Quality food and service, excellent burgers!

One of the best burgers in town, I strongly believe that they are just as good as Burger Hut in Chico. The boss Burger is made-to-order and all their food is great I love their fries being served extra hot fresh out of the fryer. I will always recommend them for a good burger!

This place has the best burgers in town in my opinion. Middianne took our order she is always super friendly & sweet. Tom was the cook & our burgers were cooked just the way we asked. Highly recommend this place. Fast FRESH food in a clean & family friendly burger joint. Prices are perfect for the amount of food you get.

The original. You don’t have a burger joint without good fries. Boss Burger has great fries and fresh ingredients on their burgers, cooked to order and served in old fashion baskets. This place is will serve you a great burger and fries. The location is nice and they do keep the place clean. Always enjoy when I get to go for lunch or dinner.

Favorite burger in Butte County. Fries are okay, good shakes. Pity they stopped doing beer batter onion rings, they were good. They will cook rarer burgers on request, and I recommend it strongly. They charge for adds, so it can increase your bill significantly if you're not careful, but it's all very, very good.

After driving to Oroville for what turned out to be nothing, I wasn't going to leave without something. I got a burger. I was not disappointed. I was only going to take a bite and be on my way to eat it at my destination, but that didn't work out. It was too good. Perfectly cooked (I ordered medium), from the patty to the veggies, to the bun... it was harmony on my taste buds. A large order of fries is for sharing. They were good, but couldn't complete with the burger. Next time I'm in Oroville, I'm going there. And based on the amount of people I saw ordering shakes, I'm going to try one of those too. 10/10 recommended.

This ain't no cheap burger joint. The Hawaiian burger is my favorite, but all the burgers are Premium quality. You get what you pay for. First timers hint: Small is not small but it's more than enough.

I love this place! Every time I'm in the area for work I will stop by and get a Boss burger with Ortega chili and pepper jack cheese, yum. Today I got an extra burger to go for my husband and after the cashier heard it would take me 2 hours to get it home. She offered to separate the buns from the burger so it wouldn't get soggy. Great customer service, most delicious burgers I've ever had, visit them. You will not regret it

The Boss Burger is always delicious. Our cheese burgers were cooked perfectly. They were superb. Moist, tasty and yummy. Go there; you'll love it. However, the best time to go is during the off hours as it is a rather small place and is very crowded during meal times.

Been going there since I was 10 I'm 68 now. BossBurger has always been the best burger ever. When they switched to shoe string fried from crinkles they were even better. Boss Burger is an Oroville icon. I recommend to everyone who eats beef. If ya haven't been GO.

Love the workers, their so nice and they even remember most their customers and what they prefer so they can recommend the best options. the food is top notch in my opinion the best burgers in town and not very expensive either. They have old photos all over the establishment that are really cool to look at. Your able to see how they went from just a tiny burger stand to the business they have now. Even though it is small inside and their usually busy we are never left waiting for hours. They usually get it out to us in about 15-25 min during their busiest hours.

If you are going to get by on one meal during a hectic day, look no further than The Boss Burger. Unique history can be viewed on their walls while you wait for your order. The Super Boss with small fries is a perfect combo. (Delicious) Side note: Bring your own water or other drink if you do not want to consume the sugary sodas available..A lack of healthy beverages is compensated by the Super Boss... Go try it and you'll understand.

Good wall art and pictures, some are newer and others are historic. The restaurant is nestled in between a roundabout. Limited parking here but also you can find parking nearby and walk in. The burgers are made from fresh meat and cooked on a grill to your liking, I ordered mine medium well, whereas others ordered theirs medium rare. The shake machine wasn’t working when I visited, so I didn’t get to try the peanut butter flavored shake.

We went to Table Mountain for a hike and we were really looking forward to a great burger and milkshake after. We took a chance with Boss Burger due to the numerous food reviews. We were NOT disappointed. The staff were incredibly nice, genuine, and really helpful. The young lady who helped me was a blast from the past - this is how things used to be - she helped me figure out what to order, gave her input and was just really a breath of fresh air. The burgers were as satisfying as I had hoped with really soft, delicious buns. Fries were good too. The milkshake was good - not fancy - they are made from soft serve, but it was a good price and still tasty. This is not a fancy place - this was like stepping back into my childhood burger joints and getting exactly what I ordered. With excellent and friendly service. We will be back!

If you like burgers and fries that taste like In/Out this place is a must! My favorite is the bacon ranch! They will cook it anyway you like from mooing to burnt. Make sure to ask for secret sauce for the fries. Located right by the Oroville fish hatchery and river. Inside you will find fast friendly service and local photography. Delicious, classic hamburgers are their main fair although chicken, fish and vegetarian options were sighted on the menu. Friendly staff, reasonable pricing and service time. I've heard it has a bit of a following, so can be crazy busy at peak times. Witnessed this as I was leaving; queue to the door to order. Photographed is their namesake burger and small fries. I came craving a solid beef burger, left satisfied. Also tried the guac and bacon burger, which was probably my favourite.

This is the best burger place in Oroville. Have been going since I was a kid and their quality standards have not gone down a bit. The burgers are cooked to your preference and the fries are always delicious just make sure not to get the large fries unless you really want a lot of fries. This place is absolutely delicious and a must-try if you’re in Oroville. I ordered the #8 combo (Big Boss, small fry, and a 20 oz soda), and it was perfect. The burger was a great size, the fries came in a generous portion, and both were packed with flavor. The special sauce and ranch are top tier…seriously some of the best I’ve had. While enjoying my meal, I spotted the Super Big Boss, and wow… that thing is massive! For just a little more, it looks like a challenge I’ll definitely be taking on next time. Boss Burger is one of those unassuming spots that ends up being way better than you expect. Friendly service, hearty portions, and food that hits the spot. Review always for you not me. It is the #1 burger for a quick burger stop. Some say #1 in Oroville. From the ordering counter you can see large burger grill used for a 1/2 or 1/4 burger you order. That’s the menu. A cozy stop that’s clean, and very friendly. This is a return trip to, The Boss!

Love this place! I’ve been coming here since I was a child and I haven’t found a burger joint that can beat this place. I’ve been coming back when they had the arcade playing metal slug with my cousins until our food was ready. Fast forward to now, the quality has stayed consistent for years. I love this place and I’m so glad I have had the pleasure to enjoy this restaurant whenever I visit NorCal! Thank you guys for great service and consistency! Would rate this higher if I could!

I had to try the super boss burger with pepper jack cheese and mushrooms and it definitely hit every expectation from the charbroil taste to the fluffy warm bun. Better service than Bulldog Express. If you're picking between the two. I give it a four over all when its not busy, but when it is, the location, parking, and layout inside can be awkward. The service and food is great with a solid core menu and a variety of options to customize so everyone is satisfied. The portions are generous enough to split a Boss Burger and fry combo. (If the price is keeping you from trying The Boss Burger.) The only down side was the corn dog, ordered off the kids menu, was way too hot to give to a child because it's deep fried.

It's a small burger joint. The parking isn't great, and it feels like a small mom and pops. Actually, I think it is. That being said, they make a very respectable burger in a small town that can stand up to any burger anywhere. Oh yeah, and the teenagers (I've only ever seen teenagers working) who work there aren't too busy on their phones, or gossiping to ring you up, get your order right, be nice to you, or work hard. The burgers can be a bit pricey, but for the cost of seeing teenagers with actual work ethic, energy, and endurance reserved usually only for caffeine buzzed drive-through baristas (I'm talking about you, Dutch. Jk, I love you guys) on top of a pretty tasty burger, I'll gladly pay.

This was only my third time stopping for a burger and fries here, but I have to admit it's pretty good, and cooked to medium well perfection. A nice burger on a good bun with lots of optional toppings like grilled onions cheese and such. Fries are also quite good. Although some people don't like the skinnier fries.

Customer service was EXCELLENT! I had the #1 combo with grilled onions. They were tasty and creative onions, but seemed like a clumped mass and was a bit too much for the bite. The outside of the patty was grey (couldve been darker ...carmelized) a bit more (I ordered it 'medium'), and meat temp was a little cool by the time I'd bitten into it. Next time, Ill order well done and see if that patty is a little darker. The bun was different (brioche?) And fries were properly seasoned... reminded me of fries like McDonalds and In and Out (somewhere in-between). My daughter said Boss Burger fries were waaay better. Overall, a great lunch.

Been going here for years, they support the youth for employment, they make great burgers. The secret sauce it awesome. Fries are delicious and ofcourse they make good burgers. Rush hour timeframe you have to wait for your food but it isn't a big location. Its not their fault. Ive never once been disappointed with my food. The staff has always been respectful. I enjoy what they put on the TV. As well as the posters they have on display.. I will continue to go back to grab a bite for years to come.

Visited September 8 2025..see receipt. First time I have dined here. Many people tell me their burgers and fries are good so I tried a burger( small boss burger..no fries). I got there alittle after 11am (they open at 1030 am). There was only one other person in there since it was pretty early. The burger was nothing special for almost 6 bucks but it was enjoyable. I didn't give them 5 stars because it took over 15 minutes for a small junior boss burger (no cheese..simple) with no one else's order to work on. To be fair I heard the phone ring a couple times and it sounded like it could be for take out orders. They also have a kids menu. The entry to the restaurant can be a bit precarious as it's in a roundabout so be careful! Clean inside. I might come back in the future if I have more time on hands!

Good local place with made to order burgers on whopping quarter, half, and three quarter pound burgers. Taste was good but not amazing for what I would have expected in a $10 burger Also ordered medium well and my burger still had pink in middle. Pineapple shake was excellent.

Last year or year before we came here, thought they were the best burgers, but they must of changed the burger supplier, not as good.

It was okay. The burger was just OK. The fries were limp. But the biggest concern - no one was wearing masks correctly - hanging from their ears, under their chin, or no masks at all. So if you want a side of Rona with your burger head over to Boss Burger.

Tiny spot, for the price the burgers are just okay. It’s sort of insane to charge 13$ for bread meat and cheese and then charge a dollar extra for everything you want on it. 1$ extra for 3 jalapeños slices? Your out of your mind. Good luck getting your food in anything less than an hour at lunch time.

I lived in Oroville years ago. We used to go to the Boss often, loved their food. On a recent trip to the area I thought I'd take my granddaughters to get a great burger. Sadly, it was not a great as it used to be. Very blah, plain, I was quite sad.

I'm saddened to give such a poor quality review but it is deserved. I have eaten here many times through the years. Today is the first time I have to say the food really sucked. Service was OK but confusing. I got the big boss with cheddar. There was no special sauce. Barley any ketchup and mustard. No mayonnaise. I usually do not add mustard but there it is and it left a nasty mustard aftertaste long after eating the burger. First time in my life when the boss disappointed! Will not be back anytime soon. It's was mediocre at best. I'll stick to Carl's Jr! ☹️ twenty bucks too!🤬

Don’t care to know how you lean politically when in a public eatery . Ordered a 1/2 pound burger extra, bacon, extra cheese no pickles no mustard said it twice. Onion rings and vanilla shake. $26 with $2.50 tip.with pickles and mustard. Can NOT RECOMMEND.

This place is probably one of those places, that you had to have grown up eating here. I was suggested this place to take my client here and though she loved the cheese burger; she loves anything covered in ketchup, I on the other hand and my coworker thought otherwise. The family fries is what I got for her and I to share; not only were they cold and soggy, lunch rush one would think they'd be super fresh... that wasn't the worse part of them! They tasted like everything fried is done in the same oil and this oils hadn't been changed for probably the last twenty years! Definitely not a place I will go back to or recommend, my friend was ashamed for recommending it too!!

I was traveling through Oroville and stopped for a burger. It was 100 degrees out and there is no shade in parking lot. I went in and ordered to go and then went back out to get my dog. I brought him just inside the door. He laid down out of the way. The owner told me no dog, I said I understand but it is too hot outside and when i get my food I will leave. after 10 minutes he had one of the counter people give me money back and then three days later charged my card for more than i was given back. I travel all over the country with my Shiba and I have NEVER been treated like this.

This place has slow service. Cold food and feels icky inside. They tried to give is OLD cheese fries and the girl who thought she was in charge was completely incompetent and stated that’s how they serve it. When requesting fresh fries, she began arguing and fighting to not give us basic fries, we didn’t even want the cold slice of cheese they mixed around. Was there an hour for a medium sized order. I added a pic of these cold cheese fries they serve. Don’t go here if you are a POC, they won’t serve you.
