This is a GREAT old fashioned hamburger stand, with FABULOUS chargrilled burgers. You order at a window. There is indoor and outdoor seating. 1/4 lb burger was VERY generous in size. Food was prepared quickly and served hot!

Have been coming to this spot for years since a little one. Mom's and dad favorite , plus you vant beat the portions . The staff is friendly so never hesitate to ask any questions regarding the menu since the are fast at taking orders. Plenty of tables to sit and have a nice day with family or friends.

This is the best breakfast burrito in all of LA county. I’ve been coming here as a kid and it has never let me down. I just had it again after a long hiatus and it didn’t fail me. Old school. Order at the window then pick up and eat at a table inside or out. Very fast service and delicious. My bottomless pit son could only eat half of his breakfast burrito! With all honesty not much more needs to be said about the amazing place that is Lucky Boy. Their prime staple is always going to be their breakfast burritos; served all day (except if you're a fan of Chorizo they only have that available UNTIL 11AM) and they're really the main attraction that people come for. However, with this being said, they also have a very good selection of other menu items like cheeseburgers, fries, zucchini fries, and chili cheese fries. I will update this review in the future with a photo but another one of their lesser known items (could be argued) is their patty melt sandwiches. Two slabs of ground beef, A LOT of onions, and two thick slices of American cheese served on a buttery toasted rye bread. Heaven.

Best burrito in town. Perfect before a flea market walk. Hot soft tortilla, fresh eggs and crispy bacon. The picante sauce adds a kicks but nothing fire. Preferably cash only but there is an ATM on site for withdrawals. I'm sure the other items are delicious but the staples of this place is breakfast burritos and they've won awards for it as well. I wasn’t a huge fan of their Famous Breakfast Burrito, it had too much potatoes and not enough flavor. It was just really big and heavy and that was about it. The employees always seem angry and look like they hate working there, which is unfortunate. But the food is great. They charge extra $0.50 for extra sauce/salsa. Plenty of free parking in the parking lot. There is seating indoor and outdoor (covered with shade, but a bit dirty).

Lucky Boy is a staple in Pasadena I grew up on their pastrami sandwich, as it was my mom's favorite! I love their fried zucchini and the portions are huge! I chose the club sandwich and it definitely did not disappoint!

Good food! I tried the chicken sandwich, bacon cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. Each one could have been eaten alone and be satisfied. The burger was filled with lettuce and tomato. The chicken sandwich had lettuce, pickles and special sauce. The chili cheese fries were delicious as well.

If you visit at prime time (mornings on the weekend) you’ll like run into a long line and a long wait, even if you’re only getting 1 or 2 breakfast burritos. Honestly, just take a friend and chat while you wait because the massive breakfast burritos are soooo tasty! The ingredients (eggs, cheese, hashbrowns, bacon, etc) are basic but top-notch basic!

First time and very happy, I must say. Ordered a 1/2 pound cheeseburger with bacon* and it was a fantastic surprise. Meat flavor fabulous. Two juicy patties of meat and a good amount of bacon on it makes it one of the best burgers I have tried in the area. *First I ordered it lettuce wrapped style but server told me they would only serve it with chopped lettuce and no buns, so I had to order it the regular way instead. Despite that, 100% recommend this legendary place!!

It’s one of the best onion rings I’ve had. The batter is matte, not greasy, thick but tender and crispy. I don’t know why other places can’t make them like this. the burgers are huge. I don’t like their buns, mine was a bit dry and ready to fall apart. It was a great late night snack

The food here is as good as it was when I first visited over ten years ago. Portions are large and I struggled to eat half of my double cheeseburger as I added a side of onion rings to my order (made it through about a third of those). The place hasnt changed which is a large part of its charm. The food came out quickly and the staff was very nice. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I have made two visits to this location. I had the cheeseburger for lunch and noticed that everyone else were eating the burritos. I took my coworkers the next day for breakfast burritos. My burger was tasty and fixings were fresh, just like at a summer cookout. Everyone loved the large burritos. I added avocado to mine, so much I saved 1/2 for lunch 😋

Got the famous breakfast burrito! This thing had to be a pound and a half, I couldn’t even finish it cause it was so big. It was really good just stuffed with bacon I mean I’ve never had to much bacon but this was close. Extra crispy and I didn’t even have to ask. Service was great, very nice. Originally opened in 1961, this spot is most famous for their breakfast burritos and burgers. They specialize in quick, casual, large sized to-go orders, however, there is an area where you can eat inside at one of their many booths. I have been here a few times and every time, even if there is a line, I never have to wait long for my order. There is a large free parking lot attached so parking is really easy and plentiful. They have a very large menu with all sorts of different options on it, but for this most recent visit, I got the Double Cheeseburger with avocado and loved it. The patties are really well seasoned, and they threw a ton of avocado on it which I loved. It’s just a really great comfort food option and really hits the spot when you’re in that mood. I also ordered a bowl of their Chili, and really liked it. It’s one of the better versions in the area and I would recommend if you are a fan.

This place slaps hard because where else are you getting a giant pastrami sandwich with thick cuts of super flavored, juicy, well-seasoned pastrami and fries? I've been to a lot of places that sell pastrami, and this is the first place that is worth the $14. Delicious! Oh, and my husband got the turkey melt but ate it too fast for me to take a picture, so I guess that was also delicious.

Two words to describe the Breakfast Burrito with Bacon, MASSIVE and DELICIOUS!! Man this burrito was so good. It's filled to the brim with bacon, especially bacon, diner style scrambled eggs, hash browns, and cheese! They don't skimp on portions. It's a very heavy burrito. Although, I wish the hash browns were a littleee bit more crispy and the more cheese melted. The salsa that comes with it is great too and has tons of flavor. Got a large side of fries and they were fantastic too. The decor of this place is just classic Americana. Like a diner in LA, but it just works so well for what the place is. It's very easy to order at the window outside and grab a seat inside or outside. Our food came out pretty fast. For about $12, it's a great burrito!!!

Super yummy little spot! I think this is an old, iconic location in Pasadena. It's a burger stop, but they have a wide range of sandwiches as well as burritos and a couple other assorted items. It has a diner sort of feel to it, with both inside and outside seating. I went with my family and we each had something different and then shared zucchini and regular fries. Great flavors, everything came out fast and service was friendly! Prices are very reasonable and if anything the portion sizes are rather large. Most of us took half of the food to-go. Fun place to grab a quick bite to eat! Would go again and try something else.

The food was good however, I did find a hair in my small order of fries. I returned it, and they took it back with no questions asked. Then, they made me a fresh order and upgraded it to a large. And yes, I would go back.

I love their double cheeseburgers. The chili cheese fries had our tummies bubbling after, makes me question how old the chili is. The zucchini fries are always a hit with that ranch. I love the portions for the price. I only wish the cleaning lady wouldn't mop her bleach around while I'm trying to eat. Nor rustle the trash bags so close to my table. Since this has happened twice on consecutive visits, perhaps something could be done about this. The place is old so there's not much atmosphere but an old diner. Come for the food!

It was honestly really good, the breakfast burrito I got was huge, my only complaint was there was a lot of shredded potatoes in it, with very little egg. The bacon definitely made it worth the value, because it had A LOT of bacon inside of it. The salsa was really good, not too hot for someone like me. My kids got the chicken tender dinner to share and it was HUGE. 4 chicken tenders with fries, onion rings, and zucchini sticks. They weren’t able to finish it with mine and my husband’s help and the zucchini was fantastic. My husband had the pastrami burger and his only complaint is that some bites had too much pastrami, otherwise it was absolutely delicious, and a good value overall.

Big burgers, double cheese was less than 8 bucks! I loved them, Chili cheese fries are a miss. Onion rings and Zuchini sticks are ok. Bacon was overloaded, but it was chopped for some reason and fell out of the bun. Small parking lot. Not really a four, more like a 4.3. Trader Joes across the street.

Love this Pasadena fast food place that is very well known for its breakfast burrito. It’s a go to for late night eats. They also serve burgers, sandwiches and Mexican fare. The breakfast burrito is a must try and can be made with either bacon, sausage or chorizo. It is huge and can feed two.

First time here and the bacon breakfast burrito didn't disappoint. The salsa that came with it could have been better. The service could have been better as they have a picture in the menu that looks like a quesadilla with avocado but we weren't sure. We asked the cashier what that was because we were interested in getting it his response was that he didn't know what it was. If you are selling something you should know what you are selling. The avocado burrito was very good also and had a good amount of avocado in it.

To be totally transparent. I had the breakfast burrito. I t was huge. The flavor was spot on. They add loads of crispy bacon, they pile it on. The sausage was good. The potatoes were smooth and you must get the ranch dressing on the side; if you like ranch dressing. Which cost 75cents which is good because you get a nice size cup. The bacon makes the breakfast burrito a game changer. Each bite add a little Ranch and a little salsa. That's right!😋🤣

I’ve been a few times and it’s always the same experience. The food is okay and they are plenty busy but since I don’t eat beef or pork and normally order a chicken melt sandwich, my order always gets lost in the process where everyone else is getting their order within 5 minutes, I always have to go ask and/or complain about where my order is. This is a Pasadena staple that my wife introduced me to. If you’re eating beef or pork then you probably won’t have an issue with service. Go see for yourself though.

The cheese and the bacon made it better but still nowhere near as good as other breakfast burrito places in Burbank for instance like Corner Cottage or Norms Hamburger (not the chain). Not worth the hype. Good and spacious dining place though and you can order ahead which are good options. Parking was not plentiful but spaces were available despite how busy it was.

Don’t believe the hype about this place. They serve average burgers like any other place. Nothing special about the beef or the way they cook the burger. Honestly, these burgers are just a bit better than the ones served in Burger King. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was similar to a whopper with cheese. Cheap & fast but you can feel your arteries clogging and the visceral fat attaching to your organs after every bite. Really great breakfast burrito 10/10... but eat it sparringly if you want to live past 50.

I came on an early morning to try their famous breakfast burrito. I definitely agree with the other reviews that say the burrito is massive. My friend and I split one and still couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, it was just OK. They were definitely generous with the protein (scrambled eggs and we chose bacon for our meat of choice) but honestly, it was a little bland. Nothing was really seasoned. The hashbrowns inside were kind of on the colder side and a little raw still, and I imagine they prepped their tortillas ahead of time with cheese, so that was cold—actually cold and not room temp. It was just a weird contrast of hot egg with cold cheese. I would maybe give it another try just because how it's a good deal for a lot of food and supplement it with some tapatío or something but I was a bit disappointed with by first impression.

It was busy on a Saturday morning about 11 am. Very popular place. Everyone there seemed happy with their food. Too bad for me I ordered a carne asada burrito...impressive size..perfect for sharing ....but the neat inside the burrito had spoiled...it had a funky stale odor...took one bite, asked my companion for a smell test, yup...threw it out. I wish I had followed advice and tried a breakfast burrito instead...or their touted pastrami burger...oh well...if there is a next time, next time.

I was impressed with the size of the breakfast burrito, but the asada was a huge miss. Long flat chewy strips of unseasoned beef. I also was not a fan of the salsa. I Like a salsa with a higher viscosity, their red salsa is like water

I ordered a large chili cheese fry online… instead I was given a large cheese fry with almost an entire onion shredded on top (I ordered onion but thought it be a couple diced tablespoons)…. not only did I arrive about 25 minutes after placing my order but also checked in at the counter & repeated my order to the employee who asked me.. (not only did they have a copy of my order for 25 minutes but also heard my order).. I didn’t mind waiting.. but now I’m pretty annoyed..

They used to have a great Breakfast Burrito but now it is just mediocre. Don't penny pinch and add some seasoning to the ingredients. And they did not give me salsa when I asked for one they guy said " .75 cents " . You don't give salsa for food anymore he just nodded No and walked away. So didn't even give me a chance to buy one if I agreed to buy one. Lost a customer for good.

My daughter and I went here after the Rose Bowl marathon to grab some quick lunch. I ordered the potato taquitos, hamburger, grilled cheese and fries and the chicken club with bacon. An older gentleman standing behind me raved about how good the food was and by the lines I knew we were at the right spot. But boy did they prove me wrong smh. The taquitos I ordered were potato tacos(wrong items) and the potatoes insides looked like cut up and overcooked French fries fried in a taco shell with an overdose amount of lettuce,tomatoes and avocado. The presentation was very messy and thrown together. My daughter loved her burger (which a lot of peoples ordered so they must be very good). My son’s grilled cheese was not melted all the way through so it was cold in the middle. My husbands chicken club looked like it had been dropped then placed in the wrapping..very messy. I walked back in to ask for salsa for the “taquitos” ( wasn’t going to wait nah longer for them to correct my order) but I was told the salsas were $0.75 each huh?! Needles to say I wasted money on wasted food(approx $55 for our lunch)

This place has bad customer service!! Also the employees take your order on the phone and when you go pick it up it's the complete wrong order

Gave 1 star cause I ordered over 30$ two burgers & onion rings asked for a second ranch and charged 75 cents the owner is a real tightwad. Like he’s not making enough money . Even jack and the box gives extra sauce oh got a chili cheese burger barley any chili and full of lettuce.

I saw a video on Instagram for their breakfast burrito being large and a lot of bacon. The burrito was large and a lot of meat. Down fall is the bacon tasted like dog treat bacon. Very low quality meat. Did not taste good and I love breakfast burritos. Then a couple hours later I had to throw it up. The whole.thing came back up. Felt crappy all day after that. I will never go back .

Cold coffee, cold food, cheese isn’t even melted, didn’t notice the pre-cooked bacon that is sitting there until leaving, very flavorless food. Hospital food has more flavor. The salsa is a waste of ingredients, time and money for the store. Had to go back multiple times and tell them about my missing items.

I come here very often when I was younger the burritos always were filled with bacon main reason why I come here for breakfast burritos only , this is my 2 time getting a burrito wit just mostly hash brown and egg no bacon lol , I even took a picture to show them they still didn’t care ,

I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito, it was hot seemed fresh. I took a bite and the sausage seemed odd and crumbled but I thought maybe it was just me. I took another bite and the smae thing so I pulled the sausage out and opened it and it looked so old and nasty. I called and they gave me the run around regarding the delivery of their meat. I'm pregnant so I'm glad I stopped eating it.

I’ve been coming here for 20 years (because of them having the best/biggest breakfast burrito in LA) and the quality of the burrito I had last night was one of the worst breakfast burritos I’ve ever had! They now source their bacon from the same place dominos does and it tastes absolutely terrible! The potatoes are obviously of cheaper quality as well. They charge .75¢ for extra sauce/salsa that is not like it used to be. New management is throwing away the quality to make a few extra bucks, if that, on each item. Will not be coming back to the Arroyo location anymore. I was not expecting this, so I feel obligated to let everyone else know!. Bummer…

I stopped to get a breakfast burrito on my way through on a road trip. I kept seeing tik toks of this place, and I was craving a breakfast burrito. I ordered the breakfast burrito and upgraded to carne asada and added fresh avocado, to tune of $23 and some change. I ordered to go since I was in the middle of a long trip, and was going to eat it while driving. I got back on the freeway, and when I opened the burrito, it was just a gross, soaking wet from grease chorizo burrito! It was so disgusting that I didn't even take a bite of it because I knew it was either going to destroy my clothes, or my leather seats. I honestly don't mind paying $30 with the tip for a bomb breakfast burrito, and I don't even mind the 30 minute wait to get one. I do mind when my order is COMPLETELY wrong, especially when I double checked with the guy to make sure it was correct. I understand when a place is busy and you're eating there, that it's easy to go to the counter and fix the mistake, but I was already back to the 5, and wasn't about to turn around and come back, and more than likely won't ever be going back again. I'm okay with a little abuse, but I basically paid $30 for a drip coffee? Do better!

Ordered online and it said it would take 25minutes. Got there after about 20minutes and went to the counter to ask for my order. They were extremely busy but I waited another 30 MINUTES for my order. People that ordered at the window when I got there got their food before I did. Why did I order ahead if it would be faster to order there? The breakfast burritos were big but average in taste. Chorizo burrito was soaked in grease and borderline inedible.

I would give zero if I could. What happened luckyboy. Chili cheese fries more like 2 pounds of cheese and old oil. Never again my friend..talk about a waste of money..what happen lucky boy? You sure lost that luck my friend. Picture worth a thousand words. In your case 10000 calories. If you want oil and cheese and fries this your spot

Ordered chili cheese fries but they had no flavor at all. Fries were soggy and the chili tasted bland, zero flavor. Pretty disappointing.

Absolutely filthy. The food isn't half bad. I ordered pastrami fries and although the fries were super soggy, there was a thick layer of melty cheese topped with juicy, greasy, meaty pastrami. The side of ranch was the cherry on top. But my god. This restaurant is disgusting. Sticky floors, sticky counters, sticky tables, dirty seats, trash on the floor, overflowing trash cans, bathroom covered in lord knows what, this place honestly needs to be failed by the health department.
