Ok so if you're on a budget, walk across the parking lot to the sandwich aisle at Safeway. If you're in the mood for some great, down home Italian picnic food, this is your spot. Seriously, order anything on the menu, it's all good. Even the stuff your don't normally like.

I love going to Luchesi's, and my son (now 34) has loved it since his high school days. My favorite is their abundant vegetarian sandwich, but my family loves the turkey, bacon, avocado, a super favorite.

Obsessed with their sandwiches! Everything I've had is great just be sure to get it on the sourdough baguette. Fast and friendly service and a good workday lunch option if you call ahead.

Had to go over to the Gnu's Hog Ranch where Wilber Stimpickit breeds Wildebeest and Warthogs for a club in Texas, and drop off a Wigglypop Dowhopper that he'll be needing come spring when the Wildebeests drop their calves. He was so pleased to get the thing he bought me lunch! Only one place, he says is worth stopping at for a sandwich in Petaluma, and that's Lucchesi's Delicatessen. It's a 5 star joint, the best in Sonoma county, Petaluma for sure. ☆☆☆☆☆

We don't go on trips near lunch time without stopping and getting one to split on the way. I mean, if it means a few hours on the road, and, there's plenty of time before diner. I called to inform them and they sincerely apologized and made it right by offering me another sandwich on my next visit. A nice mom and pop place with the old school mom and pop morals. Mistakes happen plus they were super busy as it was lunch time. Although I had my heart set on eating the sandwich I ordered, the wrong one was super good. I also ordered the pesto cheese tortellini and that was delicious. I will definitely be a regular repeat customer.

One of the best delis in town. There is most often a line but it moves fast (five minutes). Ingredients are fresh, the bread is great and the people are pretty friendly. Its also very clean. Its a weekly lunch stop for our office.

They move pretty quickly and make a good sandwich. Good sized menu, great pesto. Its a little more expensive than I like a deli to be though. Try them out.

Good sandwiches overall, my $15 Roast Beef and cheese with peppers was hot, spicy, and tasty. It could've had a little bit more of that juicy, tender, succulent beef...but the soft sourdough baguette was fresh and warm. Seemed a pricy for what I got, but still satisfying. My local Petaluma friends love this place, I just like it. No inside seating, just a few tables outside. Folks were friendly enough.

Love that everything is so tasty and that they use sourdough rolls and baguettes instead of sliced sourdough bread. Pricey, but (imo) worth it. Double cheese adds $4 though. So glad they’re close by. Saves me from going to Castro Valley Lucas’ Deli.

I ordered a pastrami sandwich w havarti cheese, and a chicken w havarti, added two drinks, one tiny bag of chips and a 🍋 lemon bar. I don't know how it added up to $38.00. I got a receipt but it was not itemized. Did I pay for an extra sandwich? It was good, but not $16 good.

Went there recently and it’s a shell of what it use to be 15 dollars for a bologna sandwich and 2.50 for a can soda might as well just shut the place down

Ruben sandwich is one of my favorite things to order at any deli. I've ordered it a lot. This is the first time ordering it at this deli and it is the first time ever I've been served a Ruben with no pickle. For those who don't like pickles no big deal but I LOVE pickles and for me this was a big DILL.

Ruben sandwich is one of my favorite things to order at any deli. I've ordered it a lot. This is the first time ordering it at this deli and it is the first time ever I've been served a Ruben with no pickle. For those who don't like pickles no big deal but I LOVE pickles and for me this was a big DILL.

They should really get rid of the 5 dollar minimum on purchases. This practice isn't very appealing to first time customers. If you're just trying this place out, don't come in the morning. Its better as a lunch option since theres a 5 dollar minimum for card if you use your credit/debit card.

Call ahead to see if they are actually open. They were closed “due to staff shortage”. We drove a long way out of our way to get there, and we’re super hungry by the time we arrived. Maybe has good food etc. but we didn’t get to try anything.

GET A TOASTER! Was visiting the area and the coast for the weekend. Although the place looked really great and original, it just ended up being another run of the mill sandwich shop. I ordered the meatball sub and wanted it toasted, no toaster, was microwaved to heat up and melt cheese, my girlfriend got the pastrami with nothing but pastrami and cheese and it was microwaved. Needless to say once we got to the beach pastrami and bread were dry as hell, just what happens to it when it's microwaved.

Its super frustrating spending $73.00 on 4 sandwiches for lunch for my family, and the bread is stale. Every time I go I ask for soft bread and its stale. Jersey Mikes is cheaper, and no stale bread.

Went in about 3pm. Got 2 "Fresh made sandwiches " first sandwich wa super dry, I asked for extra mayo and mustard. Bread was definitely OLD! 2nd sandwich had all the meat was stacked in the Center of the sandwich. Asked for mustard... non FAIL! Oh, the beautiful deviled eggs NO FLAVOR! overall FAILURE in so many ways
