This is a favorite and to go to spot. Absolutely spot on ambience looking up at the trees and sometimes even seeing the rain falling down. DJs are locked in and obviously passionate about what they do.

Great drinks / staff / prices, and the decor is my favourite out of all the bars in Playa. Was surprised it was so empty considering how great it is, but the music was absolutely blasting and didn’t really fit the vibe, which might’ve been causing people to leave early / not enter in the first place

Onyx bar is a fantastic spot with an amazing atmosphere! The decor creates a vibrant vibe, perfect for a night out. The bartenders are friendly, attentive, and incredibly fast, serving up impressive, massive drinks that are worth every pesos. Overall, it’s a great experience with great service and a fun ambiance.

We didn’t try the food, fuimos por la noche. La música es mostly Reguetón, it is FUN and the beer prices are very good!! It gets busy and even tho the service is very good. If you like reguetón this is the place to go!!

We absolutely made great memories here and Daniel is amazing to watch making cocktails on a busy night. We were at the hotel across the street and it changed our holiday. Don't stay on 5th Ave if you don't want a party

Great bar to come and enjoy local bands playing music live! It has a nice stage with pretty good lightning. I ordered a clericot drink which tasted great!

Thursday Reggae and Dancehall starts at 9:30-10. Good music. Went again on 7/22 and the bar was super full. The DJ this time was really good. Will return.

We really liked this bar. Yes the music is loud but it was a fun environment. Very jungly and half the bar is technically exposed to the outside. They had 2 for 1 drink specials. I had the Moscow mule with mezcal and I swear they used real ginger. It was delicious and fairly priced.

This place is amazing! I am traveling with my family. Mom, wife, and our two boys 4 and 3. Our Airbnb is right across the street and we sit outside and listen to the great music all night. Kids sleep right through it. It's even better to visit. Live music with a seriously amazing atmosphere. The wings are solid and the cocktails are good. All the people saying it's disrespectful need to loosen up and remember where they are.

Very nice chill techno/house music and the place looks amazing, really has a vibe to it. Kinda dead the few times we went though and drinks aren’t the cheapest (but normal prices for central Playa)

My favorite 4 star bar in PDC. With a rustic interior and below deck for music or grooves, I absolutely love their refreshing margarita and gin basil smash. Every time I come to PDC I have to visit! I love their animations projected on their blank wall which makes me feel like I can doze off and look at it if I’m feeling like disassociating. Come as you are. I would rate it 5 stars, but what makes it so perfect is how realistic it is. Don’t come here expecting (not that you cant!), and you’ll leave with an experience you were meant to have!!! VISIT!!!!!

Place for live music. But on Independence Day they ran out of beer?!?! And we find this out after waiting on 15 minutes in the bar line. Seems pretty ill prepared. But I was there on another day and it was a nice vibe.

Drinks were hit or miss, dj made the track literally screech a few times, the rats running along the walls... staff was pretty nice and the dj once he got his equipment sorted played some pretty sweet jams. Apparently you'd better tip or the waitress will come after you

No se si sea la primera vez pero a mi amiga y a mi nos robaron, la propia novia del dj que estaba tocando, y se me hace una falta de respeto que tengan gente que sea ratera, por suerte recuperé mi celular porque los chicos del bar me ayudaron pero no siempre será el caso, una pena que pase eso

Tengan cuidado al pagar cuentas con tarjeta, el mesero te hace doble cargo, me gustaba frecuentar el lugar por el ambiente los fines por la noche. Nunca más rateros

I'm staying at the hotel on the same street from Friday (it's Saturday at 3:00 am now), and I couldn't sleep until this bar is closed around 2:30 am and the excited screaming people are going away after 3 am...😂 The bar ruins my days at Playa Del Carmen, preventing sleeping and waking up in the morning for activities. I supposed it was because of the high season weekend, but I was disappointed with the other reviews on Google Maps. Is this going on 7ds a week!? It's better to reconsider staying around them for your vacation to chill and relax. I like my hotel, but I'll ask them to see if I could cancel the rest of my stay and change the accommodation...

I am utterly appalled and compelled to warn others after witnessing a horrifying incident at this bar. A tourist was brutally attacked by the staff, resulting in him tragically losing his left eye. The violence was unprovoked, initiated by a staff member with a vicious first punch. This place is not just unsafe; it’s a danger to its patrons. The billing practices are equally scandalous, with rampant overcharging. The management preys on tourists, showing a disdainful and predatory attitude. This bar is a complete disgrace, especially for women and visitors to the area. I implore everyone to avoid this establishment at all costs for their safety and well-being.

This place is actually a nice bar, but the music they play by night is horrible. Probably one of the reasons why not many people go there. It’s not possible to have a nice conversation while drinking a beer. The bass is way to heavy and so the music is not sound nice at all. Also for the Appartements around it is more than disrespectful. I get it on the weekend for partying, but during the week?!

Blaring loud metal music from 7pm until 2am every night right next to apartment buildings? Totally disrespectful. The bass travels through our apartment building making it impossible to sleep. This has ruined our holiday and the staff don’t seem to care. Worse yet, their bar has maybe 5-10 people inside. What is the point of playing such loud music if nobody even goes?
