Came in on Monday for discount margaritas, a burger and some US football. I was impressed by all 3. The margaritas were as inexpensive as advertised. The burger was FANTASTIC, and the place has more screens than a Best Buy. I’ve been coming to Charly’s since it was just a shack with cheap beer and tacos. But after a decade away, it’s safe to say the new owners are doing it right!

Funky dive bar vibe in a 2nd story perch surrounded by windows with semi obstructed ocean views. Lots of American accents. Good chips & salsa plus a creamy dip. They had tasty Gringo tacos — the first I’ve seen in this part of Baja (and only 30 pesos on Taco Tuesday!) served with lettuce, tomato, sour cream — but no grated cheddar unfortunately. The cheeseburger was my favorite style: griddled thin double patties, 2 slices of American cheese & topped with sauce (the same as the chip dip maybe?) and pickles. Perfection. Fries are potato wedges. Staff friendly, service top notch, credit cards accepted.

They make everything out of scratch. The pizza was delicious, and the wings were the best ones I've ever had. Mozzarella sticks were also very good. The prices were affordable. We recommend it 100%.

Really enjoyed this whole in a wall. The chips are very good and comes with salsa, a cream sauce and something that looks like guacamole but it’s not. It’s very hot. We really liked the salsa as it had a Smokey flavor. The guacamole was very tasty. I ordered a shrimp taco and a fish taco - both grilled. They were simple and nice and tasted fresh. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp and they weee delicious. The dipping sauce was perfect. The mango margarita was very good and may be one of the best we’ve had. Fresh fruit flavor and large portion size. Charlie’s is close to Club Marena where we often stay. We will be back.

Very friendly service and great drinks and food! Chips and salsa are some of my favorite anywhere. Margaritas are great here. It can get very loud and crowded on weekend nights but that’s to be expected. They occasionally had live music or karaoke when I was there. Great place to come with friends or meet new people even. Hope to return soon

Antes era más grande el establecimiento, ahora es el segundo piso, comida limpia, el trato fue impecable. Las porciones son generosas. Eso si, bastante económico.

La comida es regular, pero con la musica en vivo se hace un buen ambiente. Y si te gusta cantar es el lugar correcto. Hasta coros tendrás. Acompañad@ de música en vivo. ( Solo fines de semana 5pm )

La comida es excelente, solo que a pesar de ser amables en la atención, se confunden seguido con los platillos. Pero si regreso definitivamente. Las quesadillas con camarón ranchero o enchilado están muy buenas.

Buen sabor, buenas porciones además muy ricas las dos tipos de salsa con totopos además del rico dip que te sirven de cortesía. Los precios regulares no tienen el precio total en el menú, así que no te sorprenda si la cuenta no es lo que esperabas. No incluye el IVA. El servicio está también regular.

Hace 3 años estaba muy bueno el sabor de los alimentos, sobre todo de la crema de la casa, pero en estos días ha bajado el sazón. Pero es buen lugar para tomarse un trago y cantar karaoke.

Great service and friendly staff but I was disappointed with the food I ordered. I got a shrimp and fish taco and they tasted exactly the same and the tortillas were crumbly and odd. Cool place to have a drink and the staff was great, but I probably wouldn’t order food (at least not the tacos) if I ever come back.

El lugar esta renovado, mejoraron el piso y me parece que tambien las mesas y sillas, pero bueno, pedimos tacos de pescado, camaron y pulpo, este ultimo tenia buen sabor pero estaba muy chicloso, el de camaron apenas daba un ligero sabor al camaron, igual que el del pescado, me parece que no calentaron bien las tortillas porque mi tercer taco ya estaba bien frio. Esta mejor Tacos Junior.

I am sure not all food is poor at this establishment given the reviews that state the otherwise. However my experience as of April 29th 2023, I ordered four tacos. One of asada one of chicken one fish and one arrachera. None of these tacos were to my liking. The chicken was far too salty, the fish which I had high hopes of being delicious because this is near the sea, was very Bland, the asada was mediocre at best, and I had to spit out the arrachera. The tortilla for all of them were going on cold, they were barely warm. My wife ordered the exact same thing that I did, and we both did not finish our meals however we paid the full price which I would say is also a bit expensive since this restaurant knows that Americans or tourists come to visit it. It is currently priced at around 45 pesos per taco, and prices in surrounding areas are about 29 pesos per taco. The only thing that I did like was the green avocado salsa which was very delicious. The atmosphere seems good, the service I'm sure is also good as a multiple times came to our table to ask if everything was okay or if you wanted to go boxes. Since we did not enjoy the food and we left a lot left over, we did not request to go boxes.

Dont go to this place on Tuesdays!!! We have gone on other nights and it was good. Unfortunately we were ignored on Tuesday. Too many otherpeople ordering drinks.

Después de mucho sin ir, volví a comprobar que solo los frijoles es lo bueno de ese lugar, no más, quiza porque era domingo y todos se querían ir, pero todo mal. No lo recomiendo!

Este lugar es para gringos viejitos que van a comer comida mexicana pero la vdd es que no está buena la comida, me sirvieron un burrito de carne asada y si traía tres pedazos de carne era mucho. Me sirvieron un café y al terminarmelo, le pedí a la mesera me sirviera más café de favor y me cobraron doble el café $80 pesos de café de cafetera osea ni siquiera un café gourmet. No vale la pena el lugar.
