Very great food, service was good, I went during their off season (Nov.) And I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who goes to breezy point!
A really nice late lunch on July 2nd...yes, 4th of July weekend. White linens.. real glass.. the sound of water gently moving downstream...perfect lunch.
Outstanding food. Great service. Highly recommend.
This is our favorite place to eat as a group during our group golfing trip. Service is always great. The food is always good. This would also be a good place for a special occasion dinner like birthday or anniversary. The prices are a little spendy but the food makes up for it.
Amazing food for sure! The service was absolutely great! It is more on the spendy side and the lighting is super low but this is exactly what we were looking for as we celebrated my birthday. A for sure go to when you want a nice and quiet romantic evening! They even surprised me with a lovely delicious desert that had happy birthday written in raspberry topping!
A a true up north gem. Try the scallop appetizer. They cook it perfectly. We had the halibut special. They couldn't have cooked it more perfect on top of a seafood stuffing it was incredible. Yes it was 95°, but there was a cool breeze in the shade with a white tablecloth and a beautiful water feature in the back. I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Second year in a row. We even had the same waitress. I highly recommend this place. Top quality food and service. A+
Our waitress was fabulous! Very nice bar and restaurant.
Spent weekend at Breezy Point and visited three of the restaurants. North Star. Antlers and Palmers at the Deacons golf course. North Star was very lively and fun. Palmers was quiet and lovely. Antlers on Saturday had our favorite bartender and drinks, a tall young man who has golfed every course in the world. I think his name was Damon. Great personality. Great seats by the water. Good food that took a while but didn't disappoint. Typically go to a different resort up here but Breezy won us over. Will be back.
Food are delicious and the services are excellent. I am vegetarian and was able to order Fettuccine. My wife said that the salmon was very good. It's not crowded because we were their early spring (April 2024) and the restaurant is tidy and clean. It has overlooking view.
My first time there! The service was fast, our waitress was super pleasant, the food was absolutely delicious!!
Great food experience. My advice is to book a reservation. The place is packed through out the evening. The food, the staff and location was great. Try the local artisan bread and burnt butter. You will love it. Well dob
This place is awesome! The staff was amazing and the food, top notch. I had an order of their crab cakes and the walleye sandwich; and the crab cakes were some of the best I’ve ever had. They are served with a lobster sauce that is so delicious, I kept the leftovers to dip my sandwich in 😆 If you’re in the area looking for some great food - stop at Antlers. If you’re lucky, Pam will be working and you’ll be at one of her tables. Cheers!
Food was so delicious, everything was done perfectly. The dining room was gorgeous and I loved the antlers chandeliers. Marie was our server and she was so attentive even though she was greeting and seating everyone and even taking care of people at the bar. She was really doing everything. She made our dining experience amazing. Definitely coming back because of her.
Even though staffing was a challenge this restaurant still gave wonderful personal service. The food was excellent. One night we just went for a drink and dessert without a reservation. They accommodated us! We tried the flourless chocolate torte and it is five stars. Then we went back for dinner with a reservation and requested Pam as our server again. We requsted Pam because she does such a fantastic job. We had lobster tail and shrimp. Again the quality was excellent. It's clear that everyone on staff is working hard to make any visit to antlers memorable. I would highly recommend the back patio when weather is nice as it is gorgeous. Thank you for two outstanding experiences during our anniversary week!
Had dinner with our family of 4 on Friday, July 2nd. We sat outside and our server, Alicyn, could not have been better. Our food was also excellent, kudos to the kitchen crew. Teamwork among the staff was evident as well. From start to finish, it was an outstanding experience and we can't wait to come back. Thank you!
Great atmosphere, good range of good food, and friendly and accommodating staff. The patio is pet friendly, fairly comfortable with good scenery. I was here with family and my dog later at night on the outside patio. Servers Allison and Steven were expediant and proactive, such as being quick to bring candles for light as dusk approached.
Seated right in front of the fireplace. Had the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. Delicious with a PERFECTLY sized portion! Finished dinner with the flourless chocolate torte. Awesome. The server was great, too. Great last night of our vacation.
Love this place! Great food. Server was super nice. I got the filet, it was done perfectly! Presentation of food was excellent!
Appetizers and dessert were delicious but the ribs and chicken combo came with chicken fingers. Rather disappointing for the price. Beautiful setting and large outdoor seating area.
Good service, ribs were good... fell off the bone. Had the burger tonight... very tasty! French fries could have been crisper. They were a bit soft.
Really great food, to start the boneless wings were so flavorful, and the Hungarian mushroom soup was delicious. My husband got the mushroom ravioli that was to die for, and I got the lobster, scallops, and shrimp which needed a little salt but the lobster was perfect, sweet & well seasoned, YUM! the best lobster I've ever had! I was disappointed that they didn't have crab cakes or the option to get oscar style until after memorial... really bummed... and that you couldnt get dinner menu @ lunch time or prime rib on week nights.
Smaller size fancy portions. Excellent food and service though.. Would have been a better experience without the young children sprinkled around considering how much they charge for their meals.
Food was good but not the best I’ve had for the price. Great service and beautiful atmosphere though!
We sat outside on the patio which is absolutely gorgeous. My pasta was good, although not great. It needed some flavor! However, my friends raved about their meals. One ordered the chicken salad and the other ordered the walleye. Oh well, I'll have to go back and try something else!
We just had the Mother's Day brunch with salmon dinner and ribs. It was wonderful. The Hungarian soup was delicious. Getting ready to enjoy the cheese cake. This is my favorite dinner! Thank you for making my Mother's Day special during these trying times.
We eat here every spring when visiting Breezy Point. It's a nice night out, decent wine selection and usually one or two craft beers on tap. Classic dinner menu with steaks, pasta, seafood. I haven't had a bad meal here in the 5 or 6 times visiting. I have a daughter with Celiac and greatly appreciate their gluten-free options and preparation.
Everything was delicious except for the Antler board. Don't waste your money on that one.
Similar to many other reviews... Great ambiance, mediocre food & service. Two telephones ringing constantly & loud television at the bar was distracting over piped music. Crabcake starter was recommended. They were out if it.
4 very small scallops for $36. Came with potato and vegetables but, still incredibly small portion for the price. Flavor was fair. Good service. Was not asked if we would like a dessert. Only 1 of 2 tables in the place.
Classic country club. Sub par food at a wildly high cost, portions were tiny, platting was all over the place, food was not cooked as requested. Beef bourguignon was underwhelming and lacked flavor, quality beef was very poor as well. I could go on and on but would avoid unless you want to spend some serious cash after a round of golf.
Food was excellent. Had the ribeye along with some very tasty appetizers. The entire menu is overpriced, so plan on a large bill. The atmosphere was great, the waitress was great, and the bartender treated us like we were children.
The patio atmosphere was great. The food presentation was nice but the food was not worth the price we paid. The sides should be included in the entree, not paying extra for shared sides. We would not go back and eat there again.
After being impressed by the no-frills charm of the Dockside at Breezy Point, my partner and I decided to make a reservation at Antlers. Unfortunately, the white tablecloths and golf course views can’t disguise the unseasoned, subpar food being served at this establishment. Let’s start with the complementary bread. One of the rolls was tough and hard to cut, because it had clearly been microwaved too long when it was being warmed up. The flavor of the pumpernickel bread was pretty solid, but the texture of that one roll threw me off. We were excited to try the bruschetta, because my partner works in the cheese industry, and we were hoping for fresh cheese and tomatoes, as well as house-made pesto. The tomatoes tasted like they were canned, the pesto tasted like pesto from a jar, and the balsamic was too sweet. The bread was soft and fresh, and it was the only good part of the dish. My entree was the biggest disappointment of the meal. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo. The pasta was very soft and clearly over cooked. The sauce didn’t appear to be seasoned at all and only tasted like butter to me. I’m sure the cheese was there, but I couldn’t taste it. Dining at Atlers costs a pretty penny, and the quality of the food doesn’t match the prices on the menu, or the elegance of the dining room. The biggest redeeming factor was the service. Our server was very attentive throughout the meal. I just wish the food were better.
What I liked about Antlers: great service, the bread used in the bruschetta, that they gave me a pickle upon request. The rest of the meal was underwhelming to bad. Decor: gauche. Music: classical covers of pop songs. The bruschetta featured canned tomatoes, jarred pesto, and an overbearing portion of a balsamic reduction that tasted bitter and too sweet all at once. My partner's fettuccine alfredo showcased comically overcooked pasta drowning in a vaguely dairy flavored soup. I had the walleye sandwich, which featured a beautiful fillet with a partially crispy and partially soggy fried exterior. It was served on an untoasted and not particularly fresh tasting bun next to wildly floppy french fries. The sandwich is advertised as coming with tomato, onion, spinach, and tartar. No onion was on it and the spinach was wilty and sad. Not my fav meal, and I would recommend against eating here.
I rate the service a 5, had a great waiter from Jamaica. I rate the food 2 stars. I had the chicken saltimbacco- with gnocchi. Plain old chicken breast no sauce on pasta??? My husband had the chicken and ribs- again a plain chicken breast?????
It was pretty sad when all 4 of us got green beans on our dinner plates and my husband got 5, I got 3, my brother in law got 2 and my sister in law got about 15! The garlic mashed potatoes were good but the food was way overpriced. Our server was "stuck up" like she was too good for us. I will not go back. Black Bear in Baxter is the place!
We were pretty disappointed with our experience. We were excited to go to Antlers for our last dinner of vacation, but the food was comparable to Applebees for a hefty price. It was lukewarm and low quality. No gluten free buns. Salad was frozen. They didn’t bring out table bread. Server didn’t know the menu well. Dockside and the Marina are way better food quality.
Went on a Tuesday night, not busy at all. Took 20 minutes before we even got asked for a drink. 55 minutes before our food came. Food was comparable to Applebee's but 2-3 times the cost. And not as good!!! Got Filets with nursing home vegetables (looked like canned green beans with some other veggoes) and a half baked potato (could barely mush it with my fork). Daughter got steak bites for an entree, they were on the appetizer menu and there were SIX tiny pieces (for $21 I think) the size of a grape. Extremely disappointing for trying to go to a nice dinner on vacation.
Overpriced food that ranged from mediocre to disapppinting. The $22 gnocchi was dry and crusty, nothing like typical gnocchi. The angel hair pasta was watery. Bruschetta looked better than it tasted. Portions are small for what you pay. The ambiance is nice though. Maybe just go there for drinks? I wouldn't recommend for a special occasion, or even a regular one.
Uffda.. Beautiful ambiance but sub-par food. I ordered the taverna pasta and onion rings and the pasta came out with very watery vegetables and less than desirable presentation (also why is an orange presented with onion rings?!). It seems the restaurant caters to an older clientle with less than discerning taste buds. However, the lobster tails looked very appealing so perhaps I ordered the wrong food--albeit everything seems a bit overpriced.
Disappointing at best. The Sunday Brunch is similar to a Quality Inn breakfast. The only thing better is the plates and silverware are not plastic. This could be one of the highest quality restaurants in the area if some one would only care. We've tried it twice and will only go back in an emergency.
We ate here recently. The food was mediocre. For $19, you would expect a fresh bun with your hamburger, which was served in a paper tray. Fries were extra. The most disappointing part of the meal was overhearing the loud conversation at the bar, which included very foul language, and I mean foul. At one point, someone asked an employee if they had been at the LA riots over the weekend, I guess assuming they were Hispanic? Very disappointing.
Picked up our order to eat back in room at breezy point. The appetizer scallops were old small and did not even smell like seafood. Trashed them. Gross. Twin lobster tails were so old and looked gray. Tasted horrid. I pulled off some meat and it was literally like a paste on my fingers. Disgusting!!!! What a let down. Never coming here again.
No good! I was there a few times last year and was great. I think they changed cooks this year. Not the same. I frequent northern Minnesota and the surrounding states and used to find this place a good stop. Now, I can cross this off my list of stops in the area. If I even return. I found the associated Breezy Point resort foul to my taste as well. Bad Managers with negative attitude.
Ate dinner and breakfast separate days here. Had the same server..pretty much waited on ourselves when there was only 4 other tables of 2. Not impressed. Food was excellent but received our salads THEN bread RIGHT before our maincourse for dinner. On Sunday for breakfast we had to tend to the buffet and request food to be cooked and filled ask for condiment and crafts of water and juice none of these offered by our server. Then ordered plain toast and waited 20 min as it sat in the window. Asked if the toast is done when our server replied she was waiting for the cook to make it ( trying to pass the buck) brought it 30 seconds later and it was rock hard. Would prefer just only to have the steak and lobster and no breakfast here.
Was refused service because our group was too big. Even though we did the same thing last year when we were in town for the polar plunge. We were told it’s their off season. Well if you’re slow I would think you would want to make money. It’s a sad day in the restaurant business when people are to lazy to work hard.
Service was slow… as soon as we walked in we were judged for having breezy wristbands on. We walked in knowing we would pay for a great meal and was looking forward to it. Unfortunately that was not the case. We walked to the bar to serve ourselves and bartender was a bit annoyed with that….? Meal came and was cold and tasteless. We were present when waiter asked how the meal was and he comped the food… which we appreciated. It was just an overall underwhelming experience.
Regretful & disappointing. We sacrificed & saved for a special 1st time over 50 ladies' weekend at Breezy Point looking forward to Antlers as a highlight. However 4 out of 7 meals were inedible. The tough ribs had sauce lacking flavor and 3 fettuccini alfredo meals tasted like noodles covered in half&half missing all the traditional flavors of this beloved dish. Our server did not circle back until we finally got her attention asking for parmesan as a way to doctor the meals which did not improve the taste. Very late in the dining experience the server offered to order something else but we were out of time. The server should have checked in much sooner and frequently and eventually taken the cost of these meals off our bill. The Antlers' responses to Google problem reviews shifts responsibility on customers to ask for management. I work hard for a living and recognize the majority of people working in restaurants are talented hard workers. I'm grateful. I tip well and all of my restaurant reviews are positive. When I dine out I expect and appreciate a great customer experience with great food and should not have to advocate for such. No one should have to. Even restaurant workers dine out and they deserve great food and customer service too. It is the responsibility of the serving staff to frequently circle back to check on customer experiences and remedy problems. We did not feel comfortable complaining, gave the server our feedback, and hoped the server would do more. Consider this review free coaching so the serving staff and chef do much better in the future.
Let me start this first by saying that the whole experience wasn't terrible. Food was excellent, restaurant was nice, clean and warm but the service that was provided by Melissa B was absolutely terrible. They were not very busy sat us right away, she took our order said she'd be right back with some bread as we wait for our main course. Minutes went by and before we know it here comes our meal. Gives us our meal and we never seen her since. Never came back to see how the first few bites were or nothing. Didn't even get a water refill. While she was nowhere to be found thankfully another coworker working in the same area seen we were low on water and refilled them for us. Once she arrived to check in on us as we were done all we got was a ohh good job cleaning your plate like were some sort of toddler. Absolutely disgusted with her customer service, and will never be back. Ever. Thanks Melissa.
Terrible. My parents got the soup&salad both served on same plate salad 4peices of wilted lettuce awful. I ordered the cranberry salad, a handful of wilted lettuce stale hard cranberries some shaved carrots Terrible dressing 18,00.mushroom soup tastey but no mushrooms, small serving less than a cup 😅. $8.00.will not go back there. Drinks very expensive and the waitress made them. No bartender. Terrible drinks. The place used to be good, but not anymore.
