My brother and sister in law live in pinar de campoverde, and the portobello bar is an local of theirs and each year we visit them we go in , always a great Irish welcome from Jonny and louise, great food and a great atmosphere.

We had the best fish and chips ever tonight, even in the UK. The ladies working tonight were a credit to themselves. It was busy so there was a fairly long wait but well worth it. An absolute pleasure as far as we are concerned. Thank you.

We went today for Sunday lunch food was lovely, really well cooked and served with nice fresh veg. The staff are so welcoming and attentive but not intrusive. Def recommend and the prices are extremely.reasonable especially for such good quality

John Louise and staff have been running their place around 15 plus years. Kept going with deliveries through covid too. Great food and service. Lovely friendly place. Our visitors always want to go there - highly recommended.

Last night we had a party and John and Louise organised the food for us. It was excellent, beautifully cooked, and packed to bring back to the house. The timing was first class and it was a wonderful way to cater for a large number. I thoroughly recommend the Portobello to everyone, to eat in or take out. Thank you to all the staff who made our night a huge success. We will be back. X x 🐻🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈

Breakfast is first class staff are helpful and speak several languages prices are reasonable food all freshly cooked in a small well equipped and clean kitchen... highly recommend especially the breakfast

What can l say, draught Guinness honest English food helpful staff. A touch of home, almost. Thumbs up from me.

The gammon was perfect, my wife's chicken was full of grissle.

Pool table is a little on the old side, but friendly staff and good food more than make up for this

Breakfast on the terrace was lovely

A friendly pub with a cool Guinness on the menu and a good selection of pub grub, the quality of which has improved over the last few months. Plenty of seating inside and out with parking in the road nearby. Can sometimes be noisy in the bar area.

Leider nur englische Karte und auch das Essen sehr mittelmäßig - Englisch halt - nette Kellnerin, die zum Glück Spanisch sprach

Disappointed at reduced card. Also scampy chips and coleslaw, was greasy. Service involved "waitress" who has a habit of ignoring me.

Sunday lunch was surprisingly not great although desserts are always delish

Food good but some staff unfriendly and not to be trusted x

Overpriced, underwhelming, lacking atmosphere, no finesse, no service, no wonder we won't be back. Walked in, not acknowledged for ten minutes and had to seek attention. Very limited pricey menu, in a lacklustre environment brought by less than interested staff. Food was not up to standard despite price tag. There are much better options around where people offer better quality, better (or some) service and much better value for money.

Veggie burger was completely tasteless. Chips were massive and tasteless. Beans were nice. Decaff coffee from a sachet. 1.50€, retail for nothing, not strong enough to flavour the massive mug of hot water. Service was good though.
