An hour and a half's drive from Brescia, after several hairpin bends, we reached this spectacular place. The road climbs steeply. In some places, it's a little narrow, in others, it's very wide. The hotel is a quaint, all-wood building. You can smell it from the scent as soon as you enter. It also has a spa. It's perfect for all seasons: in winter with the snow, in summer with the sun, in spring with the flowers and green meadows, and in autumn for the foliage.

An excellent restaurant serving traditional Brescian mountain cuisine: homemade gnocchi with porcini mushrooms, pasta with Bagoss cheese, venison stew, casoncelli alla bresciana, and much more. E-bike rentals are available next door (E-bike Dosso Alto), also managed by the restaurant. You can also charge your e-bike during lunch or coffee.

Here in Maniva, you're surrounded by truly enchanting surroundings, with the opportunity for wonderful hikes. They can organize ideal excursions for all types of hikers. For lunch, however, I always come here to the Dosso Alto, where I always have a great time. The place is pleasant and welcoming, and I think the veranda is beautiful. I especially like the first courses, perfect for recharging your batteries after a great hike. The clientele is often large, so it's best to book. The staff is friendly, pleasant, and even a little "rustic" and genuine, as mountain and valley folk often are, but that's an added bonus! They were really good, even for being so quick on a sold-out day!

I had lunch at a restaurant today, August 14th. People are escaping the heat, and many of us were considering a stroll along the beautiful Maniva. We thought it would be wonderful to top off the walk with a good lunch, so yesterday we booked a table at this restaurant, which has hosted us on other occasions. Decorated in a modern mountain style, with thoughtful and original details, I've had a great time every time, and today perhaps even better. Despite the restaurant being packed, the service was friendly and quick, and the food was excellent. The menu offers simple, limited dishes, but it's exactly what I personally look for in an authentic mountain restaurant. "Il montagnino," for example, is a dish with polenta, salami, and melted local cheese. What cheese!!! And what a delicious salami. The menu also features excellent wines. The prices are fair.
