the wall type place with a bang for your buck. Whoever is in the kitchen they know what they’re doing. I travel to Orlando approx 2x a year for work and I will be going out of my way to stop here in the future. Get the maduros.
Daniella is always amazing and she makes phenomenal drinks! I absolutely love their pollo fricasse. Highly recommend!!
recently had the pleasure of dining at Havana Bistro Cafe & Bar, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delightful. We enjoyed a delicious coffee latte, a savory beef empanada, and a delightful cheese quesito. The flavors were outstanding, and it's evident that the chefs take pride in creating mouthwatering dishes. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and provided top-notch service throughout our visit. Their warm hospitality added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. I was pleased to find that the place was clean and well-maintained. It's always a plus to dine in a clean and inviting environment. One of the standout features of Havana Bistro Cafe & Bar is the variety they offer. With options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a bar area, it's a versatile dining destination suitable for any occasion. Overall, I highly recommend Havana Bistro Cafe & Bar to anyone looking for a great meal with excellent service in a clean and inviting setting. It's a culinary gem that I look forward to visiting again in the future.
Very tasty cuban food. The service was friendly and helped guide us through the menu. It was a little different from most cuban spots we eat at, but it was filling and delicious. The place does a large lunch buffet, so it was just menu ordering. The cafe order took a minute but was fantastic.
It was a wonderful experience! The place was cozy, small, and had a peaceful ambiance. The customer service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I tried their breakfast sandwich, and it was incredibly tasty. I also sampled their empanadas, and they were equally delightful.
Awesome service, and the food was delicious. It took a bit to prepare, but the wait was worth it. They prepare everything to order, and each bite reminds you of that.
First stop after getting off the plane, and wow! Service was great, the two lady’s working were very friendly. Coffee was top notch, and the food, just amazing. Had a traditional Cubano and it was fantastic. My son had the breakfast sandwich(ham, egg, cheese, and bacon), it was huge and he killed it. In his words, “best sandwich I’ve ever had, a 10 out of 10, no, a 40 out of 10.”
Loved the food. I try not to go to places twice on vacation, but this place was too good to pass up. The Cubano was great and the bread was fantastic, but I highly recommend the vaca grits with the Moro rice. The house sangria is also very good. Great little spot
Excellent food and service here. We had dinner, we tried the empanadas appetizer, Ropa Veija, Cuban sandwich and chicken fajitas. Rice and beans were absolutely delicious...we had red beans and black beans, both top notch. And the bakery! So many selections - I wish we had more room to try them all. We will definitely be back.

Robens was super helpful and attentive. Food was 10/10. If you’re seeking great authentic Latino food. I highly recommend this place!
Excellent food & service. Robbins made the best margarita I’ve ever had & was wonderful :) would definitely return just for his service!
The food was amazing, with authentic Cuban flavor and everything perfectly prepared. The coffee was amazing . Customer service was excellent everyone was very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great experience. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place. Five well-deserved stars. ☕️🇨🇺
Place was nice and clean. We were welcomed and greeted with a smile. My wife had the lunch special and I had the Signature Havana sandwich. Both were flavorful and you will not leave hungry. Wanted to try the many desserts available but was too full. Will try next time around.

A Cuban restaurant with a service staff that goes out of its way to please their customers. This was not easy as I was in a group of 15 people and our server, Ernesto, was amazing! And the food was great. My wife had the Churasco, a grilled steak served with rice and beans. It was perfectly cooked to a medium rare and was delicious. I ordered Mofongo de camarones (with shrimp). The shrimp was sauteed in a wonderful creamy garlic sauce and the Mofongo was crushed with the perfect amount of garlic and chicharrones and was very moist as well. All in all, the food was great. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal and I know that I will be back. This restaurant is right across from the Florida mall. Give them a try. I recommend them. And ask for Ernesto...he will take great care of you!
Great flavors and food with helpful and friendly service. Stopped in for lunch and the food was delicious and flavorful especially the roast pork. Portions were large and very filling with very reasonable prices. This is an excellent option for a flavorful and fast meal over any of the chain restaurants.
It had been awhile since this midwestern gringa had enjoyed authentic Cuban food. I grew up with Cubans in NJ and Miami, and I lived with an excellent Cuban cook. So I had some difficulty ordering. Place isn't fancy, but I put that in the plus column. I've had great food in " hole in the wall" joints: More focus on food and less on decor. For starters, the plantanos were excellent. Perfectly fried and not too greasy. We ordered the empanadas for the table, chicken and beef. Again, excellent. I'm a big sangria fan, so we got a pitcher for the table. It was tart not sweet. Seems like no two sangrias are the same. I wouldn't order it again, but you might like it more tart. Fruit seemed like it was from a can. Oh, well. Main entrées: I tried the arroz con pollo. Very tasty and nicely plated. I order the picadillo, a childhood favorite. I gotta be honest: This gringa makes it better. I learned the recipe from my friend the cook. She put capers and green olives in hers. This was just ground beef over rice. I didn't even detect onions in it. The bistec others ordered seemed dry. But the pork dish was a hit with one at our table. So...my review? Kinda mixed. Plantains, empanadas, and arroz con pollo excellent. We shared flan for dessert. Fabulous. Service was friendly and efficient. I'd give it another shot at lunch and try their sandwiches.
Been before 10 years ago it was better service.
They remodeled and looks pretty good! Food also delicious, I only suggest to add tostones com guacamole make the side portions bigger, and add V for vegans in the menu.
Very solid spot. I had Shredded Beef w/black beans, and Cuban rice. Chicken Empanada, and Guava/cheese pastry. Note: $25 all in a/tip. This was enough food for 2 people to be honest. Or 2 meals at $12.50

First time here. We were looking for paella and after reading a review, seeing photos we try it, never again. It was supposed to be marinera and the only thing that had was shrimp and mussels,( that didn't taste that they were cooked with the rice were only for decoration) the taste was ok nothing wow or yummy. We had try paella in in about 5 differents places in Fl ,the majority Cubans, had a lot more seafood variety, bigger and better taste. I recommend to the cook to watch YouTube paella recipes. For dessert we try the flan and churros; flan was missing a nice caramel churros were fresh, big but over cooked and hard they come with ice cream but gave us a fork to eat. The reason for the 3 stars; good service, clean restaurant and nice food presentation. Music on the loud side. Neither the paella photo or the flan from other reviews were like ours probably was a different cook. With so many restaurants in Central Florida will not try this again.
Service was good. Food totally sucked. I really hate to say this but the nachos had 10 different temperatures. It just went downhill from there. If you're going to visit here order soup cuz it's delicious and hope they're playing Whitney Houston and you're in the mood. I mean who screws up soup really?.
I could tell the rice was not fresh. I ordered Ropa vieja with white rice and tostones. The ropa vieja did not taste bad, however it was chewy! It also wasn't the traditional meat used for ropa vieja, it was the same meat that was used in my wifes dish ( Vaca frita)...only exception is that the ropa vieja gets the sauce. (Sauce tasted good) The tostones were absolutely atrocious! How is something brown and seemingly burned not crunchy? Perhaps it's refried and not fresh! $17.00 dollars for a plate of tough chewy meat and old rice? You guys can do better! My wife's plate, Vaca frita with white rice and maduros( sweet plantain) well, also disappointing! Barely sautéed onions on top of bland stringy meat, with the same day old tasting rice. Had i payed 10 bucks with my drink included...I would have walked out happy, I felt like I ordered food from their buffet section, not off the menu. One would assume they'd very different! Service was good! Server was on top of things. I don't think I'll come back, they took too many shortcuts for me to trust the quality and the respect they have for the food they serve! If you run a food establishment that serves Latin American food, and you offer tostones as an option.... And then proceed to serve burnt yet soggy tostones! Close your doors, that's the least you should be getting right!
I think the major reason for this restaurant rating being this low was less to do with the quality of the food than it was our expectations. We are unfamiliar with Cuban food, but tried it when my daughter-in-law asked for a Cuban sandwich. Those are available in many places, but we settled here for a new experience. I enjoyed the interior and after figuring out that we wanted to sit and order our food, instead of to-go, we did so. Our waitress was very nice and enjoyable, especially to a group of uninformed diners. She told me about Ironbeer, which I had never heard of, and almost tried to talk me out of it, but I got it anyway. It was actually pretty good. So much so that I look for it elsewhere, now. The food order consisted of Bistec de Palomilla, Fajitas, and two Cuban sandwiches. The food was good, but not amazing. The fajitas were not served in a manner we are used to for Mexican food, without tortillas. The Bistec was thinly sliced, so it was cooked to what I would call medium-well done. As a result, although the flavor was good, it was a bit on the chewy side. I didn't sample the Cuban sandwiches, but was told that there had been better sandwiches elsewhere. It is unfortunate that I wasn't more blown away by this restaurant. I enjoyed the banter with our waitress and the setting. It may be worth another shot - especially once you've seen their pastry selection. Those did look absolutely amazing, but at the time, we were already full from the meal. Perhaps another time.

I’ve been here a few times before and usually enjoy it, which Is why this was disappointing. A party of two was charged in 18% large party gratuity that wasn’t explained in the payment screen was rushed before I could review it. I went back the same day and again the following day, and also called a few days later, but never received a response from management. I eventually had to dispute the charge with my bank to get it resolved.
Malo restaurante servicio malo comida salada mui caro no recomendo a nadie comida queimada eso es horrível

Food was not good. Most seems to be packaged frozen food that the reheat. Nothing seemed authentic nor made by them fresh. The steak sandwich had minimal shreds of lettuce, the steak was paper thin and came out cold. The rice and ropa vieja tasted old. The only thing that was good was our waiter.
I ordered a pan con Bistec from this restaurant a couple years ago and it was amazing. Was in the area, so I decided to stop by. I Ordered a Pan Con Bistec, and the pictures show what I got. Can you even call that a pan con bistec? I have never seen it made this lazy. This cost me 12 dollars plus a service fee! Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this restaurant again.
I ordered an omelette and a coffee. The omelette tasted supper bad, like it was made with a old rancid oil, the bacon used was hard and tasted like charcoal. The heavy set lady and a younger lady are very nice, but the young Venezuelan guy has to learn how to treat the public. Don t waste your time and your money going in there.
It’s not hard to make a sandwich literally got a Cuban and a steak sandwich. The steak sandwich barely had anything on it. More bread and condiment than anything in the Cuban sandwich. Had one piece of ham you’re eating more bread than anything. Don’t waste your time getting any sandwiches from this spot. On top of all this we waited more than 30Mins to get two sandwiches and a drink, they’re overpriced for the foods and not be even good. Generally pissed me off because it’s not hard to make a sandwich. Also, not to mention, I literally paid seven dollars for a small drink if I’m gonna pay seven dollars for a fresh juice, you should give me a bigger cup than a damn small. Never would recommend it never will go back again, and if I could, I would get all my money back and also I should’ve never compare firehouse to a Spanish spot

Not too sure how this place has good reviews. Maybe I went there on a bad night. Took almost 10 minutes to take my order. Then 25 minutes to get my food which was rice beans and vaca frita. I asked for water. And was given an expensive bottle of water. The rice was a tad bit under cooked. And the vaca frita.... was very salty. Almost unbearable.
