Opinions de Wild Seed Palo Alto
I was here with my girlfriends for Friday night dinner! We had an amazing time! Palo alto had cute outdoor seating and the service was great! It really showed they were making efforts towards becoming sustainable. We ordered marinated olives, curried cauliflower and mezze plate for appetizers and they all tasted amazing. The impossible burger was a little too salty for our liking and not the best we've had. Most of their plates had mushroom so I went with the ensalada salad which wasn't so good. Their drinks are worth a mention- even the non-alcoholic ones! Will visit again !
Such a fantastic place! We could not trust the hype about this place but the food was so delicious. It's always crowded and we had to wait even with a reservation (I wish this could be improved). When we got to the host, we were sat immediately and we ordered and had food in 10 minutes. Everything was so good, tasty and surprising. It's expensive compared to average restaurants in the area but not a lot. We are glad more amazing vegan restaurants are opening!
Really enjoyed lunch at Wildseed! It has been on my list for a while and I am delighted to have finally eaten there. Starting with the fact that this is now my favorite vegan restaurant in the Bay Area. I would recommend following a tapas style strategy to try as many things as possible. The cubes of coconut "cheese" was the highlight for me! Their texture was something incredible! Also the seeded pita was so yum! 😋 And so was the neatball "masala" bowl! Highly recommended! 🌟 This vegan restaurant is soy amazing. I can’t wait to come back for more 🌱
Loved the place. Went there with low expectations but turned out to be so good. Never thought I'd enjoy vegan food so much. The staff is super good and the service is fast too. We ordered the passion tea, Mexican corn cakes, Mezze plate and ended with a delicious warm chocolate cake. Will be visiting again soon.
I honestly never thought I could love 100% plant based food, but I did here! Everything was delicious and the cocktails were fun and tasty. Mezza plate highly recommended app. The falafel and baba were yummy but the coconut feta was ridiculously delicious. Where can I find more of this?? Curried cauliflower was so good we ordered a serving one. (We shared family style) Polenta cakes didn’t sound great but believe or not they were! Had one of the salads but I forget which. Dressing was tasty but at the end of the day, it’s just a salad. My favorite was the sausage flatbread. Not meat sausage of course, but still incredible. Yellow curry with brown rice his the spot. Risotto was creamy and buttery. I shudder to think hope much butter was in there! Warm chocolate cake and Crumble for dessert. Perfect enders . For strings I recommend the Bakers Beach and I Got Ube (get it, Sonny and Cher fans?). It’s quite pricey but really enjoyable. June 2024 update: Tried their brunch. Not a huge selection but I enjoyed the spicy sausage omelette. Obviously vegan eggs and sausage. Very tasty and well cooked potatoes. Also had the mezo plate which is hummus, babaganoush, salad, coconut feta, and arugula. All in all pretty good. Mor filling than I thought it’d be. Service was ok, perhaps a little slow to take order and give the check but the food came fast!
Best vegan food 😭🩷 I really didn't know what to expect going here. Thought it would be tons of overrated vegan options but it's amazing. We got so many shareable items, we had to take our main meals to go. It also has the cutest drink selections with non-alcoholic options! Went with people that aren't vegan and they loved it too! The price might seem high... But you will see how much food you land up with. (Don't judge my bad photo) Absolutely returning!
A truly delightful restaurant where the complete menu is plant-based. The service was super friendly and our waiter was very knowledgeable, giving us the full background on every menu item. The selection was good and our dishes were really tasty. This place is warmly recommended for a healthy yet tasty lunch or dinner.
With so many varieties of dishes, you'll want to try them all. Polenta - 5/5 crispy chewy texture with a delicious sauce. Mushroom zipolle - 5/5 not an actual whole mushroom that's fried but more of a breaded mushroom paste, which was more impressive and unique. Brussel sprouts - 5/5 they somehow removed the bitterness of brussel sprouts seemingly by marinating or bowling it, and they were really good. Neatball bowl - 4/5 didn't quite hit the same level as the other dishes, the "meatballs" weren't that similar to real ones and the overall flavor was a little plain. Risotto - 5/5 creamy and filling, nice way to round out the meal. September edit: Found out some dishes are seasonal, ordered the mushroom zeppole again, still delicious. Mexican corn cakes 5/5 - part of the summer menu, amazing texture and flavor Yellow curry 4/5 - it was ok, a bit spicy, I felt like some of the vegetables included didn't fit the curry quite well (eggplant, potato) Hummus 3/5 - hummus itself was good but a bit lacking in quantity, and the iced vegetables weren't that great of a dip compared to something more bready. Peach cobbler 4/5 - solid dessert, great crumble and ice cream Chocolate cake 3/5 - but that's just because I'm not a fan of dark chocolate, others in the party liked it
Everything is so well done here. It's a great place for vegans and non vegans alike. The tzatziki was phenomenal. It's almost indistinguishable from it's yogurt contemporary. I love having dishes that celebrate the vegetables and grains without using "fake meat" as a way to bridge the gap. The neatballs use brown rice, walnuts and lentils to give you the perfect bite with the coconut masala. The desserts are also exceptional. However do keep in mind that the cashew cheesecake is a little dense and heavier than a normal cheesecake due to the nature of cashews. This place is always bustling and the tables are a little small but the flavor is worth it. It's best to get a reservation so you don't have to wait for a table.
A complete vegan restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious. We tried curried cauliflower appetizer and potato flatbread. Both excellent! We also tried their warm chocolate cake - it was so yummy. We will definitely visit again and try their other dishes. The ambiance of the cafe is an added bonus!
What a wonderful Plantbased dining experience it was here at Wildseed Palo Alto! The customer service and the wait staff were amazing . The food and drinks were flawlessly delicious. My favorite was curried cauliflower and squash flatbread , autumn salad had ingredients that married well in the salad . Beet chocolate cake was very indulgent! Will definitely dine here again .
Highly recommend! Local and delicious with a wide variety of tasty dishes. Everything we ordered was fantastic, from the potato chips with fresh onion dip, to the smokey hummus, roasted cauliflower, and flatbread topped with tender arugula, cashews and mushrooms. And the summertime drinks complimented all of the dishes well.
Food, staff, vibe everything so so good! Cutest plants and indoor area! First of all every member on the team is just generally so nice from the hostess to the waitress to the servers. The food is better when its being served with smiles! The mushroom zeppole, sour cream and onion dip/chips, and the green forest flatbread were all so tasty! The warm chocolate cake… TO DIE FOR!!! Cant wait to try the others but this dessert was top notch and came with a lava filling inside. Definitely an A in my books!
This restaurant is perfect for anyone who loves vegan and vegetarian food. The atmosphere at Wildseed is cozy and welcoming. The interior is stylish with lots of plants, making it feel fresh and vibrant. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The menu is impressive, with a variety of vegan and vegetarian options that are both healthy and delicious. I tried the Polenta cakes and the plant-based burger, both of which were fantastic. The flavors were rich, and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff at Wildseed are friendly and attentive. They were happy to answer questions about the menu and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was quick, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food.
This restaurant is spectacular. One of my vegan friends recommended Wildseed, and it did not disappoint. Not being a vegan myself, I'm always a bit skeptical. However, the food on the menu, definitely satisfies the pallet. Not to mention, the vegan meat options taste like real meat. The staff is extremely friendly, especially Pillar. I would certainly come back, and recommend it to friends in the future.
Really great upscale vegan restaurant with amazing seasonal food. The menu was well put together with seasonal ingredients and plenty of options. The food was full of flavor and felt very fresh and on the healthy side. Our server was wonderful and the atmosphere was also super enjoyable. There was indoor and outdoor seating. I would recommend a reservation if planning to go on a weekend around dinner time. Definitely one of the nicest vegan restaurants I’ve been to! Totally worth going.
Pro Tips: - Make your reservations several days in advance. Don’t expect to be able to walk in - Go for the complete experience; drink, app, main, and dessert. embrace the whole experience - Great spot for weekend brunch gatherings Great place for vegans and vegetarians! There is a wide variety of options for every palate and most dietary restrictions. You can come here confident that there can be something for you to enjoy. The menu is designed to keep in mind seasonal harvests and keeps things fresh and new every time. Definitely check it out at different times of the year to explore familiar flavors with a new and fun twist!
I LOVE this place. I come to Palo Alto once a year on a work trip and always try to hit wildseed once or twice. Only recently did I become dairy & gluten free and this place is even more of a godsend now! I always get the salad. Had the tofu skewer for the first time and that was super great. Desserts are usually good too.
I've been here several times, both with vegan and non-vegan friends. Food is super flavorful and unique - don't skip the ensalata andalusia or the flatbread pizza! Lovely service every time and great cocktails. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in the area, we always recommend it to others.
You have to sit at the bar and have Alejandro take care of you during happy hour! He’s the best and makes delish a-free cocktails including the Jalapeño infused marg. Wildseed has the best French fries of anywhere I’ve been. Delicious food even if you’re not vegan. And definitely save room for the gluten free warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. It’s bomb! See you next time Alejandro💕
Outstanding Service and Freshness! My experience at Wildseed was absolutely wonderful! Miss Olivia provided superb customer service from start to finish — attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure everything was perfect. The freshness of the food stood out right away — every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The service was impressively quick, yet nothing felt rushed. You can tell the team takes great pride in both detail and preparation. The ambience was inviting, relaxing, and elevated the entire dining experience. If you’re looking for fresh, delicious food served with warmth and professionalism, I highly recommend Wildseed — and definitely ask for Olivia!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fresh, Flavorful, and Fantastic Service! I had such a great experience dining at Wildseed! Our server, Miss Olivia, was amazing — attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish. She made sure everything came out perfectly and created such a pleasant dining experience. I ordered the Caesar kale salad and the chicken sandwich, and both were outstanding! The salad was crisp, fresh, and full of flavor, and the sandwich was perfectly prepared — juicy, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the care and quality in each dish. The service was quick, the presentation was thoughtful, and the ambience was relaxing yet vibrant. It’s clear the team at Wildseed takes pride in their work. A huge thank you to Miss Olivia and the Wildseed staff for making my visit so enjoyable — I’ll definitely be back!
Beautiful restaurant with a 100% vegan menu and full bar menu. Great concept, well executed and great taste! Tried the kale Caesar salad, which was really good. The fries along with the creamy (vegan) sauces were a great combo. The pizza which my lactose intolerant father could enjoy was yummy too! We will be back :)
We ordered beet poke appetizer and masala bowl entree. Excellent flavors with prompt friendly service! They have a full selection of both cocktails and mocktails. Enjoyed the vegan chocolate cake dessert 😋
I am super picky and judgemental about my food, but enter new spaces with curiosity and adventure. I am an omnivore and always hesitant on plant based only locations. Call me traumatized by the bad ones. Started off with the Green juice. I knew that could be challenging for me, because I hate cucumber and kale, but rolled with it. It was drinkable. Next, our table tried the Fall pizza, which had shaved Brussels sprouts, pear, tempeh bacon, cashew gooduh, and coconut parm. It was edible and tasty, but I am personally not a fan of tempeh. That detail did not take away from my experience. That was followed by the wild mushroom zeppole. That was fire, and I could have eaten two plates of those for my entree and called it a meal, but we were sampling. For my entree I had oricchette pasta with broccoli, garlic, vegan Italian sausage, chili flakes with coconut parmasean. That was also very good. We also tried the vegan cheesecake, which was good if you don't judge it like a dairy new york style cheesecake. I liked it on its own merits, nonetheless. We also table sampled a beet based chocolate cake. That one was amazing and would highly recommend. Even though I am not a vegan, I would return without hesitation if I was in the neighborhood. Thank you!
Wildseed has become one of our favorite restaurants. Wildseed is all Vegan and it's not your neighborhood vegan namesake. Most of the dishes are actually delectable and sumptuous (read Yum!). We have had and I would highly recommend their - Mezze Plate, Mexican Corn Fritters, Mediterranean Veggie Burger and the various salads. Oh! And their menu is seasonal and the ingredients are fresh, which is felt right from the first bite till the last. They have a good cocktail and dessert menu as well.
Great vegan find, and atmosphere! Initially didn't know this was a vegan restaurant, but was impressed by the meals they were able to make. Was a bit surprised by the cost- $50 for the fall pizza and a zero proof drink once you factor in taxes, extra CA charges, and tip. Lastly, better to make reservations if going during lunch as only available seating for an hour was the bar or outside tables by heaters.
Fresh. Flavorful. Plant-powered. 🌱💚 Amazing #vegan cuisine! Make sure to wear your stretchy pants.
First time trying vegetarian food and I was pleasantly surprised. Everything tasted light, healthy, yet still full of flavor. Love the French toast and banana fritters.
Phenomenal experience. The food is excellent and delicious! The staff is so amazing, they go above and beyond, so nice! We tried the happy hour menu today! Highly recommend the "meat" balls are one of the best things that I have ever tasted. Sooo good! They have them in the spaghetti 🍝 on the main menu, easily my favorite dish. Their charcoal lemonade is also one of my all time favorite drinks!
Wildseed is a pretty nice, fairly upscale vegan/vegetarian spot. I didn't realize it was vegetarian until I arrived, but still thoroughly enjoyed my meal, regardless. It's probably not a place I will revisit frequently, but I was quite impressed. The staff were very nice and friendly, the restaurant itself is quite nice, and the food was delicious, even if it isn't my normal thing. I was especially surprised by the chilled vegetables and humus. Somehow they made the vegetables delightfully salty. I quite enjoyed it. If you are looking for a solid spot, with vegetarian options, Wildseed is a great choice.
One of the BEST vegan restaurants I’ve been to so far—and we’ve tried many.. The Mezze platter was honestly so mouth watering good (the winner was the vegan cheese!!!) The hamburger was nostalgic and the cheesecake was way different than I was expecting!! I want to try the vegan chocolate chip cookie next time :) The outdoor seating was also a plus! A little chilly in the shade in May, but can you imagine how nice it’ll be in the summer? 😍
This vegetarian restaurant is truly excellent and highly recommended. The place is beautiful, the service is efficient, and the food is consistently tasty with perfectly sized portions. The only drawback is the atmosphere: it is excessively noisy inside, making conversation difficult. A fantastic dining experience, but be prepared for the high noise level!
My favourite vegan restaurant in all of Bay areas. Not only are the dishes delicious, they are also all healthier, made from unprocessed ingredients. Both the brunch and lunch menu are exquisite. And don't skip the skillet chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream! Visited again today. My favorite lunch and brunch place in the bay area!
Surprisingly delicious food and great drinks for a fully plant-based bar. Exceeded expectations — definitely worth a second visit.
Charming vegan restaurant with delicious food and excellent service! Food: They have limited menu for hours of the day, but they sure are tasty. We had the Fries with different sauces which were absolutely delicious, every sauce is a different experience. We shared the jackfruit pizza which melts off the crust. The basil gave it extra kick. Both dishes are good to share between 2 people. Service: Our servers were friendly, very knowledgeable about menu, and made great recommendations. Ambiance: Available outside seating is recommended. Nice, fenced and cool under the tree. Inside seating also available. Value: Bit pricy but were reasonable for the quality of food and service.
Wildseed is a great spot if you're looking for plant based food that is full of flavor! The Mexican corn cakes were the highlight of my meal, crispy and with a delicious sauce. We followed that with the squash flatbread, which was quite filling and had interesting flavors (although I found myself taking off some of the arugula to taste the other toppings better). The interior of the restaurant is cute and decorated with plants. We went at the same time as a large (75+ person) team event, and despite the servers being incredibly busy, we were met with very friendly service! I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu items.

Serving sizes were ample with breezy and relaxing atmosphere. Arguably the go to resto for Cali vegan cuisine in Palo Alto. Cuisine is a mix of various represented cultures and ingredients. Sharing plates available as well as combo samplers. Desserts were also unique and seasonality based. A healthy alternative along the Town and Country fare. The layout is conducive to small groups and dates.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Wildseed. We ordered the Mezze Plate, Neat Ball Masala, Mexican Corn Cake and Warm Chocolate Cake, along with a Manhattan for a drink. The Mezze Plate was delicious, fresh and warm flat bread served with falafel, coconut cheese, babaganoush and hummus. Good quantity and everything tasted amazing, would recommend. The Neat Ball Masala was our favorite dish of the night. Creamy sauce, tasty walnut vegan balls, wild rice, kale and carrots, sesame tzatziki all come together for a grand crescendo on your taste buds, would recommend. The Mexican Corn Cake, was the only dish that was disappointing. Overall the flavors were bland and even texture wise was odd. Would not recommend. The warm chocolate cake was a great finisher, the gooey chocolate in the middle was perfect for a great ending. Our server was warm and welcoming, our reservation was honored without a wait time. An absolute must visit for vegans and vegetarians.
Very good vegan menu. The corn ravioli is the signature dish, apparently. It was excellent. Also had artichoke starter, which was good. The chocolate cake was good, too, but the faux ice cream on top was even better. Prices on the high end, but not unexpected. Nice outdoor seating, which actually looked more inviting than the indoor seating. Parking was a little challenging on a Friday evening. Overall, a high four stars.
Great atmosphere and as a vegan I appreciate having an all vegan restaurant! The food is made with high quality ingredients and is overall good but personally I like it but don't love the dishes offered there. I still enjoy going there for the atmosphere and reliable vegan options.
Innovativeness in menu surprised me since everything on the menu is vegan. Loved the spread, for the longest time we didnt realize the cheese and omlette were vegan versions. Parking is tough given the plaza is busy. They have high chairs. Menu is small but surprisingly good.
Wildseed in Palo Alto is a 100% plant-based restaurant at Town & Country, known for fresh, seasonal vegan dishes and creative cocktails The ambiance is casual yet stylish, with pretty decor and popular outdoor seating that gives it an airy, relaxed vibe Portions are on the smaller side and prices a bit high, but many guests feel the quality, service, and variety make it worth a visit
Amazing place to grab brunch in a nice location - the menu is all vegan. I ordered Oklahoma Smash Burger and liked it very much, would definitely recommend. There is a free parking lot which is pretty big but it gets super busy during weekends, just something to keep in mind.
The plant based food was quite tasty. Healthy? Probably not as healthy as a good ol' salad, but certainly healthy enough 😄 The starter came out pretty quickly (10 minutes after I sat down), but the main course took a little long (about 35 minutes after I sat down), though it was a busy Friday evening at 7pm, so it's understandable.
I’m not vegan and don’t usually seek out vegan places to try. However I was very impressed by everything I had here. My friend and I shared the corn cake which was amazing. And for entrees she got the omelette and I got the scramble salad. I was impressed by the overall textures and flavours of the dishes. In particular the “egg” and the “cheese” in my salad was very close to the real thing. Prices and portions were also extremely reason for Palo Alto.

First things first, don't rely on their online menu. I looked at that before going to the restaurant and was excited to try a particular dish only to find out that they have a seasonal menu that isn't posted on their website. Please keep in mind that while a lot of the dishes on their online menu and in-person menu may be the same, there are still quite a few differences. I was told that their menu will change next week and some of their dishes would be going away. My friend and I ordered curried cauliflower, spicy yellow curry, and an al pastor bowl. Curried cauliflower was our appetizer. It was served cold and was very bland. It came with a sauce but there wasn't enough sauce for the amount of cauliflower you get. The sauce was also mediocre and wouldn't stick to the cauliflower which was a very interesting observation (must have ordered sauce-repellent cauliflower). For our entree, our server informed us that one of the dishes was ready and the other one was almost done so as expected when the food came out one entree was hot and the other was cold. They didn't bother to reheat the cold entree before serving it. Both the al pastor bowl and the spicy yellow curry were decent but they didn't stand out. We were already thinking about ordering dessert when we placed our order but after that whole experience, we decided to not order it. For what it's worth, my friend and I really liked the ambiance and the interior. It was very cozy, welcoming, and vibrant. The restaurant was packed so I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time.
Overpriced, with service not so good. One of the staff women, cleaned soiled table (where we sat) with cloth “no disinfectant no spray nothing”. Pretty annoying. They served fritters in a broken plate.
