My friend says "you gotta try this place, it's in Plano". I'm thinking maybe not since he's had a few misses. He catches me one day for lunch and take the offer to try The Latin Pig. We pull up and from the outside I can see it's not a big place. This is starting to get exciting. We walk in and I like the look and feel of the place. I'm now starting to regret not coming here last time he offered. I watch as the staff brings out plates to other guests and I'm super impressed. I'm starting to have menu anxiety. Menu anxiety: when you see so much yummy stuff, you don't know what to order from the menu. The waiter is pretty fast on taking our drink orders and gets the back pretty fast. I'm so busy watching the food the other customers are eating that I didn't even look at the menu. My buddy Dan orders a Cubano sandwich and orders it Floridian style. Rather than deal with my menu anxiety, I order the same. He suggests we split a fry, I reluctantly agreed since I love fries and hate to share. The food is out pretty fast and sat in front of us with fries. I realize now it was a good decision to split a fry. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!! This food looks good!! I take my first bite. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!! This is not a sandwich, this is a SAMMICH!!! and a good SAMMICH at that!! LOL I'm eating my food contemplating my next visit and what I will order. So to break it down for you. The place looks also, it has a very Cuban feel to it. I've never been to cuba, but I've seen movies and have a good imagination. The service is A+, the feel is A+ and the food in incredible. It is their promise to consistently deliver quality dishes and awesome customer service, while dining in authentic Havana 1950's décor, and they deliver 100%. Bravo Latin Pig, I'm a new regular customer!

We have had food from the Latin Pig several times in the last few years. Great food tonight, had the Mofongo, Chicharron and Fried Yuca, and Vanilla Flan. All delicious and the perfect temperature after a twenty minute drive home. Love the atmosphere and friendly service!

9/10 The ambiance was set perfectly with pictures, paintings, and other Cuban elements. The food was delicious and was brought out very quickly, despite the restaurant being full of guests. The host was friendly, informative, and set a welcoming tone. We ordered the Cubano, which was perfectly balanced with the ideal amounts of each signature ingredient, Yucca Frita, which was carefully finished with flaky salt, Tostones Rellenos, which were served in a pair and the plantain cups were delicately flaky and carrying a rather large serving of tender delicious brisket, Guandules (yellow rice) which was cooked with pigeon peas and sofrito which gave it much more flavor than plain rice. I would reccomended all of the dishes, but the Cubano and the Tostones Rellenos stood out for sure. I doubt you could go wrong ordering anything here, though! We will definitely be back to try more dishes and leave room for desserts next time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently dined at The Latin Pig, Cuban Cuisine, and it was an incredible experience that transported me straight to Cuba! For starters, the Arroz Congri was perfectly seasoned, combining black beans and rice in a delightful harmony of flavors. The Arroz con Gandules was equally impressive, bursting with the rich, savory taste of pigeon peas that paired wonderfully with the tender rice. The main dishes were the stars of the show! The Ropa Vieja was stunning—slow-cooked beef with vibrant spices that practically melted in my mouth. The Picadillo offered a comforting blend of ground beef, olives, and spices. The Fried Plantain just how it’s supposed to be cooked, and for the sweet tooth the Coconut Flan and Vanilla Flan, creamy and sweet! And to top it off, the service, warm and welcoming! I could’ve given 50 stars if I could!!!

Omg!!!! talk about authentic cuban cafe!! My husband and I have recently moved to the Plano area and he had been craving a cuban sandwich, well I found this little cafe on google and the food was outstanding!!! he had the cuban sandwich of course, I had a ropa vieja sandwich with side of sauce, with a side of fried yucca with sauce!!! Delicious, please stop by and support your local small businesses when you get a chance!

This place was awesome! We got the cuban sandwich, Pork Lechon, the Tostones Rellenos, and the cafecitos. Everything was incredible, came out quickly, and was cooked to perfection. The meat was all so tender and juicy, the flavors of both types of rice were delicious! We will definitely be back here! The coffee is so good we had to go for seconds on it - don’t miss this place!

The food is always wonderful. We were sad when the pasteles were removed from their menu, but that's ok as we know how labor intensive they are to make. Our only concern is the ever increasing prices (refer to the price on the Oxtails). We have been patrons of both this original location since they opened back in 2012 or 2013? and when they had their location in the Colony, we frequented that location as well. The flavor is always on point. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

The food is always good here. The mofongo chicken was delicious and can never go wrong with the pork.

We got the fritanga meal to split between two people. Says feeds 2-4 but seems more like a 2 person, although we were both full and had to walk it off. Next time id get the lechon over the chicharron just because the lechon was seasoned and cooked so well and chicarron was so crispy; both still good! The tostones were perfectly cooked and salted. Good with both the garlic lime and hot sauce. Small space so not a great place for a big crowd but quality food! Will be back!

My husband's from Miami, so we wanted to try this place out because there are not many Cuban spots in the area. The food did not disappoint it was very good and reminded us of back home. I got the sampler, and the only item on there that could have been without was the ground beef. We also had the chicharones as appetizers, and they were Itty bitty, not the usual larger size but it was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. My husband had the oxtail stew, and it was so good that we saved and took home the gravy left over. It's a small restaurant so it can get packed. The staff is really great food came out surprisingly quick. Will come here again and recommend this place to all.

I ordered from Door Dash. They have perfected the to-go method. My food arrived piping hot and not sweating from condensation. They managed to avoid that with their packaging. Everything is flavorful, well seasoned and fresh. The plantains were a little scorched but they were still delicious. A great place to get some reasonably priced well portioned comfort food.

I've seen a lot good reviews about this place and that's why we decided to stop by. I always try to be fair when I write a review, specially if is a local restaurant. I was expecting more about this place. Maybe it was not the best day to try it. For me, the prices are high compared to the portions. We ordered a fritanga, thinking it was enough to share with my family and it wasn't. I understand that everything is more expensive now, but I was expecting more in general. But every person is different, maybe for you worth trying.

it was too expensive for the type of service you walk up to a counter where you feel unwelcome. The small restaurant is dirty. this restaurant has a lot of potential because of food was great but now I wonder about the kitchen.. It would be nice if someone would welcome you and tell you to take a seat wherever you like.

Not sure if this is the same place we went to years ago….maybe it’s a new owner? Last time it was more full service and clean. Our visit this time was not good. It was more run down and dirty inside. The prices were too high. The food was not good… too salty and quality of the ingredients was poor. I have spent most of my life working in the kitchens of restaurants so I do notice everything. The bread is supposed to be toasted but this was stale and sloppy. The fries were frozen and very salty.

Extremely uncomfortable experience. I was denied restroom access while picking up an Uber Eats order, then met with hostility and attitude during order verification. The treatment felt selective, dismissive, and intentionally unwelcoming. Professionalism and basic respect were clearly lacking. I would not recommend this place based on how I was treated. Shifting the blame stating that there was a “hassle” confirming the order is so not true. I would have no reason to create “hassle” to complete an order that was actually my 2 day doing Uber Eats. Confused about the request? Yes! “Hassle” big NO! This man is not friendly.
