Great experience. Hot springs, friendly stuff. We waited just 20 min in the queue. Not fancy but very authentic.
Fantastic!! There are public pools and payed ones; after crossing the white bridge, turn to the left for the free ones. It’s an amazing spot to relax! The best parking place is on the other side of the river, coming from Ourense city center, is after the water treatment plant. At the public hot springs, there were 3 pools available, two warm ones with different temperatures and a cold pool. There’s also a locker room available. Swimming suit and flip flops are mandatory, so don’t forget to bring them because they don’t sell anything there. The atmosphere in November was quiet and relaxing. Also the staff Lucas was super friendly! Be aware kids under 10 are not allowed.
Excellent hot springs. Well worth the visit. Fabi went above and beyond when helping us to check in. We'd done everything backwards, but she sorted us so we had enough time to enjoy both the onsens and get massages. Thank you again for your patience and kindness towards us. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting.
Great place to relax. We expected the water to be hotter, but we enjoyed it. Vary respectful enviorment for privacy and silence. The facilities were in great condition. Would help some signs in English as well :)
We had a great time here!! Truly fantastic! We went at the latest time available (23:30 to 01:30) and it was amazing it wasn’t crowded and it was amazing to be able to see the stars whilst soaking in a Japanese // Galician Onsen Very important to know beforehand that there is no parking within the facilites and you do have to hike to the hot springs! This is not properly explained by signs on the motorway so we did have a bit of trouble getting there but once we parked it was fine! I do recommend however to go at night specially in the summer.
A really relaxing, affordable experience. Parking is across the river (just to note for walking), but the system for waiting on a busy day is efficient. The cafe has great food and drink options and once you are within the baths, it doesn’t feel overwhelming despite how the wait time may make it feel. Absolutely worth it. Plus, the views are great.
I'm from Japan, where there are many crazy people for the hot springs. I could be relaxed and enjoyed the hot springs seeing the nature of Galicia. There are no many public transportations, so you should confirm the time schedule of the touristic tren or local bus to access from the downtown area.
Photos not allowed, so can’t share. Lovely hot waters to relax in. The whole site is beautiful, especially due to the location. Some monies could be reinvested though - missing mosaic tiles, etc. Also beware that there is no direct parking. Either a short 1,5km walk or from the other side 3km. Recommend the longer walk as you also pass the free thermal waters directly on the Miño… photos of this place are included in this review
Great place to be on a cool or rainy day. Spa treatments are wonderful, and affordably priced, reserve these in advance by telephone. Be aware of you have mobility issues: parking is across the river: it is a 10-to-15- minute walk across a bridge and rough gravely path. I did not see any possibility of dropping someone off at the door. Also, the sushi and Japanese menu are not as advertised. There is only a Ramen bowl, which was pretty good, but it was not sushi.
Lovely outdoor thermal spa. There are lots of pools inside and outside. There is also a bar for drinks and snacks. Basic changing rooms, showers and lockers. The place could do with a bit of a face-lift as some of the fixtures are looking a bit tired. But we still very much enjoyed the relaxation.
Difficult to find on first visit, reception staff super friendly and helpful. Changing rooms could be bigger ok on our visit but I imagine get very cramped at busy times. Spa pools were lovely with great choice, a few more seats or loungers would be useful but overall a very beautiful place. We decided to grab a sandwich before leaving in the cafe unfortunately whilst the bar staff were lovely, the waitress was exceptionally rude which rather spoilt our experience needless to say we left without eating.
Very pleasant experience. The hot springs are situated just outside the city of Ourense and are well equipped. There's a variety of different pools with different water temperatures, there are toilets, a bar/restaurant and a beautiful japanese inspired garden. Only downside was the lack of nearby parking (we used Google maps to guide us there and it took us a while as the application kept sending us to the wrong spot, we finally parked across the river. We had to walk but it was a beautiful 15 minute walk as the views crossing the bridge are great). Also the venue seems lacking some repairing and care as the floors and some pool stones were cracked or broken. Nonetheless it's worth the visit.
Small people power play, with so many trivial rules. Like kid height is on the line, no good, slippers not to their liking, not allowed. Even at restaurant waiter did not allow to push 2 tables together for shared lunch. Overall experience like in German concentration camp, just warm hot springs instead of gas showers. If you have kids above 10y, just go to few hundreds meters nearby public hot springs place.
