It's a bar/restaurant and entertainment stage. So it's obviously loud. Food was amazing and very warm/fresh. Would for sure go again. Karsen and chase were very good waiters aswell. Taco Tuesday 3$/ea. And margaritas are 5 buckeronnis on Tuesday aswell. Highly recommend:>

The Tavern consistently delivers delicious food, great vibes, strong drinks and always a good time. I always get the smash burger but sub for an impossible burger and nowhere does it like they do! Very very vegan and vegetarian friendly, family friendly, and allergen friendly. We always go to trivia on Wednesdays and bass night on Fridays and have a blast.

We stopped in tonight and it was great! The atmosphere was lively, the food was textbook good (perfect late-night eats), and the bartenders were fantastic. Didn't catch their names, but they were super helpful, friendly, and absolutely holding it down even with a packed bar. Great food, great service, great vibe. I moved to Orlando a year ago and cannot wait to leave East Orlando (I'm definitely a West Orlando person). One of the only things I will miss is The Tavern. In fact, this is one of the things that will definitely be worth the drive to come back to. The food is fantastic (Birria Tacos YUM!!!!!!!), the drinks are just right, and the people and vibe are fantastic. When in Waterford Lakes, skip the chain restaurants and bars you see everywhere. This place doesn't have the huge corporate bells and whistles, but stay here for an hour and it starts to feel like home. Frickin awesome!

We went to The Tavern for our volleyball team dinner after a tournament, and it was the perfect spot to wind down and celebrate. The margaritas were delicious, the food was fresh and flavorful, and the service was top-notch. We also loved that we could catch the NCAA basketball tournament on TV while we ate. The kids had a blast with the balloon animal artist and were totally entertained by the claw machines—especially collecting all the fun rubber ducks. Great vibes all around. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Orlando!

Devotion to one place when you can leave whenever you want happens all of the time. But these folks mean to keep it for what we know it is. As best as they can and as best as they will. They do!

Just left the bar with a full belly and that's all thanks to Dylan. He's by far THE BEST server I've had at any restaurant. This guy was on point with everything he was doing for us from recommendations to amazing interactions. He's the reason I'm going to become a regular here and I'll be requesting him every time. Give this man a raise. A real raise. Better yet. Just give this man a promotion.

Food and service were great! Atmosphere was ehhhh… there was a weird smell inside of this building and the music is soooooo obnoxiously loud 😭 we got the birria tacos and they were buss tho! The chicken wrap was also really good!

We wanted a late night spot to grab something to eat. The food was good, except the fries. I had the buffalo chicken wrap which was really good and my boyfriend had birria burrito which was small but good. The concern was that my boyfriend went to restroom and said it was disgusting if would have known prior to eating would have left.

I go on thursdays for either after work happy hours or for trivia night. Trivia night is fun and the trivia host is very nice and helpful. Plus the categories are great. Food is alright. My only issue was with service. While the quality of the waitress is good. Every time I go there is only one server for the entire dinning area, so there is a very long wait for placing orders, to getting food and a drink. I hope they figure out how to balance their service when there is a rush of costumers. Cause if it wasn't for the trivia, I'd give a 1 star for having to wait so long.

The sound of the TVs were all on but they had a DJ who would blast music in between commercials and then would give a play by play periodically throughout the game. I think the food is pretty good and one of the better tasting late night options. However, they tend to always forget stuff with delivery orders. I’ve ordered drinks multiple times and they never give me my drink. I’m assuming they’re busy with the actual bar, but why even offer it? Slightly frustrating because delivery apps hate giving refunds. Probably won’t be ordering here anymore.

They were out of many beers from tap. Placed an order for food only to find out that the kitchen was out of rice. Server was kind and could see how frustrated we were, and let me have the cocktail I ordered for free. I'd give this place another chance, but management/purchasing needs to step up. Friendly service though.

First and last visit. I went to watch opening day of the NFL. They didn't get the games playing on the TV until about 10 minutes after kickoff. Then the picture quality was atrocious and it kept freezing making the game unwatchable. I was told they were experiencing technical difficulties but no one there seemed capable of correcting the issue. The food was mediocre, service was friendly and attentive when someone finally came to our table. Worst for me was the multiple people vaping inside which is, of course, ILLEGAL in Florida. I can see this place would appeal to a certain crowd but look elsewhere if you are looking for a nicer experience.

On the night of 11/30/2025, I was confronted by a man wearing a La Strega long-sleeve shirt who claimed to be one of the new owners. While I was trying to pay my tab, he and another individual began accusing me of reversing charges on my bank account. The confusion came from a charge labeled “La Strega,” which I didn’t recognize, as I hadn’t known Tavern East had been sold. Given my past experiences with fraud, I assumed the charge was suspicious and contacted my bank. When I explained this, one of the new owners became angry, and the taller owner forcefully ordered me to leave. I attempted to pay, but the yelling escalated to the point where the bartender, clearly uncomfortable, told me to just go. Outside, the tall man continued shouting. When I nervously laughed, he kicked me, causing me to fall. Police arrived, but without witnesses or visible evidence, no action was taken. The only potential proof would be the security footage, which may or may not still exist and would require a subpoena. In the chaos, I did not record the incident on my phone. I’ve been a loyal customer of this location since the Castaways days, and even earlier when it was Buffalo Wild Wings. I knew the previous owners and only recently learned the business was sold. I’m writing this so customers are aware that, as of December 2025, the new management created a hostile and unprofessional environment. I was simply trying to pay my tab and leave, but the situation was escalated far beyond reason.
