Opinions de Nile Ethiopian Orlando
I enjoyed my visit and all the food I tried. I got the veggie sambusa, veggie appetizer platter (tomato salad and seasoned cold lentils with injera), and the veggie sampler platter for the entree. The service was good. The staff was friendly. I would recommend stopping in.
This is by far the very best Ethiopian I've ever had! We had the chef's special, the in house wine, the Wolfstrap red wine, and the Ethiopian coffee. Everything was fabulous but besides the food, the honey wine and Coffee really stood out. The honey wine is made in house and tastes like a carbonated mead - sweet and delicious. The coffee is strong and flavorful but the presentation is an experience you really shouldn't miss. Our waitress was so friendly and knowledgeable it made me brave enough to try new things and I'm so glad I did. You should go. You're welcome 😋
Brought my family here after seeing it on IG. We were in town for the holiday break and upon arrival were greeted immediately. We waited patiently for our food and have to say it was WORTH the wait. Food was excellent and satisfying. You can tell they took their time and have earned a returning customer in the near future.
I started with the Tomato Fitfit and had the vegetarian sampler for my entree. I had come intending to get the Misir Wat but decided to try the sampler which included the Misir Wat and other items. Everything was delicious. I left full but not stuffed. Next time I am in Orlando this will be on my planned places to eat.
We love to explore international food, and Nile Ethiopian was the perfect place to experience some incredible delicacies! We had the tomato fitfit as our starter, which was incredibly fresh and delicious! It was an excellent prelude to our main course: the meat combination and kitfo. If you like living on the wild side, you’ll enjoy kitfo! It’s semi spicy along with a savory spice mix that complement the raw, minced beef. The meat combination includes a set of well spiced dishes, all incredible in their own right. And, eating with your hands using the injera along with the decor gives you the sense that you’ve been transported overseas. We had great discussion with our waitress, and learned quite a bit about Ethiopian culture, food, and life. We will definitely return!
Such a great and yummy experience! The workers were super friendly and informative of the food culture. The injera was soft and a perfect pair for all of the stews. We had vegetarians and meat eaters in our party, & everyone loved the food. You also gotta commit to eating with your hands and feeding your loved ones. Definitely recommend if you’ve never tried Ethiopian cuisine:)
Went here with my partner for Florida vacations. This place introduced me to Ethiopian food and had me hooked onto the cuisine ever since. The injera bread is nothing like I’ve ever eaten (sourdough is closest thing I can think of in taste). I loved wrapping the savory fillings/dishes on top into the bread on the bottom. And the ceremonial coffee! So interesting. You have to come here on an empty stomach, because the portions are really filling and cheap for the amount you get. It’s so good, my partner and I dogged the food within 30 minutes when we visited for the second time here. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quiet, yet inviting, cozy, with nice music playing in the background. Servers were always nice and amicable.
I had a wonderful experience at Nile Ethiopian! It’s a family-owned business, and you can genuinely feel the warmth and authenticity as soon as you walk in. Buka took care of us, and he was absolutely amazing. I was trying Ethiopian food for the first time, and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and enjoyed everything. The vibe, the hospitality, and the food were all fantastic. Highly recommend visiting this gem!
Definitely try this place, I was so amazed by everything, from the food to the service and the attention to detail, wow
First time ever having Ethiopian food and it was delicious! The server was very friendly and took the time to explain everything to us. We got a sampler type of dish. It was nice to discover things we liked and didn’t like. The atmosphere was really cool too. It had a ton of Ethiopian artifacts and history.
This is the best Ethiopian restaurants I have ever eaten at! The food is amazing and the service is on point! This is a family owned business and you can tell they love what they do. My husband was new to this type of cuisine and the owner took the time to help him out with the menu and draw comparison to different types of foods that he would be familiar with. We tried the chefs special.l and the kitfo special as well. If you’re not entirely sure what to order, then just order the stuff special as it comes with all sorts of different meats and vegetables. For the more adventurous, the kitfo is raw meat similar to a tar tar in France. It was outstanding and I highly recommend it. My mixed drink was perfectly poured as well and the Sambuca to start was a wonderful meat pastry. Please check this place out!!
♡ First time trying Ethiopian Food and was love at first sight and taste ♡ The Chef's special was great ♡ and the Honey Wine was amazing, it's a must to try it! The food was absolutely delicious! The service and atmosphere are fantastic as well. Would definitely eat here again.
The food was authentic and amazing. The service was good. If you didn't realize you'll be eating with your hands, no utensils, but well worth it as it adds to the authentic experience. The platters are definitely meant to share. If you haven't visited, you must try this place!

This place is amazing. The food is always so wonderful and rich in flavor. It is a gem of an eatery on I-drives recycled chain places. If you want something special come here.
We’ve been here several times and the food has always been great. The Chef’s pick has delicious variety of beef, chicken and vegetable dishes. They can also up the spice level if you prefer it that way.

My wife and I stopped in our baby-free night on the town. We settled on Nile because of the great reviews of the gluten free options. We ordered the vegan meal for 2, gluten free injera and the Ethiopian Honey Wine. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT!! This was our first time eating Ethiopian food and it was amazing, we will definitely be back, and we'll even consider bringing the baby next time. The decor was nice, their booths are awesome! The service was helpful, and attentive. If you're looking for an excellent dining experience, trust me Nile will not disappoint. I'll be back soon.
Nile Ethiopian was one of the best Ethiopian restaurants that I’ve been to! The restaurant is cozy and decorated with beautiful art. The atmosphere is relaxed and staff is welcoming. The food was flavorful and the tej was the best I’ve had.
Easily the best Ethiopian food in Florida. Been there twice now and both times were amazing. Very delicious flavors and of course you eat with your hands! The coffee was fantastic too. Can't wait to go back to Nile!

Good Ethiopian food but by no means the best we’ve had—it was authentic, but didn’t seem to have been made “with heart”. We had their special Nile lunch for two. Of the items provided there were only two that we thought were above average, the collards and one of the two chicken preparations. The service and atmosphere were also pleasant enough but lacked “heart and conviction”. Though authentic, this restaurant smacks of being geared to the tourist market rather than set up to serve the best Ethiopian food, service and ambience possible at this price point.
Came here for lunch and ordered the dinner combo for two. More than generous portions, super flavourful, especially the red lentils and split pea, with once exception (one of the beef items which was chewy) the meat was tender and tasty. The service was excellent and atmosphere relaxed. It’s not too far from the convention center and would definitely recommend it.
I always enjoy coming here, especially when I get to share a combination platter with a date—it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed, memorable meal. I’ve visited multiple times, and each experience has been consistently good. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the service is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurant is also very spacious so you can dine here as a couple, family, or as part of a large group. Overall, it’s hard to find anything to complain about.
