Other than the fact they they changed beers the night before and didn’t bother updating the menu, it was very good. Service was great which is a big part of the experience.

Had a bite here and it was surprisingly good burger and fries. I didn't get an opportunity to try the other spots or hit the bar, but I plan on going back and seeing the rest of the items as possible. The staff are friendly and there are places to park as well. It can be busy so keep that in mind.

We came in before Midnight on Main. The food was okay. They had a lack of wait staff but those working did a great job and we're efficient. The food was unremarkable. The pretzel's being sold on the street outside looked significantly better than the one we got as an appetizer. I don't think we'll be rushing back. We had a reservation but the place had empty tables.

Everything was good...not great. The food, the place , and the service were the highlight. Our waitress was great. But the place was ok ...if you want a bite to ear, sure come in.

The bartender was very rude and started a fight that ruined everyone’s night. You’re not doing people a favor serving drinks, it’s your JOB!!! You can’t ignore people for 20 minutes and then tell them your mad because you think someone ignored you at some point during their night out(which your not a part of except to serve drinks) train your staff not to be rude and then call the bouncer on steroids because your sensitive

TLDR; Plenty other places a few doors down, but if here do a closed tab and make sure they acknowledge any specials like the happy hour half-priced apps Brought the bartender the Happy Hour menu and ordered with at least 10 minutes left of specials. Drinks were served immediately, apps took like 30 minutes, had to go and ask what’s taking so long. A couple drinks were priced right, all the “half-price” apps were full price. When confronted, the bartender says he “didn’t hold back…put in the order when we asked.” No one said you were “holding back” dude… I shouldn’t need to very explicitly ask for the Happy Hour Specials while pointing at the Happy Hour menu, during Happy Hour. The bartenders look very comfortable behind the bar and very aware of what they are doing. Pretty predatory of them to take advantage of people visiting for the holidays (Thanksgiving) Don’t choose to go here. Soo many better places down, up, and across the street from this spot. If some friends drag you out here, definitely do a CLOSED TAB, and be very specific during any happy hour or specials.

I went here and ordered two beers. They then proceeded to tell me my credit card was not on file even though it was charged. I went next door and came back and they said that they still didn't have my card. They added more charges to my card the next day. I'm trying to cancel my card as I'm writing this. What a terrible thing to do to someone visiting for a wedding.

This place certainly lives up to their name. The guy manning the bar thought it'd be a cute idea to be a prick and delay our order to screw us out of happy hour prices. When we tried to talk to him about it he got annoyed and refused to help. If I ever have the displeasure of passing by this place I will be sure to tell people take their money elsewhere

Made it 10 minutes before happy hour, started a tab. Waited 30 minutes for appetizers probably because he waited to put our orders in. Dude purposely put our orders to be after happy hour ended. When i asked him about it, he became confrontational. Terrible place

Ordering doordash was a horrible experience for a second time. First time, I ordered ice cream and there was broken plastic throughout the ice cream. Second time, picture attached, the burger is horrendously overcooked, missing all ingredients. This is so disappointing considering how good eating inside the restaurant is. This food should have NEVER left the kitchen and a safety hazard. Beyond frustrating and disappointing.

BUGS IN MY MEAL! RUN AWAY!! NOT SAFE! Village Idiot in Patchogue delivered one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have encountered in recent memory. Upon opening my takeout order, I was met with the unmistakable presence of a fly resting on my food. This was not a case of poor seasoning or presentation but a clear lapse in basic hygiene. The discovery raises serious questions about food safety and cleanliness standards in the kitchen. When I contacted the restaurant, the response was dismissive and devoid of concern or accountability (no manager on site). Dining establishments bear a fundamental responsibility to ensure that what leaves their kitchen is safe to consume. In this instance, Village Idiot failed completely. I would strongly advise others to consider alternative restaurants in Patchogue where food integrity and customer care are taken seriously. RESPONSE TO OWNER: I called immediately and was told a manager was not in and that one would call me back. No one called back. Filled out an inquiry and a manager named Nicholas emailed me after but that’s about it. I had a good inspector pay the restaurant a visit.
