i don’t know why this place has low ratings i love the food very nice people too
First time trying it and it was amazing. I never have liked egg rolls, but their egg rolls were amazing. I got general tso chicken that wasn't too spicy, I got my girls sweet and sour chicken and they loved it. Only thing I didn't like was their chicken fried rice, too many onions. But overall great place will definitely be going back!
I love this place, this place has the best Chinese food in town by a long shot. Owner if you seeing this, tell your employees hook their biggest supporter up whenever they see that General Tso + Pork Fried Rice + Crab Rangoon DoorDash order comes through 😩
Absolutely love this place, our go to for delivery! Had a small problem and they were super helpful and friendly. They quickly fixed it and kept apologizing.
Authentic Chinese food with great price and big portion. A lot of vegetarian choices. Hot and sour soupe, vegetarian Foo young egg ( omelette with lots of vegetables), vegetarian LO mien are great choices. Plats chinois authentics, prix bas, grosse portion. Il y a beaucoup de plats vegetariens. 很地道好吃,分量足,价钱很好。
The best Coconut Shrimp in the east coast hands down! We’ve eaten there a lot and were never disappointed by the food or the fast service. Not a lot of people eat there but there’s takeout/delivery orders every minute and our orders were still ready very fast. Keep up the good work!
I ordered the sesame tofu and broccoli. Delicious! They fry it a little too hard but good flavor. I ordered it three times while in town. Way better than the Jade place nearby. My dish was far healthier and had flavor! If I ever am back in town, I will order it again.
Ordered take out with my wife and got beef and broccoli as well as general tso with chicken friend rice. My issue with the meal is the friend chicken came unseasoned and ruined the taste of the rice. Overall the the food was ok and nothing special. Hopefully next time we order the food is properly season throughout.
Is there new owners? Food is not the same, I feel like the eggrolls are totally different and I typically order chicken in garlic sauce, very different than past. Very little chicken all veggies, used to be nice fresh broccoli. Seems not so fresh…😢
The bad: - Pork egg roll: super sus. Don’t order it. The grey/brown mush inside, definitely not edible. - The “fried” rice: actually just yellow tinted rice with possibly pieces of meat and/or vegetables…? The semi-not-bad: -Crab Rangoon: initially not good, but then I took a second bite and it was horrible. However, there’s minimal filling, so not really worth the $ The somewhat edible: - Pork lo mein: decent flavor, maybe a little on the bland side. And I’m definitely suspicious of the meat after seeing the pork egg roll… I don’t know that I would order here again.
Food was good...but the main reason i ever even at there, was due to the fact that they served something that none of the other choices in town had...shrimp toast...but they NO longer serve it. So, i no longer order from from there. It may seem silly that..is my reason but when u take into account that there are 2 other Chinese food options to chose from and that THIS place is the MOST expensive one...i would rather eat elsehwere and save momey but still get amazing food. Also, when i had went in to order the LAST time, the guy at the front counter wasnt the best or nicest..i had inquired about the shrimp toast and he was just like.."no nomore..no." Lol So...that is that...when there are 2 other options...one needs to have specialty itema the others dont, for folks to have a reason to chose them over the others. Lol
So my friend made an order through their online order, she ordered sesame chicken and 2 egg rolls and received sweet n sour and 1 egg roll instead.. and we called to see if we could get what she ordered and got an awful attitude from not 1 but 2 of the workers there.. I like the food but their service is horrible.
Food is alright, used to be way better. Last few times including tonight rice is undercooked and crunchy, pork fried rice had nothing in it and very bland. Egg rolls def do not taste good they are very soggy and just taste bad. Not sure if I will return sadly.
Grabbed an order of General Tso's chicken combination platter (C17) to go. I live only 10 minutes from the restaurant and I ate as soon as I got home. The rice was still almost hot but the chicken was cold, dried out, and tough. All I can assume is that they made a big batch of this ahead of time -- it's a popular dish -- and then reheated it (poorly). There is no way this was fresh. I used to love this place. No more, I won't be going back.
I ordered Lo mein , wonton soup, , boneless spare ribs. . We couldn’t even eat it. The wontons were mussy. The spare ribs were fatty. The Lo Mein was dry and the taste was horrible. I will never go back again.
I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. I’ve ordered from No.1 Chinese Restaurant many times in the past when visiting their town, but my recent experience was beyond disappointing. On a Thursday, I received undercooked BBQ pork chops and an egg drop wonton soup that was gluey. While the rest of the food was fine, I called the restaurant to address the issue. I spoke to the manager and customer service, explaining the situation and asking for a refund or credit. At first, they offered to remake the food, but I declined because I had already lost my appetite. Then, they told me I’d need to physically bring the food to the restaurant to prove the issue for a credit—even though the order was delivered, and I’d already paid for delivery and tipped the driver. After some back-and-forth, the manager reluctantly agreed to credit $8.80 for the pork chops but refused to credit me for the soup. I thought the issue was resolved until today. When I called to place a delivery order, I first asked if my $8.80 credit was in the system. The employee didn’t confirm it but instead tried to rush me into ordering. I asked a few questions about the tofu options because I wanted to confirm something I saw in a picture on their Google reviews, and while I know their menu well, I just wanted clarification. I could tell the employee was annoyed. Then, they hung up on me—twice! When I called back, another employee put me on hold for several minutes before finally answering my question. When it came time to place my order, they suddenly claimed there was a $40 minimum for delivery. This shocked me because I’ve ordered from them many times before, and the minimum has always been $15. Even with the credit applied, they insisted that I’d have to add more to meet this $40 delivery minimum. When I questioned this policy, the employee confirmed it was “four-zero,” $40, which made no sense. I’ve never had this issue before, so I canceled my order. I’m posting this review now because of today’s incident, even though I thought everything had been resolved earlier. This restaurant needs to seriously improve its customer service. Their employees are unhelpful, and the manager could definitely use more training in handling customer complaints. I’m extremely disappointed and won’t be ordering from here again.
Absolutely terrible. Ordered Hot and spicy beef it was hardly edible. The beef tasted musty and when i placed my order i asked what they put in theirs and was told scallions and peppers in a brown sauce. Not at all what i got. I got nothing but straight up onions and green bell pepper. No scallions,no hot peppers just a pile of onions and green bell peppers and about 5 little pieces of almost sandwich thin beef. The pig must have ran away when they were making the PORK fried rice because there wasn't an oink to be found. I've had better rice-a-roni. The rice was bland and tasteless. The egg roll i will say was ok. I ordered a small wonton soup and it was hardly even warm and i don't think it even had the meat filling in it whatever it was tasted sweet...that hit the trash too. I will say my Wife thought her General Tsao's chicken was ok, just ok. Her egg roll was decent too. She also said the crab rangoon wasn't the worst she has ever had. All in all this meal was terrible and of course they offered nothing to help fix the problem other than being told by the lady that called herself the manager that she would make sure the young lady that took my order would be educated on the menu more. Great! But that didn't help me out tonight at all. Such a poor excuse for Chinese food. Avoid unless there is absolutely no other restaurants or convenient stores open in town and you just have to get something to eat.
Was excited to try as it is my birthday and that’s what I decided on for lunch. Was ready quickly, which should have been a sign considering I ordered pretty much as soon as they opened. Everything was so bland. No taste in the dumplings, veg lo mein, even the sesame chicken was tasteless and so dry. To have spent $31 and have to throw it all away pretty much was pretty disheartening. Hate to say it but even the crab Rangoons were awful.
Got food here the sauce tasted like water and the beef was grey! The fried rice was disgusting with no veggies and only little bites of the red colored pork spare ribs. I wouldn't feed this food to my enemy.
Unfortunately the sesame chicken (white meat) was inedible. The chicken were smaller cuts, super dry and stringy. It was like beef jerky, most of the pieces I spit out. Just super disappointed since normally they’re good. Might try to go bring it back as I couldn’t eat any of it. It looks ok but if I could post a video you would see what I mean. 😕 If i decide to drive back and the service is good and I get a refund I’ll update the review…
So disgraceful the food was 0 STARS THE SERVICE 0, the pork fried rice dry undercooked, the pork lo mein dry no flavor very bland not oriental flavor, because it’s CHINESE FOOD after all. The whole thing GARBAGE WASTE OF MONEY! A burnt shrimp egg roll full of grease! Dumplings terrible disgusting! Hard pieces almost broke my tooth! Sesame chicken! No chicken to be found! Total disappointment after a long day of work buying dinner for my family. And as I left I grabbed extra duck sauce because my 6 kids my husband and myself love extra duck sauce and I turned around to go to the car to get my son carry out the box of food, AND THE CHINESE LADY LITERALLY WENT IN MY BOUGHT ALREADY FOOD $106.23 cents AND TOOK MY DUCK SAUCES OUT!!! I WAS IN COMPLETE SHOCK! I CANT EVEN REGISTER IN MY BRAIN THAT SHE HAD THE NERVE TO DO SUCH A THING! But hey I learned! I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED BY HER ACTIONS MORE THAN WHAT THE FOOD WAS….” GARBAGE “
