While up in Oxnard to check out a car, we spent hours at the dealership from noon until 4 p.m., and by then, we were starving. As we waited for the car to be cleaned and charged, I quickly searched for food nearby. Turns out there’s a Marketplace at Oxnard and a Costco just 450 meters away from the dealership, so we decided to head there for a meal. Out of all the restaurant reviews, we landed on a 4.5-star spot called New Chicken Bowl Teriyaki. The place has a simple setup—just two rows of tables on either side and a counter for ordering. I asked the owner (maybe?)what he would recommend, and of course, he suggested the Chicken Teriyaki. We ordered two large A1 meals—$8.95 each—and one small for $7.95. I was shocked by the prices—under $10 for a meal! When the food was served, I was even more surprised by the portion sizes. The chicken had crispy skin and juicy meat, with a teriyaki sauce that wasn’t too salty. It came with a side of cabbage, slices of carrot, and broccoli, making it a balanced meal. The owner gave us two bottles of sauce—garlic sauce and spicy sauce—so you could add flavor to your liking. Overall, it was incredibly budget-friendly. I was full after just half my portion and took the rest home. The only slight downside is that everything comes pre-packed in plastic takeout containers, even if you’re dining in. I guess it’s a way to save time and effort, and it makes it easy to pack up any leftovers right away. My husband, who has a big appetite, finished his entire meal and said he was stuffed. If you’re in the area, this place is worth checking out for a quick, affordable bite.
Great place, Perfect noodles, ordered over the phone and It was ready in 5 minutes, beef and chicken noodle plate is very good, hot sauce is fresh and enjoyable, cashier is friendly and very helpful.
Wow !!! First visit here and I’m blown away for the fact that there is still good people in the world . To start the guy behind the counter , his personality is super humble and very nice . Prices are good , quality of food is great and amount of food for the price great !!! I asked how much for extra veggies and the guy gave it to me FREE even tho I asked for him to charge me . Place is clean , menu is simple . This is a must have when ever you are in Ventura !!!

Everything was delicious, some of the chicken was crunchy and soft inside, the rice and veggies were cooked without being mushy, and all of it was juicy 10/10 the gentleman who works the register is very polite. try it
Stopped here on my motorcycle ride down the coast and was blown away. The guy running the place is so friendly and the food is incredible
First time, got the hot garlic chicken bowl. Really good. Chicken had extremely crispy edges but was still juicy. Great flavor. Guy behind the counter was friendly and humble. Can’t beat the price for the portion either. 10/10
Been going here about four times a week for the past two years and I love it. They have great portions for the price and are always welcoming and hospitable. They also remember orders if you are a regular! I would recommend everyone to make this your lunch spot if you are in the area
I've been going to this place since I was attending Rio Mesa! I have since moved to Vancouver, WA and there are teriyaki places EVERYWHERE. None compare, still. Sauce is a perfect texture, veggies are always perfectly steamed, portions are amazing. I was so glad to see that this place survived Covid.

You get a good serving size. The guy taking my order was super nice! Food came out pretty fast. Im really surprised you can get a decent meal for 10$!
Although different from growing up, it’s still incredible!! The owners son is so hard working and consistent every single time I come. It’s nice to see regulars come in and he call them by name! Great place and great food!!
Differently a hidden gem. I didn't expect much when I walked in, thinking it's just another trying to be Asian food. They closed at 6pm so we almost missed it.. But I was sooooo wrong... They basically only have 3 things: steak, shrimp and chicken (well, and veggi). We had the Steak rice And hot garlic chicken noodle. They are both delicious but the steak is definitely much better than the chicken. Good portion for $10.95. lots of steak and they are tender and juicy. Spot on seasoning, sweet but also savory. Definitely will come back.

8$ for a huge well served chicken bowl with rice nodules and veggies. (Love the broccoli, just crunchy enough). Also the staff is awesome. the lady is very nice and polite. I recomend the locals to check it out. Support local family business!!

Great little hole in the wall! Easy options, convenient and affordable prices, and super friendly and helpful staff. I was hoping for a bit more veggies on the bowl, but their hot garlic house sauce is a must try, if you are into sweet and savory things. Flavors will definitely not disappoint!
