Tenía muchas ganas de visitar en este sitio, y al llegar relativamente temprano y ser uno solo me acomodaron enseguida. La comida típica muy buena, aunque ya casi vale la pena solo por ver el local, que casi parece un bonito museo

A very value for money restaurant with many options for starters, main dishes and desserts. They also offer baquette for free. Service was fast and in general very good. A small advice for solo travelers: no need to queue if you are eating alone as tables are shared.

Absolutely wonderful atmosphere and the kind of cosy French local spot you instantly want to stay in. You must try the duck confit because it is outstanding. I had the bourguignon which was decent, but the duck confit is the real highlight and should not be missed. The mustard lentil salad and the Sauvignon Blanc were also very good.

I would rate this overall 4.5/5 if I could. I went here twice in a span of three days. This restaurant opens very late, we arrived at 10pm and there was a queue but it moved gradually. The food was definitely on the more affordable side, with main dishes ranging from €9-€12.50, starters, cheese and dessert were all inexpensive too, additionally they give you a bread basket too. We enjoyed the steak, duck breast, pork snout, duck confit and cheeses. The calf's head was on the fattier side and the beef stew was a little dry in some places, still good though. As the restaurant was packed we had to share the table with another couple, which was fine but something to note. The wine is cheap and cheerful too. The service was on the slower side, due to amount of tables but was fine if you didn't mind having a good time with the meal! The waiters we had were nice, and was multilingual, speaking English to us and Spanish to the couple next door. Overall, good place for affordable food in Paris with a great atmosphere.

If you’re wondering where to eat real local French food in Paris, the answer is simple: Bouillon Chartier Grands Boulevards. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere takes you back in time. Historic interior, lively crowd, fast-moving waiters — everything feels authentically Parisian. About the food: Honestly, we ordered almost everything on the menu 😄 Starters were great, main dishes were classic French comfort food, and desserts were dangerously good. Everything was tasty and portions were very satisfying. And the prices? For Paris, they are unbelievably good. We kept asking ourselves, “How can this be so affordable?” In short: ✔️ Delicious food ✔️ True local dishes ✔️ Amazing atmosphere ✔️ Very good prices A must-visit spot in Paris. Totally worth waiting in line.

Came here for the first time in 20 years. The waiter was extremely nice and helpful. I came for a quick bite around 16:30h (some wine and fries). French hospitality means you get more than enough wine, and water and bread without asking. Afterwards I asked for a recommendation for a digestif. The place is beautiful and all the staff were very friendly. The bill was so low, I had to tip extra. Will come back!

Very nice French atmosphere. You can feel the good old days as soon as you walk into the place. We love the food. You can really taste the pork in pork terrines. The chicken tastes like the ones i had in grandma’s place many years ago. The portions are smaller, but perfect for us…

I don’t know about my husband’s Duck Confit but I thoroughly enjoyed my Beef Bourgiognon! Escargot was pretty decent too. Couldn’t comprehend the bad reviews this place received but we definitely had one of the best experience in Paris here. Emily in Paris aside, this place is really worth the hype!

Se trata de un restaurante típico francés, con un comedor de estilo antiguo, techos altos y un ambiente muy auténtico. Las mesas están bastante juntas y el espacio es reducido, algo habitual en este tipo de locales en la ciudad. De primero pedimos champiñones y sopa; la sopa estaba muy rica y bien caliente, aunque los champiñones podrían mejorar. Como plato principal, ambas optamos por el clásico bœuf bourguignon, carne asada en vino tinto acompañada de pasta, que resultó sabrosa aunque con un sabor a vino tinto bastante intenso. Para terminar, probamos un queso francés delicioso y un café de buena calidad. Cabe destacar especialmente la atención del camarero, que fue muy simpática y cercana.

Una experiencia en si fue ingresar a este restaurante, se sintió como retroceder en el tiempo hasta la Belle Epoque, un salón que conserva el estilo arquitectónico de época, colmado de gente, el bullicio, los comensales, maitres y un ejército de mozos atendiendo las mesas con eficiencia y presteza con sus uniformes que los distinguen de cualquier otro lugar (al menos otro no conozco). En este contexto la comida, la pulcritud "extrema” pasan a un segundo plano aunque no tengo nada que objetar en absoluto, llegué desde el otro lado del mundo y me regalaron un momento para guardar en mi memoria!!! Agradezco especialmente la gestión del joven que organiza la fila de ingreso, la atención del maitre y la eficiencia del mozo N* 19 (creo) Bouillon Chartier representa Francia y su historia!!!

Recomendados por videos de redes sociales, decidimos visitar el histórico Bouillon Chartier. Es un lugar característico y curioso de París, donde compartes mesa con otras personas y la cuenta la anotan en el mantel de la mesa. El local es muy bonito y te hace sentir que estás en otra época. Eso sí, tuvimos que esperar una larga cola para sentarnos, aunque fue a buen ritmo. La comida es sencilla, en relación calidad precio, no está mal pero si quieres comer bien y de buena calidad, quizás esté no es el sitio. Entiendo que el tipo de comida que sirven es la esencia del local.

Comida barata y en general bien, recomendados los guisos mejor. Restaurante de batalla. Los entrantes normal (a ese precio poco más se puede pedir), el estofado de caza buenisimo, el pollo aceptable (un poco seco) y los postres bastante buenos. El vino recomendado por 14 euros estaba también bien. Repetiría.

Very unique lunch/dinner experience in Paris. The vibe is mostly like “fancy school cafeteria”. The interior architecture is beautiful. The seating is tiny but cozy. You’ll bump into each other’s elbows while eating. The food was tasty, and the portions were fair. Pricing is fair for the food to taste and quality ratio.

The best dishes were duck confit and braised beef, would highlight recommend these!! Prawn with mayonnaise was below average, as it is not very fresh. Salmon was also below average as it’s quite bland. Sangria was nice and refreshing! Would recommend it as well! For dessert, chocolate moose is thick and chocolatey! Would recommend it too! It would be even nicer if the dessert are colder. Waiter was very fun and hospitable in his service! Excellent!

The restaurant has a huge queue, but it moves very quickly. I had the beef bourguignon with pasta and mushrooms, and for starters, a tomato salad and a mixed green salad. The beef was very good. The pasta was not, it was overcooked and tasteless. The mushrooms were terrible, they were canned. The starter salads were good and tasted fresh. Overall not bad for the price

Muy rica comida, recomiendo carne tradicional a la borñona. O algo así. Pero el servicio fatal . El servicio es fatal, nos atendió este mesero y es de lo más grosero. Estábamos en el postre y nos trajo la cuenta a fuerza, y aún no terminábamos. Decía palabras groseras en francés, no contaba con que uno de mis acompañantes si hablaba francés.

Íbamos sabiendo que era un restaurante bastante popular, con fila de espera. La comida no me gustó, pedí filete con papas y le pedí que la carne estuviera bien cocida y literalmente estaba cruda, yo se que hay gente que consume carne en este punto, pero yo no... Adentro es un caos, literalmente un caos, los meseros corren de un lado a otro, todo es rápido, y quieren que te vayas rápido también, para que entren más clientes. Nos hicieron sentar con otra pareja, claro todo con tal de meter la mayor cantidad de personas 🤨. Es ordinario... No pierdan su dinero y ahorrense el mal rato.

It was for a very long time on my list however was much below my expectations. It became very touristic - the atmosphere and location was nice - indeed felt like old Paris however the food was not great at all, below average at most. The service was nice - with a bit of Parisian charm - the waiters were not super polite but you felt well taken care of. The food arrived fast. Good that I went there but can’t say that I strongly recommend it - felt more like a tick in the box.

We arrived around 6:00 pm, and the line was not very long, so we did not have to wait too much. About an hour later, the line became much longer and very busy, so we were happy we came early. The service was very fast, which was nice. However, when we tried to order from the menu, several items were not available. The food was good, but the taste was nothing special or memorable. The prices are not high, so it can be considered good value for money. Overall, it reminded me of food you might find at a good university catering or dining hall. It was fine for a quick meal, especially for the price, but not something I would go out of my way for.

🪳 There was a cockroach in the bread (read till finish) 🪳 Waited in line for around 45 minutes. Service was great, food was actually really good. We tried the roasted duck, not bad, just kinda bland if you compare it to Bebek Madura. The steak was so good though. And the floating island was Worth to try BUT after we left, swear to God, we saw a cockroach casually walking on the leftover bread on the transfer table upstairs. And that table is literally where they put food that’s ready to be served AND the plates that customers already finished. So, yeah. Maybe that’s the source of the problem. Honestly I’m just glad we saw it after eating, because the food was good and I did enjoy it. So it’s like “hmm okay that was nasty but damn the food was nice so, i guess okay??” Not trying to destroy their rating, just giving an honest review. I really hope they fix the hygiene situation because that cockroach was way too comfortable.

It serves some French cuisine. The food is delicious, but moderately flavorful. The snails and sauce are especially delicious. It's a bit of a value-for-money restaurant. There's usually a line, but it moves very quickly. It takes 15-20 minutes to get there. However, the glasses, forks, and water jugs they bring are usually dirty. There are issues with cleanliness. I hope the food is made in a sanitary environment. I've been there 4-5 times, but it's always been dirty. The waiters are a bit arrogant. When I point out a dirty glass, they look at me as if to ask what I can do, force me to bring a new one, or even make me throw it on the table and leave. But when the bill is finally brought, they expect a tip. I had to go out of necessity, but I wouldn't recommend it until the cleaning regulations improve.

Ayer estuvimos cenando sobre las 21:45 y nos atendió el camarero NUMERO 25. La experiencia fue nefasta… empiezo por lo que nos hizo de poner esta reseña principalmente: mi mujer está embarazada, lo comunicamos y pidió salmón, el cual le dijeron que no había, entonces ella tuvo que volver a mirar la carta para pensar que quería y eso no le sentó bien al camarero, nos puso mala cara y únicamente le dio de nuevo la carta sin aconsejarle nada. Posteriormente pidió el otro pescado y de entrante pidió consomé, y nos retiraron la carta. Al minuto vino a la mesa y únicamente gritó “no consomé” y se fue sin darnos otra opción, ni la carta ni nada… fatal… Pedimos caracoles que estaban buenos. Ella pidio lubina, estaba sosa. Yo pedí que me pusiera lo que él recomendaba, me puso un bistec con patatas y me lo dejé entero (nunca me dejo comida jaja). Para el trozo de la foto tuve que masticar 42 veces… incomible. Nada mas que añadir. Solo que se centran en servir muchos comensales mal…

La verdad que después de esperar 1 hora en la cola me esperaba una comida dentro de lo que cabe sorpréndete ya que a un lugar muy concurrido y a la vez tiene historia ! Pero la comida nada que ver con el lugar , si es para describir el lugar está muy bien y el servicio de los camareros es buenísimo pero. La comida para nuestro gusto nada que ver en primer lugar uno de los platos que pedimos estaba crudo, parecía chicle ! Yo especialmente no volvería ! Y también entiendo a la gente que se lo recomiendan y después se llevan la decepción! Yo no lo recomiendo por la comida pero por lugar si por que la pasarela y dentro son dignos de ver por la historia que tienen !

A mi pareja y a mí nos llamaba la atención la cantidad de gente que había siempre haciendo cola. Por tanto hemos decidido ir a probar y para nuestra sorpresa ha sido la peor experiencia en Paris. Cabe destacar varios puntos claves: 1. Tras 40 minutos de cola, accedemos al restaurante para buscar mesa y nos sientan con dos desconocidos sin consultarlo y, a posteriori nos vuelven a colocar dos personas nuevas totalmente desconocidas, compartiendo agua y pan con ellos. Entiendo la afluencia de gente pero creo que ese aspecto se debe consultar. No sé si es algo común en Paris. 2. El tiempo de espera para coger la comanda fue de aproximadamente 25 minutos, tiempo similar para que traigan la comida. 3. La limpieza brinda por su ausencia. Local “aparentemente” sucio, camareros limpiando cubiertos con sus delantal también SUCIO. Encontramos trozo de comida en los vasos, tenedores e incluso la servilleta sucia. 4. La comida deja mucho que desear. No es que esté mala, pero los precios no van acorde a las raciones ni al sabor, ni al tiempo de espera. Merece la pena gastarte un poco más y comer más tranquilo y de mejor calidad. Parece que les preocupa más atender a más gente que dar la calidad correspondiente tanto en la comida como en el servicio.

The queue was quite long, but it moved fairly fast ; we waited about 30 minutes to get a table Unfortunately, the service seriously ruined the experience. The worst part was that our waiter appeared clearly drunk ;we could smell alcohol on him ; and he was very rude. When we asked for a starter recommendation, he simply replied “no recommend”, which was shocking. Ordering food was also extremely difficult. The waiter ignored us several times, and we noticed the same behaviour toward another Asian table nearby. They tried to get his attention for a long time and only managed to place their order after we had already finished eating, which was unbelievable. The food itself was quite decent, especially for the price, but the service needs major improvement. Allowing waiters to work while drunk is completely unacceptable and overshadows everything else. I wouldn’t return unless the service standards improve significantly.

Don’t believe the hype. I’ve been here twice and both times I’m disappointed. Service was the pits: First, the queue was so long at 5:30pm. I only managed to get in quicker as a solo diner. I’m seated at the same table as strangers, but it’s ok because they’re really friendly and were honestly the only good thing about the meal. Then the server makes you wait a long time for any service, and when you look at them hoping for attention because you’ve been waiting, they seem pissed off. The food comes and we’re eating (food is so MID), but our server kept wanting to clear our plates when we hadn’t finished eating. He even got one order wrong. Then very soon, they tell us they need the table back, and on the walk out they literally chase us out. Also, it doesn’t matter if you don’t know the people you’re sharing a table with, you share the carafe of water and the bread basket. Please save yourself the time and trouble and go elsewhere. It really can’t be a representation of “authentic French cuisine”. 👎
