Opinions de Division Street Grill Peekskill
Two years and a row we had the New Year's Prix fixe dinner. Great food and service. Wonderful atmosphere.
My favorite restaurant in the area. Staff is friendly & accommodating and the food is wonderful.
We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at the Division Street Grill. It was great! The food is delicious and high quality! We had a number of dietary restrictions that they accommodated perfectly. The ingredients and dishes are made in house so no worries about things like MSG. Arnie (the owner) and his crew are super nice and friendly. They welcomed us and explained everything when we met in advance to try out the restaurant. At the event, we had plenty of crew members helping us. We especially loved Osley! He became part of the family. He talked with people sometimes, he made my grandparents feel super comfortable which is difficult because they hardly spoke English and were overwhelmed by everything at first, and he had people laughing together on several occasions all while perfectly managing the wait staff and the service. Thanks!
Ferrat and his team at the Division Street Grill are the most welcoming and exceptional restaurant staff we've ever met. We had reservations someplace else, but didn't like the look of the place upon arrival, so after looking at menus on the street we felt Division Street looked nice. We were MORE than pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this place is. From the people to the delicious meal we were not let down. We don't get to Peekskill often, but we will make sure we revisit them when we do!!
Excellent food and atmosphere. We had many corporate events and office meetings here. The area is just divine, with coffee shops, quaint books stores and plenty of popular places to spend a night out with friends. Downtown Peekskill can be a blast.
There are many options to choose from in Peekskill, but I find myself leaning towards the Division Street Grill each time we dine in Peekskill. The kitchen is solid with a capital "S". Each dish is impeccably prepared. The ambience is above average, though we prefer to be seated up front. The piano music on the weekends is a plus. While I keep telling myself to try other dining choices, its hard to pass up a place that is always enjoyable.
This Grill is great....it is such an awesome place to eat....the food is delicious....I have tried many of their dishes and they were all good......and also at anytime they are open you can go to the bar ....sit and have a drink and meet awesome people...everytime! Top place to go and I highly recommend it.

Great restaurant with live music! 🎶
Great restaurant with live music! 🎶
Crab stuffed Avacado, Ceaser Salad, Salmon-Scallops-Shrimp Salad with Cider dressing and a really delicious Rigatoni in Bolognaise sauce. All this and a wonderful Jazz background. This is our best restaurant for a preshow dinner.
really enjoyed the food, the waiter disappeared every now and then and we had to find the manager for the check. Hopefully that was a one time thing.
Great food and atmosphere, was very surprised not many people there when we were.
Good atmosphere, very friendly staff. But the highlight (as it should be) was the food. Fried calamari for appetizer, perfectly done. I had braised short rib and the woman had rack of lamb, both very tender and delicious. Desserts were great too! Highly recommend this place for a nice dinner date. Only downside was the drinks were very small (cocktail and martini)
We went on a Monday night, so we had a very private dining experience. The food was excellent, and the service was superb. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the ladies room...it needs a serious upgrade!
Food is amazing! A little pricey, beware of excessive automatic gratuity. We were a table of two with a small order and server tipped himself 20% with minimal service.

This and Gleasons are the only two restaurants that have burrata in Peekskill, with Division being open on Mondays (a rarity). Their burrata was simple but just right, and everything else was okay. Extremely slow service.
Decided to take my little one on a "fancy" mommy and me date to dinner because I had a coupon from local flavor for Division street grill that was expiring. This was not my first visit as my son and I had done a couple sabbath afternoon lunches there about 6 years ago but haven't been back recently. It was as usual clean, the music just loud enough to enjoy but not overwhelming so you would not hear your dinner partner. I have always liked the art work displayed. I liked how welcoming the staff seemed to be and was timely with getting our food to us. We had some lentil soup as an appetizer, it was delicious but a bit salty. I ordered the Salmon with steamed veggies and jasmine rice, my daughter had chicken fingers and French fries. She had a couple bites and was soon done so did I. We took our food as leftovers to go. I enjoyed my meal, the veggies and rice were cooked perfectly but I fell in love with the semi sweet sauce of the salmon. It was delicious. I tried my daughter's chicken fingers I soon realized why she was not too enthusiastic. The batter, a bit overcooked and the chicken itself underneath had no flavor and was a bit rubbery. It's a shame because she had been given an adult size portion that we had to later toss. Overall it was a good experience, I would recommend this place to anyone. The prices are fair, atmosphere pleasant and employees pleasant. Enjoy.
Food was delicious when we were finally served. The service was extremely slow. We were the only 2 in the restaurant! It took a good 25+ minutes for our meal. Upon entering, the waiter was just standing there, looking at us. No greeting until WE said hello. The food was well presented, and very tasty.

If your restaurant is CLOSED, how about fix your reservation option listing on Open Table. We had a concert & booked reservations & we get there in the cold rain, and you are closed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily Whisky River was open and welcomed us with open arms, the food there was GREAT BTW!
The food has no flavor, the dessert is over rated, and not fresh and the service is mediocre (slow, not well trained). Great space/location, however, they have no idea how to use it to attract more customers. This is a place you can easily skip with no love lost!
Did the NYE $55 prix fixe menu for a total of 10 people including myself. What a HORRIBLE MISTAKE/EXPERIENCE. An 830pm reservation turned into an entire night experience with us leaving at close to 1130pm NOT BY OUR CHOICE. First off the service was extremely slow and un-attentive. It took 30 mins after we sat down to even be offered drinks, then when we still hadn't gotten our drinks we flagged down the waitress to ask if we could put in our food orders. Drinks ended up coming out right before our first course (soup) about 20 mins later. The night continued along like that, barely got water refills, never was offered another round of drinks. Then two meals of the main course did not come out until well after the other 8 meals had already been eaten. We asked the waitress if anything could be done and she spoke with manager (Arte) who said he would comp a $55 meal. Instead of doing so when we received the check he instead somehow charged us included 20% gratuity on a total bill of $1300, when our bill was only around $650 ($55ppx10 = 550 plus about $100 drinks), which came to $237 gratuity on what was actually a $650 meal. Not sure if he was trying to get over on us and make us think we got a discount or what. After speaking with Arte, who was in charge and did this I asked if our gratuity made any sense to him, he said the computer just does what it does. I really don't know if the man was drunk, completely oblivious, or both, and he was the manager/owner! After about 15 mins of literally telling him how to use his computer so that we wouldn't be overcharged we finally got our check straightened out with $55 discount. So frustrated with the entire experience at this restaurant I will be sure to NEVER EVER GO BACK. How does a manager/owner leave one waitress alone to serve around 50 people? Arte should barely call himself a manager because he is a terrible one. He stands behind the bar doing who knows what and has no clue what is happening in his restaurant.
