We go for lunch when we're in Tortona. The menu is varied, you can find everything, and it's very well-curated. The bread is excellent, and the focaccia and pizza are very good. The sandwiches are imaginative, and they'll accommodate any request. The aperitif is also great!

Unfortunately, we stopped for a quick snack. We still appreciated the prompt service and a truly well-filled XXL toastie. The place is intimate and welcoming. Recommended for a break with friends or as a couple.
We tried it for aperitif on a Saturday when the place was very crowded. The staff was really kind in finding us a seat and serving us promptly. The aperitif was very generous and very enjoyable. Recommended.
Ideal bar for both rich breakfasts and business lunches with high quality and rather refined dishes. However, the place offers the best in terms of aperitifs and aperitifs. In this context, L'idea is an institution in Tortona. Cocktails of all kinds and excellent quality food for all tastes. Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly management and staff. Prices appropriate to the offer.

Excellent bar and restaurant, highly recommended. Very fast service, a menu full of various first and second courses to choose from, all elaborate and rich in flavor, plus the inevitable desserts. Excellent prices: a first course is €5, a second course is €7. The portions are generous, and the quality of the dishes is excellent. The waiters are truly kind, friendly, pleasant, and serve quickly. The size of the place is average for a bar/restaurant.

Nice place. I often go for breakfast. The marocco is excellent! The Brioche are definitely among the best in Tortona, they have all types and for all tastes! I had an aperitif a couple of times and also in this case I had a great time. The place is always full of people! Recommended!

I find the place truly charming, the staff friendly and cheerful (which isn't always the case in Tortona). The cheese focaccia is excellent, and the coffee and croissants are good. Perfect for a lunch break that isn't always quick.
I'm not a regular, but the few times I've been there it's always been a pleasure. Excellent Moroccan. I only drink that. I've noticed that it's always very busy, so I assume they have quality products. Very kind and professional staff.
Aperitif very crowded and a bit chaotic. Since there was no place we were diverted to a nice barrel table. The only negative thing was the proximity to a really smelly manhole. Good food provided. Kind and helpful staff (obviously a bit stressed). Reasonable prices.
I've only been there once for a simple aperitivo with a spritz. They brought us two lovely plates of appetizers, mostly fried, which weren't bad at all. I think I'll go back to try their lunch specials.

Friday, September 1, 2023, around 10:00 PM. We ordered three cocktails, all of which arrived grossly incorrect. Such mistakes included the Americano, which arrived with the obvious wrong ingredients—no ice (room temperature), no soda water, no garnish. Or the Moscow Mule, made with just ginger beer. Most of them were left on the table, but no staff bothered to check why. Why three stars? Because in the past, the aperitifs were good and well-made. So, I assume I stumbled upon an evening without capable staff, and the girl at the tables brought our glasses before they had finished mixing them at the bar.
A prosecco, a Negroni and a small plate with two appetizers without crisps, without two peanuts, without anything else, €21. Don't go!!!
It was originally a nice, well-run place, but with each change of management, it got worse and worse. Today, after years without any maintenance, it's poorly maintained, messy, dirty, and with filthy restrooms, with no toilet paper, a broken soap dispenser, and paper in the only sink. On the other hand, the prices are higher than those of excellent city bakeries. To forget!!!!!!!
