Went to breakfast with family near end of November. Really polite staff and were able to accommodate our large group of 8 people. Only bad thing is that there were no shades for the south end of the restaurant and the sun was beaming through and reflecting off our table. Had to wear my sunglasses during breakfast. Great food though and wonderful staff

Great food at a great price in a cool spot! Love the fact that I could get some delicious breakfast while watching plans takeoff, land, and taxi. So cool!

Amazing views of the airport takeoff strip. Very comfy environment. Waitresses are sweet, food is delicious (every time!) and portions are generous. You might see Joe (owner) pop in to say hi!

Outstanding food, and plenty of variety on the menu. Nice folks, and an interesting place to eat.

I've been going to Joe's since it was a tiny hole-in-the-wall in Paso, pre-earthquake. Whenever I'm back in town, I make it a point to have breakfast at Joe's, thigh this is the first time I've been to this location. The food and service are just as good, and once the fog lifted, the view was rather lovely. The coffee isn't great, but everything else is. Your vegan friend is going to have a hard time here, but a vegetarian will be fine.

One of the best breakfast places I've eaten at.Large portions, even the toast. Nothing was oily or greasy , great service and promptly served. And yes its inside the airport

A wonderful surprise! I had no idea that this off-the-beaten track existed. We were visiting Paso Robles pulling a trailer, so my sister recommended we meet where we could park it easily. Airport food is not usually the first thought one has for meeting for a meal! Joe's One-Niner Diner is certainly a hidden gem. The servers were friendly and clearly knew the regulars that were there at the time we were there. I ordered the Chilaquiles and was not disappointed! Delicious. My sister got the biscuits and gravy half order, which was huge and also delicious.

So I really enjoyed all of Joe's restaurants, one at Paso Robles Airport called One Niner Dinner. There are two other locations one on Spring Street in Paso Robles and the other in Templeton. All locations are equally good. The picture is of their chicken fried stake and eggs. Great choice for a satisfying meal.

I love this place! I have never gotten a bad server. The food is good dinner food. Plus, it is so cool to take my son and watch planes take off. Definitely, it's one of the best spots in paso for a simple breakfast.

We were heading back home from a concert at Vina Robles and we had a concert goer recommend this breakfast place. We'd eaten at Joe's on Spring St but didn't know they had a small location at the airport. We ordered our Breakfast Burrito to go and they were ready the minute we got there (15 minutes) their Burrito is HUGE and has large chunks of potatoes eggs bacon and cheese. I could only eat half. The diner has a few tables and chairs to eat there but isn't huge by any means. The staff was friendly and I was waited on quickly. If you're in Paso Robles I would highly recommend Joe's One-Niner at either location.

My friend in the area recommended this place. It's at the Paso Robles Airport. It's not somewhere you would just stumble on. The breakfast is very good, and the location is really neat. Right on the Taxi way for the airport, you have a nice view of the area. They have a 2nd location in Old Town I have not tried yet but I've heard it's just as good. If your on the West Side of Paso you want to come by and check this place out. It's a little off the highway but worth the short drive.

M
Mercedes Silva

To start, walking in you get a great view of the airport runway You're seated right away, the service is quick and the food is fair priced. No complaints in out party group. As a couple, it's really a nice early morning location before hitting the wineries.

Best place in town for breakfast or lunch. Never disappoints.

C

Stopped here with friend when he needed some flying time. They do there own unique take on regular sandwiches, all of them look good. There probably isn't a bad sandwich on the menu. We all enjoyed what we ordered. The place was packed but the service was never lacking and was very friendly.

Staff is friendly, unless you mess with them, then they'll mess back, all in good fun! Its great seeing the planes and helicopters take off and land. The new expansion of the dining area is an incredible improvement! Best breakfast in town!

Great service with great food! An expansive menu. The aviation theme and history on the walls was rich. Worth the visit and if you're flying, worth the pit stop before your next leg! I had the ABTCC sandwich and it was really tasty. My friends had the patty melt, tri-tip and Philly cheese steak sandwiches and they all raved. All of our food was tasty, large portioned and worth the money. They're only open for breakfast and lunch and close at 2pm so plan accordingly.

Our Uber Driver turned us on to this place, and we owe him one! Never would've found it otherwise. The restaurant is located within the municipal airport, five minutes north of Hwy. 46 east. Typical dinner vibe - table or counter seating, I didn't see any booths. We sat on the patio - watched a couple private planes land. Super peaceful and relaxing. Menu was exactly what one would expect - all the staples. Service was friendly and pleasant. Our coffee cups were never empty. It started sprinkling as we were getting ready to leave, and the bussers were quick to move us indoors. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were generous. Definitely a local crowd. Happy they made us feel so welcome. Would absolutely return, next time I'm passing through 💚✈️

Food and service were excellent. There was a long wait on Sunday AM but the lounge area at the airport was very comfortable and the football game was on. The airport was cool with different aircraft- great time - we'll be back again!

Best breakfast in town! All of the same menu items from Joe's Place that we love, in a new location closer to our house. Tastes the same, same prices. We'll be dining at this new spot from now on. I wouldn't say it is good for groups, since it's a small spot. Kind of cool that it's at the airport, you could watch planes. Get the chiliquiles supreme.

Located on the flight line in the Paso Robles airport. I googled best breakfast in Paso and Joe’s popped with the highest ratings and it didn’t disappoint. I sat at the bar across from the kitchen and every plate of food looked delicious. Now my go to when I’m in Paso.

We got there at 1:30 and had plenty of time before they closed at 2pm. We shared the grilled turkey with ortega chiles, it was excellent. The french fries were nice and crispy. We also shared a cup of chile verde, lots of perfectly cooked pork and nice spices. Next time I will have the burrito. Lindsey and Heidi were quick and attentive, the restaurant is very clean. A great small airport eatery, we will definitely stop there again.

We don’t live in Paso Robles, but every time we visit, we make sure to go to Joe’s One-Niner Diner. There is usually a bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. The servers are always attentive and friendly, and it’s fun to watch the small planes taxiing through the diner window. I always enjoy the food when we go. One of my family members said they’d prefer to have their bacon more crispy (despite ordering it “extra crispy), but I didn’t think that was worth removing a star. We’ll keep coming back!

We were on our way to Monterey from LA. We were near Paso Robles so we searched for somewhere to eat. Found Joe's, we didn't know it was actually in the airport. It took us awhile to find it. There was no signage. We went there at about 1:00, we didn't have to wait. Ordered the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich with mushrooms with au jus. The sandwich was good and the service was excellent. The server was very attentive and she kept refilling our ice tea.

Yummy food and great views of the planes coming and going. My only issue is certain staff really cannot handle a rush, so if its busy or you have a large group, I would choose to eat elsewhere. Otherwise it's a great little spot for good diner food! Try the Mexican offerings I think those options are done really well here!

What a fantastic find. Coffee was tasty and the Chilaquiles were delicious, hash browns cooked to a perfect crisp. Service was friendly, efficient, and fast. Really hard to beat the view while eating too.

I drove out of the way to get here after reading other reviews. Beyond worth it. Had the homemade biscuits and gravy with an over easy egg and sausage patty. Hard to beat the cinnamon rolls that are bigger than your hand. Top that with excellent service and watching planes come and go and I will come here whenever passing through paso.

Cute diner with delicious food located inside the Paso Robles airport terminal. It’s one of those hidden places that locals love that you may not think to go to unless you’re out on an adventure. I highly recommend it if you’re visiting the ravine waterpark or the warbirds museum. They serve breakfast all day and the biscuits and gravy are really good. Burgers, sandwiches and more! Friendly experienced staff and comfortable atmosphere. Free parking.

We have been coming to this place for breakfast every few months for over a year. The breakfast is good, it is never too crowded, and it’s fun to look out on the municipal Airport. The staff is friendly. We like the Joe’s on Spring St too, but sometimes there is a wait there and the staff gets stressed. No stress early at the airport location. Joe’s ranchera sauce really is special.

Best lunch food I've had in a very long time. The only reason its not 5 stars is that they're three weeks from the end of a remodle and the current seating area is very small, cramped and noisy. But, the staff did an amazing job of dealing with the tight quarters. I'll be going back after the remodel is done and will most likely change this to 5 stars.

Very friendly staff. Nice little diner with great views of the little airport. Not fancy. No alcohol served.

Service was a little slower than it should have been. Staff was not in any rush to clean tables and get people in and sealed . When we arrive there was 5 empty tables that needed cleaning and we were told would be a few min wait . Took 20 min for the tables to be cleaned and to be seated. We were recommended to Joe's for the views of the airport and the food. Food was good and large portions. If your looking for a good breakfast and have alot of time to kill Joe's is a decent breakfast spot .

Located inside the terminal of Paso Robles municipal airport this cozy little diner, serves up some great food. Pretty well guarantee the waitress will not let your coffee cup get even halfway empty. The staff is friendly and personable and makes you feel like family. With a view of the aircraft and hearing the chatter of pilots, sitting around talking over coffee, add to the atmosphere. Review based on breakfast. Ordered bacon, mushroom, bacon Scramble with home fries. They forgot the mushrooms, the server said she'd get some grilled up but I said not to bother so she reduced the bill, nice. Home fries were just basic baked potatoes, zero seasoning. The bacon was very fatty, could have been cooked longer imo. Compared to other breakfast places in the area, for me it's, me. The servers were frikkin awesome though.

I have been eating here on and off for three years and have often wanted to be critical for what they offer but today was the day I decided to write about it. I ordered the tri-tip and Ortega chili sandwich with fries and it was a real disappointment. I had a felling there was going to be an issue when my coworker handed me the bag with my order and it felt like it was just an empty Styrofoam container. My disappointment was confirmed when lifted the top slice of bread only to find a single slice of beef (with a couple of other "fragments" and only enough chili pepper to cover half of the sandwich. The fries had an In-N-Out texture that once they cooled to an edible texture they were pasty and hard. I suspect they were raw potatoes that were not low temperature par-boiled (cooked) like real fries should be (and that In-N-Out doesn't either). I have noticed a decline in their portions and general lack of culinary acumen. I would like this to be constructive criticism because it would be nice that I can enjoy a good meal from them regularly while I'm at work. Step up your game folks or I won't consider coming back.

We love Joe's in Paso and Templeton so we ventured to the one-nine diner. Our server was very good keeping our ice tea from being empty. There was lots of activity on the runway which was cool. Unfortunately the hubby's chicken fried steak had the consistency of ground beef and it was also on the spongy side. My omelette was only ok. The two stars are for the server she was very attentive.

Make sure you have plenty of time to spare. The first time we went out there it took forever to get our food. A year later we went back to eat and something. So we won't be returning. Food is good thou.

Terrible breakfast. I had the “Wimpy Special Omelette”, and wimpy is an understatement: it was awful. Stated to contain turkey, bacon, onion and cheese, it was by far the worst omelette I have ever experienced. It was hard to identify the pieces of turkey, but eventually I realized that these were the few, small thin rectangles of chopped and pressed meat, barely distinguishable from the floppy bits of onion. The bacon was not crisp as expected, it was bendy and tough. The bulk shredded cheap cheddar-style cheese was easily spotted, since it hadn’t melted. The worst aspect was the egg. The proper way to make an omelette is to beat fresh eggs and sauté them in butter, adding the still-hot cooked ingredients, with the cheese, when the egg is nearly cooked through. My best guess is that this omelette was made using bulk, pre-blended egg, ladled into a mold, then baked before sliding onto a plate and folded over the filling. I ordered “home fried potatoes” with my dish, and these appeared to be frozen chunks, baked in the oven and left to sit. I would expect some additional ingredients, such as green peppers and onion. Nope, just the potato with no seasoning. The only decent things on the plate were a small (and I do mean small) plastic cup of salsa and a few slices of avocado. I always say that it’s hard to mess up breakfast, but these folks managed it. Only twice before in my long life have I experienced a meal prepared with so little concern for the quality of the ingredients or the execution. I can only assume, based on the preponderance of favorable reviews, that the kitchen was today occupied by a substitute cook with a cousin in the cheap frozen foods business.

Service was so bad; it didn't matter how good the food was. . . Our waitress was basically taking our food away to kick us out and bring more people in, I totally understand you have to get other guests in but that is not the way to do it. She was very pushy asking us, are you guys done, ok have a good day bye, I'm going to clean the table I have people waiting, and my mother in-law was trying to finish her toast, if you tell me that we were there for over 1.30 hr ok kick us out, our time there was about 30 to 35min. Very bad customer service would never come back, and I will advise friends not to come here!
