Fantastisches Restaurant mit toller Atmosphäre! Ich kann es nur empfehlen. Das Essen hat eine super hochwertige Qualität und schmeckt Wahnsinn. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Die Cocktails an der Bar sind ebenfalls sehr lecker. Das Restaurant ist direkt am Meer und sehr schön beleuchtet.

We took the ferry to Cozumel just to try out this restaurant, and we did not regret it at all, their food is amazing, and the servers are super nice and patient, worth a visit from anywhere in the Riviera Maya.. they also have an outdoor porch with a beautiful view right on top of the ocean, but in middle of the day it's super hot, so you can get a similar view with sitting next to the window indoors..

Amo el restaurante Fuego dentro del resort Mahenkal en playa del Carmen. Todo es exquisito recomiendo el pulpo del menú del mediodía. Voy todas las noches en mis vacaciones desde hace 4 años. Los mozos son increíbles, en especial Brian Salinas. Un camarero argentino que se desvive por atender de manera eficiente, eficaz y cordial sus meses. Gracias a todos

Sencillamente excepcional, deliciosa comida, postres y variedad de café. Recomiendo empanadas de espinacas con champiñones, ensalada de kale, ribe eye, soufle de papa y para sellar con broche de oro... Volcán de chocolate y café maya. Todo es una explosión de placeres. Un organismo gastronómico 👌

A hidden jewel this restaurant with lovely location ocean front, waves are the music during your lunch or dinner, great food everything made from scratch cook on the grill blow our mind! Just truly food flavor & respect for the ingredients seasoned perfectly, seafood calzone with arrabiata was a suprise full of flavor tomato & fresh ingredients,pulpo maya was my favorite, also lobster tail,mushroom risotto all cooked to perfection & for dessert we ask the marquesita & chocolate volcano with cinnamon home made ice cream omg! Was amazing couldn’t believe this kitchen level is in playa del Carmen, inside the Mahekal Hotel from now on our favorite! Awesome food & service we had an unforgettable dinner thank you!

Chef Naray has some fun and creative dishes. I ate several meals here during my stay. The "Huevo Cato" for breakfast (and avocado topped with an egg and some sauce was great. The omelettes are delicious. Fruit plate is refreshing. The arrachera was tender and flavorful for dinner. Shrimp tacos overflowing with shrimp. All the wood fired pizzas I had was delicious. Nice wine selections too and a well stocked full bar. I wanted a caesar salad one night that wasnt on the menu...and it came and was beautiful and tasted fresh and perfect.

This is a gem of a place. It's part of the Mahekal resort which if you walk through their grounds are so gorgeous. The grounds are kept beautifully. We ordered pina colada which doesn't seem like much but it was exceptionally done. We also ordered guacamole and fuego ceviche. It came out with a complimentary ham dip with toast and chips.

Some of the best meals I had when visiting Mexico were right here at the Fuego restaurant which is in the resort we stayed at. Service was top notch and the food was pretty amazing. It can be a bit pricey but most of the meals we had here were well worth it. Some of the tables are set right along the restaurant edge which has a clear view of the ocean so you can eat a nice breakfast the sun rising for a view.

Un lugar muy agradable a la orilla del mar, en donde se come muy bien. El mesero nos atendió de maravilla. Una lástima que contraste con la dificultad para entrar al lugar y lo prepotente del capitán.

Ate here on our last night staying in Playa del Carmen and food was delicious- unfortunately there was a mix up with reserving via OpenTable (reserved for 9:30pm but last seating at 9pm) however the restaurant was very accommodating and still allowed us to sit and order - was extremely appreciated and food was so good despite the mix-up. Very accommodating with allergies I have celiac and had no issues. I do hope the restaurant will update their available seating times in OpenTable to avoid future confusion with others

Decided after years of being so close and yet never visiting nor going to the several restaurants that are within this resort. The resort itself is very nice and well maintained. Fuego has an amazing view of the ocean. The food is decent, octopus was saturated in canola oil, so it wasn’t wow. I’d go back for the beautiful scenery and vibe but I’d order something different.

Aug 2019 trip. My fish was dry but my wife taco shrimp was delicious. We had 3 bottle of water and cost was around $20 twenty. Kinda of expensive for water.

Started off kind of shaky because front desk couldn’t find my reservation even though I made it through open table several days prior - they did not have my reservation at all - had to show them open table email in order to get seated. I had also tried to call restaurant several times and was unable to reach them - this was disappointing because I wanted to see if they could help me plan a proposal for my girlfriend . This is why I gave the overall rating. However once sat, we were assigned Roberto and he was top notch. Very attentive and helpful - excellent in every way. Once I told him what happened , told about the proposal he said not to worry he took it upon himself to help me plan a beautiful proposal post dinner he absolutely saved the day!!! Services deserves 10 stars ! Btw, She said yes!

Based on mixed reviews, my husband and I decided to check this place out for lunch before we came for dinner. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The view was pretty awesome, but that included families with crying babies... The service was excellent. The food was only ok, and definetely not worth the price. It caters to resort guests more than the outside visitors for sure. There are sooooo many more amazing places to choose from for dining whole in PDC 🤷🏼‍♀️

Food was very bland, my side was wrong and when the correct was brought it was cold. The empanadas lacked seasoning and the cheese was very bland, no flavour. My grouper was also bland it had no seasoning at all. However the lobster was good, although I have not tried it myself. The cheesecake was a little tough, I was expecting creamier consistency. The service was great and wonderful atmosphere. You have to book and leave id on front desk, but my booking wasn’t even recorded. It was my fiancés 30th birthday and our reservation wasn’t on the list but after I’ve shown the hostess the email confirmation we were sat down… however no special dessert or anything was served and we’ve paid for a three course meal. It was disappointing… I expected more for the price and I feel terrible because it was my fiancés 30th birthday that day, I wanted it to be special and it was below average. I was also supersized that I didn’t get a discount for my main because I didn’t even eat my sides because they were brought cold and I said that to our server. That it’s cold and I can’t eat it, but still charged for it.

This was once a fantastic restaurant. Now, not so much. We got an overpriced 3-bite meal ($45 per person), which was extremely disappointing and inedible. A waiter didn’t ask why we didn’t eat more than a bite, but did ask about the tip.

Ho riflettuto a lungo se scrivere questa recensione. Abbiamo prenotato la cena del 25 dicembre come regalo di Natale, con grande entusiasmo, soprattutto perché la location ci aveva conquistati già a distanza di oltre 8.000 km. All’arrivo, però, l’esperienza è stata subito complicata: Google Maps indicava un ingresso, e quando siamo arrivati al cancello aperto siamo stati ripresi da una guardia in tono brusco, perché l’ingresso corretto era un altro. Abbiamo seguito le indicazioni, attraversando una reception dove nessuno ci ha chiesto le credenziali ma solo salutato. Arrivati nuovamente vicino all’ingresso secondario, la stessa guardia ci ha rimproverato verbalmente in maniera aggressiva, accusandoci di scherzare su questioni serie. Solo dopo l’intervento di un altro impiegato siamo stati finalmente accompagnati al ristorante. Purtroppo, questo episodio ha rovinato in parte il regalo e l’atmosfera della serata. Detto ciò, la cena è stata buona e i camerieri, in particolare Braian, sono stati molto cortesi e professionali, contribuendo a salvare l’esperienza. La location è splendida e merita di essere visitata, ma il trattamento riservato agli ospiti che non soggiornano nel resort lascia molto a desiderare. Spero che si sia trattato di un episodio isolato e non del comportamento standard verso gli ospiti esterni.

I hope I had the option to bring them 5 stars but very disappointed from the restaurant. We start with alarm system that was open for almost 15 minutes without stopping without someone tell us that they apologize or take care of that. The fish taco was very dry and they forgot all the drinks for the kids. The burger for the kids was dry also and when the customer ask from start without nothing you don't bring him that with cheese, Especially when you eat kosher and you explain it to the waiter, you don't take it back to the kitchen, remove the cheese and return it to the customer. (With signs of cheese on top) Not sure if we will bring them another chance even if we are gust of the hotel. Very bad experience.

The worst ever!!!! Do NOT GO HERE!!! We tried to go here tonight to have a special dinner with the family and friends. We had a child in the stroller who fell asleep in the stroller. The way to get to the restaurant as shown by Google was by a walk on the beach, which we did. It was not easy with the stroller, we were happy to get there until we were turned away by the guard who just said we cannot go there unless we stay in their hotel. We asked if he could check with the restaurant to see if we could go in. They looked at us and said No. unacceptable service. If they only accept hotel guests, they should say so on their website. La pizza mas cara y mala que comi en mi vida

No recomendable. Voy a un evento -preboda- y desde la entrada al hotel en el que se encuentra hasta la salida todo muy desagradable. Te dan una pulsera a la entrada del hotel, te retienen la documentación y te amenazan -que no informan- con pagar una noche de hotel si se te ocurre quedarte en el restaurante más allá de las 20:00. En el grupo hay una chica embarazada y los camareros la levantan de la silla porque está reservada a los clientes del hotel. Tiene que quedarse de pie a pesar de informar sobre su estado de gestación. A la salida, cola para entregar las pulseras y recuperar la documentación. Todos los invitados hablando pestes. Trato de restaurante piojoso en un hotel con ínfulas.

Muy mala la atención de la señorita Elisabeth. Me dispuse a ir al baño habiendo comido en el restaurante, y sin chequear absolutamente si era clienta o no, me miró de arriba a abajo con desprecio (iba bien vestida, tacones y un vestido elegante), señaló hacia la playa y me dijo: “sólo pueden usar los servicios del hotel los clientes, fuera” , (apuntando con el dedo la salida). Le indiqué que mi marido estaba esperándome en la mesa y que había comido… y me dice: “ok, pasa”. Cuando salgo del baño me acerco y le digo que esperaba al menos una disculpa, que trabajo cara al público hace años y que jamás trato así a alguien y que no permito que nadie que trabaje conmigo le hable así a ningún cliente. Simplemente me sonrió y me dijo: “ok”. Su mal trato y sus formas hicieron que tanto mi marido como yo nos quedásemos muy disgustados, no repetiremos experiencia ni lo recomendaremos, solo por ella.

La comida esta bien, pero el trato es tan pésimo que no lo recomiendo. Reservamos una mesa para 8 con vistas al mar. Cuando llegamos nos ponen junto a la cocina, y tras solicitar el cambio nos dicen que no hay mesas libres. Tras insistir nos dice el encargado que cuando dinero le pagaría al mesero para que me pusiera una mesa en la arena 😲 y después me dice que no me quiere poner en un sitio agradable porque si lo ha e nos alargaremos mucho y se quieren ir pronto a casa 🤯 Increíble! No lo recomiendo nada

One star. We had a reservation and adjusted the time in advance. Upon arrival, there was immediate confusion about which entrance we were supposed to use. Despite clearly stating multiple times that we had a reservation, we were repeatedly redirected, told to wait, or told to go elsewhere, with no clear guidance. Eventually we were allowed through, but no one assisted us with navigating the resort to actually reach the restaurant. It was dark, late, and the property is large. This was frustrating and unnecessary. When we finally arrived at the restaurant, there was no host or staff member available to greet or seat us. After being seated, service was noticeably delayed. We observed staff standing together, visibly discussing who would take our table, while multiple other tables were served ahead of us. We were not disruptive, loud, or inappropriate in any way. Water was not offered until we specifically requested it, despite seeing other tables receive service promptly. Even then, it required multiple interactions before water was finally brought to the table. Drink orders and appetizers arrived and were well prepared. However, the entrées were not. The octopus was extremely chewy and rubbery, and the scallops were inconsistently cooked, with some undercooked and others overcooked. We politely explained the issues and declined to eat the dishes. At that point, multiple staff members approached our table, and the interaction became uncomfortable. Our concerns were met with skepticism and dismissiveness rather than professionalism. Voices were raised, attention was drawn from the rest of the restaurant, and the situation escalated unnecessarily. We were simply trying to resolve the issue and leave. We asked several times for the check so we could pay and depart. There was no attempt to comp the food or avoid payment on our part; we wanted to close out and exit the situation. At checkout, we were required to retrieve our IDs from the front desk. When asked about our experience, we stated honestly that the service was poor and that we felt unwelcome. The restaurant itself is visually beautiful, but the service experience was deeply disappointing & uncomfortable. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant. *Especially people of color!

Before it was Great cuz it was open for breakfast and locals had a 20% off so it was a still expensive but you could have a buffet looking at the sea but now they moved their breakfast buffet to their other restaurant in the back and they took away the discount for locals, new management simply ruined it

Came here for lunch was treated very poorly. None of the staff payed any attention to us. Very dirty and had service. Staff is not trained at a high level and would definitely not come back. Much better high end resorts to stay at and this is not one of them. I recommend viceroy for a better experience and better beach. This hotel had no beach access and it always smelled like rotten fish. No bueno.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The food was decent but overpriced. Nothing wow. Playa has way more to offer. Didn't see the ocean as we had a late reservation. I didn't get any complimentary desert from the restaurant, assuming because I didn't stay at the hotel? Instead, they were busy cleaning and didn't care we were still there expecting something special. Only rushed to bring the check and kicked us out. Disappointed.
