This bar became my favorite place to begin (and sometimes end) my nights in Playa, the drinks selection is great with low prices across the board. All of the staff are friendly, especially Chelsea and Danni (definitely spelt both names wrong). The owner is also a brilliant guy! There is Karaoke on a Wednesday and Saturday with other nights with offers in the week. The bar is a nice mix between locals and ex pats, I found myself always meeting someone new and interesting every night here. I cannot recommend this bar enough!

My wife and I visited this martini lounge twice during our vacation, and it quickly became our favorite spot. It's a nice dive bar with a great atmosphere. Both bartenders were awesome and made amazing drinks. Their mocha martini is one of the best I've ever had in my life. Highly recommend this place for a relaxed and enjoyable evening.

Es uno de los pocos Pub como tal en Playa del Carmen. Un ambiente totalmente americano/britanico. Un lugar donde encontrarás a mucha gente anglofona pero siendo latino te sentirás como en casa. Our favorite Thursday night hangout. Great atmosphere; Half price drinks for ladies and our friend Brent plays the Blues. Tried the Dirty Martini and almost fell off my barstool. Fun to hang out on the veranda with our chums and get a but tipsy. The evening temps are perfect and the gangs all here.

Tuesdays are 2 for 1 martinis. Cucumber martini and expresso martini were great! It's a fun place with lots of people both local and visiting to chat with.

Served good Martini's, which we liked. Approachable, come as you are vibe. Live music. Close to where we stayed. Would have liked the bartenders to be less shy and have acknowledged us sooner. But if you hang around a bit, you feel more welcomed.

Very fun place came for the buy one get one deal on Tuesdays very busy all day Just make sure if paying with card to watch the tip screen. Charged 170 pesos but $17 US dollar tip. He was not happy when I told him no. Went back up to order and the card reader was changed to Spanish. Again passed on the tip, gave it in cash pesos.

A no nonsense character bar for middle aged or retirement folks that call Playa home or are here for long periods of time.. good live music and bartenders have fun and sometimes drink on the job but it’s part of the bar’s character which I’m ok with as long as they walk , cab or get a ride home. Because of it the bill can be cheaper or more expensive 🤪 keep an eye but definitely check the place out!!

Great drinks, the classic dry martini was good. The 2 for 1 is great but look out if you order different drinks.. then you get 4, two of each haha :) it can get messy 😊

Place is nice and not too loud, was full of old retired people when we arrived, is definitely over priced compared to some other places and Martini cocktails were definitely not as good as they should be and they were pretty weak and not strong at all. I wouldn't recommend the Espresso Martini or the Dirty Martini, both were poor. An extra cocktail was added to our bill which no one ordered which caused a bit of awkwardness when we were paying as we were wondering why all of the money we put together didn't cover the total. Bartender is super friendly and helpful and there was live music on Friday night which started at 10pm.

I have heard from so many people living here now nine months say “Oh you gotta go here. Huge ex-pats hang out.” Great martinis. Well I get the chance. walking by the other night so I went there. Water down drinks. Let me tell you my drink is a Hendrix gin, dirty martini straight up. It was watered down. I usually have one of those and I am buzzing or should be. I had two and I was fine. Very disappointing. Spoke with my other five friends who said the same thing. Very water down drinks. This place is a rip off. Too bad because I thought the atmosphere was cool the live music was cool just overall cool kind of bar. The people seem to be having a lot of fun. But I couldn’t taste the alcohol. Well, I’ll be back. Hell no. I’ll just buy my own bottle of Hendricks and make my own martini.

IF YOU ARE A TOURIST, DO NOT VISIT THIS BAR!!! (LOCALS ONLY) We walked by and thought it might be fun (Saturday night June 10th). My wife loves Martini's and she is a great singer, and they happen to be doing karaoke. Great fit right??? Upon entering, trying to order, and her signing up for her turn at karaoke. She was passed over by the local singers and the owner that takes his turn whenever he wants. When we questioned when her turn would be, we were told by the karaoke M/C that it was her mic and she picked who she wanted to sing. I was then told by a couple of others (locals and tourists) that it was local a bar and that's the way it is. It is difficult to get a drink as the bar is small and the owner sits at the bar with his friends (locals). We read some good reviews about this place on Tuesday's and Thursday's, so maybe we went on the wrong day. The weekends are for locals only. We took our tourists money elsewhere. Good luck getting a drink if your a tourist.

Lido Beach Club & Zenzi Beach Club are right across the street, have a great view of the Sea, with far better staff. Go to Lido or Zenzi - AVOID AVOID AVOID Dirty Martini.

This place should be called the "Planet of the Vapes"! Never seen so many people vaping in my life. They were actively encouraged by the host even though vaping indoors is illegal in Quintana Roo. Never going back there.

The bartenders and the DJ are incredible and super fun. I wish I could give this bar five stars because they make good drinks and it is a fun vibe. However, the owner Brian is extremely creepy. When I was there with my friends he kept grabbing their butts and touching them inappropriately.

Muy mal servicio. Ayer fui con unas amigas a tomar copas y íbamos pagando según consumíamos. Pedí 3 shots de tequila,los cuales pagué al instante para invitar a mis dos amigas y que ellas no pagaran. Al rato el camarero me insistía en que no había pagado. Le pedí que me enseñara las cámaras pero se pusieron muy groseros y violentos. No checaron las cámaras y nos insultaron y gritaron. Nunca me habían tratado tan mal en un sitio. El peor servicio!!!

Entré con mis amigos a este bar y mientras ellos estaban yendo a sentarse yo me dirigía al baño cuando una empleada me frenó el paso y me dijo que era sólo para clientes, a lo que contesté que nosotros íbamos a consumir y ella me respondió “no, no van a consumir”. Claro que nos fuimos inmediatamente de un lugar que nos recibe de esa manera. Un asco como fuimos tratados.

Buyer Beware!! My daughters were charged a 200% tip, "by accident", but The Dirty Martini only acknowledged the extra charge after it was brought to the bar tender's attention. How does a $65 USD bill for 2 drinks not get noticed by the bar tender? A portion of the overcharge was returned in cash, but a receipt of the original charge and a receipt for the refund was not offered by The Dirty Martini. I later went to the bar to receive a receipt and the remainder of the overcharge. The bar tender did not have an explanation for how a 200% tip was entered, processed, and charged to the account or how a receipt was not offered. The Dirty Martini refunded an additional 100 pesos cash to me, they did not have a receipt to give me, and we still don't know how much money was exchanged for the 2 drinks. We only have a bank record of the original charge that includes the 200% tip. The Dirty Martini plays dirty as this was no accident. They know what they were trying to get away with, they have done it before, and they will do it again. During a previous visit, The Dirty Martini appeared to be a fun, dingy little place, but the drinks are mediocre across the menu. The Cadillac Margarita was a glass of syrup water with no hint of alcohol, and this is just one specific example of many where a premium mixed drink was not a mixed drink at all. Some of the martinis are okay, but if you order a martini with an ingredient besides alcohol, that is all you will taste... juice. The Cosmopolitan Martini was a glass of cranberry juice; it was disappointing. There are so many other establishments in Playa that will provide honest service so do not visit The Dirty Martini.

Avoid this bar in Playa del Carmen – terrible customer service! On my second visit, I had an awful experience with a bartender named Daniela. The bar was packed, and I was sitting at the far corner trying to get service. There was a bell in front of me, and since I had seen someone ring it earlier (without knowing what it meant), I rang it too, assuming it might help get attention. Apparently, ringing the bell means you're buying 10 shots. I was completely unaware of this, and when I tried to explain that it was a genuine mistake, the bartender was incredibly rude and dismissive. I was told I had to pay and then asked to leave — along with my friend, who had nothing to do with the situation. To make matters worse, she then asked if I was going to leave a tip after treating me so poorly. I was shocked. There was supposedly a sign explaining the bell, but it was behind me — nowhere visible. It’s completely unreasonable to place a bell in reach of customers (many of whom are tourists) and expect everyone to automatically know the rule. There was no warning, no understanding, and no courtesy for a first-time mistake. I’ve never been treated like this at any bar. As someone who works in a profession centered on fairness and compassion, this experience was a huge disappointment. I will not be returning and will be advising others to stay far away from this place.

The only reason this place gets a 1 star is because at some point this was a fun and welcoming place to go. My husband and I travel quite a bit to Playa and this was always one of our bars on our list. Not anymore. I will say that the veteran bar tenders still uphold professionalism and great service. We were overcharged for beers, the new bar tenders were rude-rolling their eyes when taking our order and taking half empty bottles without asking if we were done. On top of the rudeness, as we were closing our tab and a new bar tender who had not served us demanded we tip her as we were paying. We always tip but most definitely want the person who serviced us gets it. If you are going to go, NEVER leaver your tab open, pay in pesos, and ALWAYS double check your receipts! Also, if you look like a local or not “touristy” enough get ready to get poor overcharged service. Don’t spend your money or time here-try out #losttiki a much more comfortable, great vibe, high quality service if you are going to spend your money in Playa.
