Welcoming, English speaking and friendly staff English menu available, no worries white wine taste good €8 rabbit with sautéed rice: rabbit tasted like chicken, fried rice with turmeric, well seasoned and flavoring Gnocchi - chewy, flavoring, the white creamy sauce is perfect, not too think and not too thin, you will never feel overwhelmed The dishes are really huge, you will definitely get satisfied But for water, it’s normal in Italy that you would need to purchase a bottle of still/sparking, no tap water available normally Overall, nice please to stay, with free appetizer and homemade biscuits as dessert

Our hotel recommended us this restaurant if we were coming up to the Orta lake. We were surprised by the high quality of the dishes. We loved the ragu and the pumpkin tortellini. We will come back again if in the area! Service was very welcoming and they did even give as a free apetitzer which was delicious!

Nice little restaurant in the centre of Orta san Giulio near to the Piazza Mario Motta. It has two floors but the groundfloor is the one that is nicely decorated and breathes a goid atmosphere. The restaurant has a good Italian menu (no pizza’s) and offers an extensive winemenu, though only a few beers. The food is delicious.

A bit of a disappointment. We sat on the 1st floor (not street level), where there is very basic furniture and decorum, like ikea entry level tables style. That was a bit of a shock but we thought: given the reviews, the cuisine must be really good and typical. It wasn't. The cuisine was filling but not refined or with top quality ingredients at all. More a regular weekly dinner than a Sunday family lunch. It was not super expensive so ok, but it does not warrant its current rating of 4.6

We went for lunch on the weekend, food was just ok and very salty, not good value for money. The worse was that we waited for an hour to be served, very slow service. We don't recommend it

Ordered the porcini dish while they were in season, but it was a disappointment. The portion was very small and the preparation was basic. Just pasta with porcini, a drizzle of olive oil, and a hint of garlic. Honestly, if they hadn’t served bread on the side, I would have had to stop at McDonald’s afterwards. If you’re going to serve something so simple and modest in quantity, the price should reflect that, but here it didn’t. Unfortunately, this feels like another example of the “rustic” trend in the area: presentation of minimal dishes at non-minimal prices. Overall gets the trophy for poorest, highest priced dish in my 4 day stay in Piemonte.

Having high expectations because of all the positive reviews, it was a shame to experience something differently. Although the staff trying tried their best, it still disappointed us a little. The food is okay at best. (The pasta was very overcooked though) We were sitting on the first floor wondering if this was an office or a restaurant. If you want a quick bite this place is fine. If you want a culinair experience i would avoid this place
