It's an amazing place where you have the opportunity to feel sweat and salt water in one place!
Beautiful beach and hostels, great food and view
Live a unique experience on the beaches of Palomino on the Caribbean coast and very close to Tayrona Park. Book now @experienciapalomino
Great parties on the beach on the weekend and water was surprisingly blue and clean
Beautiful beach, clean, big enough to have always a spot to sit or swimm and in there is a place where the river joins the sea, its amazing.
Excelkwnt vibe for revisiting nature and the ocean
Great beach! Great locals great food! Fun times!
Gorgeous beach with stunning jungle backdrop. After a recent storm, a lot of the beach got washed away. But every day more beach area is reclaimed- nature at work!
Extremely amazing place to visit.. Highly recommended. You can go from hostels to fancy all-inclusive hotels. Beach there is the best I've known in Colombia
Nice but small. Edit. Ok so we have been here a few days now and love it. Think of a small town with a beach about a mile long. No large or tall buildings to date, just normal size and sometimes with whatever materials they can find. There are some much nicer places to stay going east of the beach. We will make plans on coming back
Marvelous beach, almost virgin. From this point to south almost 2 km walking you can find Palomino River mouth. A scenery for nature lovers. You can find this beach driving 2 hours from El Rodadero - Santa Martha.
A beautiful beach, where the palm trees are just a few meters away from the water, making it the picture-perfect tropical beach It's clean, quiet and you can walk for hours. One thing to keep in mind however, is that the waves can get very rough and the water will rise almost up to the trees some days. So be sure to stay a few days in Palomino so you can experience both sides of the beach!
Super place to relaks! Definitely recommended! Super friendly people and the best beaches in whole Columbia!
Amazing laid back beach. Good vibes, nice sand and not overpriced. Beach vendors didn't feel overly pushy. Can recommend to go to the left (as seen from entering the beach) to arrive at the calmer side. Sadly quite some waves so not ideal for a chill swim or snorkeling, but better for surfers.
A mix a mountain jungle beauty and the ocean.. the ocean isn’t as blue because it’s more of a surf beach and the waves kick up the sand
It’s a beautiful beach, the sand is nice, when you walk over it, it doesn’t hurt your feet, the sea is beautiful, and it is prettier when it’s a sunny day. It’s also a windy place, the sea is tough, you can make surf but not with big waves. Bonita playa, el mar es más bonito cuando hace mucho sol, es agradable caminar sobre la arena de la playa, la playa es muy larga para caminarla.
Great area to the east of Santa Marta. You have access to fresh water rivers and the ocean. Nice laid back spot to chill.
It is a fantastic place in the north of Colombia, the beach is excellent and where many people from around the world comes enjoy this beautiful environment.

It is a great place to visit in Guajira district

Nice beach! Palomino is a beautiful destination with stunning landscapes and a peaceful atmosphere. The beaches are clean, and the river tubing experience is a must-try. There are plenty of great spots to eat, with fresh seafood and local cuisine. The vibe is laid-back, making it a great place to relax. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that the infrastructure could be improved—some roads are rough, and ATMs can be unreliable, so it’s best to bring cash. Also, depending on the season, it can get crowded. Overall, a fantastic place to visit if you’re looking for nature, adventure, and relaxation!
Very nice and calm Food is ok Water presure in the shower not good
Nice place to chill. The waves were just really strong so you have to be really cautious where you swim. Lots of venders selling things, I did buy cute necklaces from here. Cute shops nearby too!
Not the nicest beach but does the job.
I visited Palomino beach in late September and the water was warm and very easy to float in so I enjoyed swimming there immensely. The heat made taking a dip especially refreshing. At least when I visited, the undertow was not so strong to be dangerous and there were children swimming in the water and nobody seemed preoccupied. The beach itself is narrow but the sand was good and if you wish there are chairs to rent in front of the bars and restaurants that line the beach. Most important of all, it was possible to sit on the beach and not be harassed every other minute by aggressive vendors which makes it much more enjoyable than the majority of beaches in Colombia. No, it is not Hawaii or the Seychelles but Im not sure why anyone comes here with those expectations. It's a nice, quieter beach on a less developed part of the Caribbean coast connected to a hippie town.
Nice clean beach with 3 or 4 places to eat & drink. Water is quite turbulent for swimming.
Nice beach, less disturbances than in Cartagena or Santa Marta. Much more foreigner tourism which you’ll evidently see. Not too many vendors on the beach which is nice. The waves are very strong so take caution.
the beach is very much declining, so not a lot of space, and sadly theres a lot of rubbish. but theres some spots inbetween the river/coco beach and palomino village which people have not touched under the palmtrees whitout any houses or anything (pictured). about 10-15 minutes walk from palomino village.

A reasonably good place with a lot of eating, drinking and buying opportunity mainly aimed at the younger visitors.
This beach has the potential to be 5 stars. In some views it actually looks wonderful. Beautiful sand, clear water, and the waves are not so strong as many of the other beaches along the coast. The problem is that it's close to the town Palomino which is an ugly place, and it's a public beach which means it's very crowded. Many of the houses and restaurants are located very near the beach which leaves only a small space for the sand. Loud voices, loud music and little space makes me want avoid this place. Maybe it suits other people better.
I knew the palomino beach in 2012 and the place was beautifull and the restaurant very good but now I see its finish
Couldn't swim, too dangerous.
Sadly, as beautiful as it is, this beach has been destroyed and the water is coming up. I would not recommend swimming here as the water is very dangerous. But Palomino is a beautiful place and 6th street provides great restaurants and bars and a great ambience, I really enjoyed my time here.

The beach is beautiful, but the road to this place is in bad conditions, the local stores should be improved with better services (bathrooms, tables, water connections) and you can rent tends with moderate prices.
Its a fine beach, but not very beautiful and its a bit hard to find a spot to get in to the water because there a lot of (sometimes collapsed) concrete walls. For surfing (im a semi-beginner), the waves where very messy with a short break. Not very good for surfing while i was there.

Basically there is no beach. Extremely narrow. The waves are too strong
Would not recommend. Sea is and feels dangerous and waves come very far ashore making people lie shoulder to shoulder. Not very enjoyable. Colombia has much better beaches
Palomino beach is not really worth visiting. It is full of bars by the beach, the town itself is full of bara for american tourists willing to drink and party. If that is your mood go to Palomino. If you are looking for a relaxed and natura environment dont bother.
Nice permanent rain, but no water draining system. The roads are permanently covered with puddles of water. It feels a bit like an apocalyptic scene
No beach!
I don't understand why this is a major tourist area - there is basically no beach as others have mentioned and the little areas there are have no or half dead vegetation that resembles more a trash site than a beach. Pair that with masses of people who just want to drink and party and you have a place that's not for me. Anyone who finds this beach beautiful has my sympathies as they clearly never have seen a beautiful beach before. The one cool thing is that when you walk around in town you may see some tropical birds. Other than that badly maintained dirt roads and not anything resembling Colombian culture. It's more like a springbreak destination or Mallorca...
Don't waste your time going there if you're looking to walk on the beach or swim, unfortunately there is no beach anymore
