Mexico Lindo Cantina is a long-time favorite known for its delicious, authentic Mexican food and friendly staff. The margaritas are a highlight, and the spacious dining area is great for watching sports. Some find the food bland or overpriced.

Came in a couple of times recently desperate to start dining in post Covid. Great for drinks and appetizers but no entrees for vegetarians. It was busy and I almost felt the waiter was being a little patient as usually it’s easy to say yes to vegetarian fajitas for instance. But the waiter’s response focused more on reminding us that it will cost us the same and all he had was bell peppers and onions. Not very creative but at least he was direct! Oh and I like to spice things up a little so I asked for some Jalapeños. Lol. I got a jalapeño. The place was busy so we got two sets of utensils for four of us. I got up and helped myself to the two other sets I needed for my kids. Regardless of these trivial things, the enchiladas, the quesadillas and the sombreros were delicious. I am coming back. Next time with friends to drink mostly.
We were in Pleasanton for some shopping and decided to go there for an early dinner. This is our third time there and they nailed it again. Everything was perfect. I wish that the Mexico Lindo by us at the Silver Creek location was even close to being as good as this one. Service and portions as well as taste can't compare.
We had a reservation for a party of 13. They were ready for us. Service was great. Our food was brought out promptly. Our server was very polite and very accommodating.
The food was great and authentic! Growing up in Mexico and San Diego, it is hard to come by Mexican food that has the authentic feel and flavor to it in the bay area. Moreover, the service was very friendly! It did take a while for is to be seated at first but that may have just been due to staff being busy.
The food here is great. I have been coming here for more than 10 years. Always excellent food.
We visited on a Sunday just before the dinner hour. There was a private party taking place in one area of the main dining room which caused us & other patrons to served in the bar lounge area. Since we had our dog in our truck & had to leave the back completely open we really needed to sit in the main dining area to keep an eye on things. The Owner was very accommodating although the person serving that area wasn't in yet. Maria who was managing service in the bar area was more than willing to seat us outside of her assigned section & took care of everything for us completely. It was extra work for her which we recognized & she handled it with such ease & professionalism. She stayed on top of everything & never left us without, including chips & salsa. The food was great too but was more enhanced by the great service we received from Maria that day on Sunday,, April 15th. Thank you Maria
We received great service here the other day. The restaurant was fairly empty for a Saturday so it was nice and quiet for our party of 8. Our server (I think he said he was also the bartender) was attentive and very accommodating. Food was delicious! A bit on the pricey side but the portions are pretty big. Thank you for the hospitality!
I can only wish that someday I would live next door to Mexico Lindo Mexican Restaurant. They make the best Cheese Enchilada Dinner. Yum! The staff is always friendly also. Thank you
The hostess sabe did a great job I would say she needs a raise
The service and food was wonderful. We were greeted, promptly, with a smile, at the door and seated immediately. Our server was friendly and gracious. The food was well presented and delicious. We will definitely be going back 😁
So let me first to tell you that I walked in with a blind to-go order back about 6 weeks ago. The gentleman at the register was so incredibly nice and even gave me a menu to go since the menu on Google was from years ago. I proceeded to order another to go lunch about a week and a half later, again, it was great food and great service! From there a week and a half after I ordered for the office with a total of 9 people.. I could never describe to you how amazing the service and the food is, everything was marked and labeled we had plenty of chips and salsa extra silverware and not one person finished their entire lunch!! 5 stars across the board!!! ❤️
Thank you mexico lindo for my birthday celebration tonight. Renae Harryman. Everything was wonderful
Food was good, margaritas were outstanding. Our server was pretty good but the guy who seated us definitely wanted to be anywhere else, but here on this Saturday nite. The place is really big with lots of tables but surprisingly wasn't that busy. Only saw the two servers and maybe a manager. They would have been completely overwhelmed if it were busier.
FIRST TIME HERE... OMG... Food was great, service was excellent. I think I found my new favorite place to eat. Thank you for such a great experience.
Mexico Lindo Cantina in Pleasanton is a long time favorite. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is the nicest and most friendly in town. The bar make great margaritas and it is a great place to watch a sporting event or have a nice meal in their spacious dining area. They make a great Pollo Baracho and the street tacos are yummy. Located right next to the Alameda County fairgrounds and Hwy 680. Stop in and enjoy!
Super good food and of course the margaritas. All the reviews mention the margaritas and those are fantastic but the sangria is great as well. The pachanga platter appetizer is a no brainer if you have a table full of people and it's probably enough to be a meal for two hungry people. It's crazy flavorful. The pollo boracho is very tasty and the wife says the refried beans on the side were probably the best she's ever had.
Delicious food & nice Restaurant. And a Spicy Margarit. Good Customer Service.😋
Good food, nice vibe and great waiters. Food was authentic and good. Will come back for sure.
The restaurant is clean, the food is fantastic, and the service is great. I always enjoy spending time at Mexico Lindo!

One of the best Mexican Restaurants in the bay. I have had the enchiladas a chile relleno, beans and rice- all authentic recipes. The best Margarita. The utilize excellent tequila for their house margarita and real lime juice. So delicious!
I keep coming back to this place. Excellent salsa and guacamole. Delicious fajitas. I like the shredded cheese on the side. I haven't seen that before. Great service. I was a little surprised at a small guacamole being $11.99 and three grilled jalapeños being $4.99. The food was delicious. There was a huge party in the bar area and the acoustics were horrible! So loud even far away in the restaurant area.
Hahaha when my friend greeted me his voice boomed in the restaurant. Í was glad we were the only ones there. At 3pm. Otherwise all was nice. The food was pretty good. Service was excellent. Spices were acceptable but I like my food with a bit of spicy heat to it. My 2 elderly friends were loving it. There is also a small outdoor patio for dining. I think I saw a bar. Pretty sure I did.

Really nice place. With great staff. Generous portions authentic flavor.

Really good authentic Mexican food. No wait and waiters are always very courteous and helpful
A group of us held a birthday party here, tonight. There were 11 of us and everything went smoothly. Even though the manager tried to discourage us from having Separate Checks the lady that took care of us said that she could do it. So, everybody ordered individually and after our meals she came around and reviewed with each of us what we had and issued a separate check for each couple. The food was very good as was the service. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were very large. This all makes for a very good value. I had a combination taco and pork tamale. It was excellent. My wife had 2 chicken enchiladas. She ended up bringing about half of it home. The rest of the group was similarly satisfied. The one single negative was the noise. It's a very large dining room and there are no sound absorbing panels carpets or other devices to absorb sound. Therefore it was very noisy. Jim
Mexican Lido’s (Pleasanton)beef and shrimp fajitas offer a tasty and satisfying dining experience. The beef fajitas are well-prepared with tender, juicy meat cooked fajita-style over grilled bell peppers and onions, complemented by Mexican rice, beans, and fresh tortillas. The shrimp fajitas stand out with fresh, flavorful shrimp also served with the classic sides and a fajita salad that enhances the meal. Customers appreciate the generous portion sizes and the vibrant presentation of these dishes. The flavors are generally well-received, with the beef being juicy and not dry, though some reviewers noted the potential for a bit more seasoning to suit personal tastes. The shrimp fajitas are praised for their freshness and complementary seasoning. Overall, these fajitas reflect authentic Mexican flavors paired with good service and a pleasant dining atmosphere, making them a strong recommendation for those wanting classic Mexican fajitas in a well-put-together setting.
LOVE this place! Not only close to home, but the Pollo Barracho (drunken chicken) dinner has been a favorite of mine for over 20 years. (Tasty, marinated chicken breast, served with rice, beans, salsa and tortillas). And, of course, all the Mexican beers you can think of!
Food has great flavor and tastes amazing. The service is fast and very helpful. The lounge is big with several TV's.
Great place to go if you're hungry. Plenty of food on the plate. We ordered street tacos and a veggie fajitas. We also received chips and salsa. If you like hot food be sure to ask for the hot sauce. You'll be treated with their habanero hot sauce. So good!! The food was good, meat tender and overall a really good experience.

It was pretty good. Service was ok. Nothing to write home about, but it's a nice restaurant.
Ordered steak fajitas, was given a lot of peppers and onions, hardly any meat! Says on menu ships of steak, tiny cubes of steak. Our waiter took for ever to bring us water that we asked for 3 times.
Sign said please wait to be seated, so we did. No one ever came. We finally seated ourselves in the bar. Food was not that great.
Staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was good. Vegan options were limited. The peppers in the veggie fajitas were delicious. I was surprised that onions were not included. Chips and salsa were tasty. Food was pretty good overall.

Came in here to try it for the first time. Seemed to be only one server. Noone was at the front. Waited 5 minutes, never acknowledged. Line formed of 3 ppl, they knew we were there. Went to the bathroom, which smelled like a dead animal. Came out still noone to acknowledge us, left to Chipotle instead 🤔
Walked into a practically empty restaurant, waited 10 minutes before someone noticed us and took us to a table. Waiter was very nice and attentive. Ordered a super chili Verde burrito and it only had 2 pieces of meat in it, the rice was a sticky ball of goo on plate and they filled the burrito with it as well.. Very disappointing since my wife and I rarely go out to dinner and then spent close to $60 only to be let down. We will not be going back again.
Worst carnitas ever. Super bright felt like a cafeteria. Service was good, margaritas ok.
Food straight up sucks. These people don’t put salt on anything. Waitress brought food and saw empty drinks didn’t even bother if we wanted refills. As soon as you get salsa for chips you will taste how bad the food is. Charging 26$ per plate is ridiculous if your food is this bland.
For being in an expensive and nice area, this place needs some TLC. The food was a little bland and I could barely chew the shredded beef in my chimichanga. It was basically meat flavored bubble gum. Sadly, I had to spit most of it out. Walking in almost looks like a nursing home. The bathrooms needed assistance as well as many of the seats at the tables had duct tape holding them together. It wasn't our favorite place but if you need food, they have some. The beans were good. Everything was very expensive also.

Covid with your food? Eat or get takeout from here. Observed unmasked owner having long aspirated talk with another unmasked man, next to where the waiters carried open food plates out to customers and also contaminating the air you must breath to do a pickup. If the owner does this in public, imagine what happens in the kitchen!
Came in here to order food to go for a friend stuck in a nursing home. Took a LONG time to take, prepare & have my order ready. The food came thrown in a bag, sauce leaking and less than warm.
Busy Saturday lunch rush, they only had one waiter, a busser and the manager. This is an extremely large building too. We were seated right away, got chips and salsa right away and ordered right away.. then we waited. It took close to 30 minutes for them to bring us our drinks (ice tea and sangria) in dirty glasses. Then! it took another 15-20 minutes to get the food. Once we got it, you could tell it had been sitting there for quite a while and even if it had been fresh, they just don't have that great of Mexican food. I'd choose one of the many restaurants surrounding this before going here if I were you. If I wanted bad Mexican food, I would have made it at home
I used to love this place. I thought it was great food at a good value in Pleasanton. This last time my boyfriend and I ordered a pitcher of skinny house margarita and they WAY over charged us. Talked to the manager and he said it was the correct price - $50. I usually switch between there, Alberto's, and Blue Agave. For Alberto's and Blue Agave being right downtown with a perfect location and great food their prices are much better (less than $50 for a house pitcher). Very sad Mexico Lindo lost a long time customer today.
How does this place stay open? Tonight, Saturday night, our group wanted some appetizers and margaritas after the Giants game, we decided to head back to Pleasanton instead of staying in the city. Their website said they were open until 10 PM but when we arrived at 8:45 PM, there was on group eating inside and the doors were locked. When a worker passed by I tapped on the glass and asked if they were really closed, he gestured with a slicing motion to his next. I get it, they have very average food but please do something right. If you are closing early at least you can do is update your webpage? We pivoted to Sultan Kebab’s which is way better food but they do not have Margaritas. Do better Mexico Lindo or sell the place to someone who will!
Review solely on service: After a long days work we decided to try Mexico Lindo Cantina for the first time. We arrived and we were happy to see that it wasn’t busy or crowded so we could be seated and get our food daily quickly. We were not greeted or even acknowledged after walking in. We made eye contact with 2 staff members who turned the other way.. after 15 minutes of not even a hello from anyone, we walked out. There was a total of 3 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. 2 at the bar area and 1 at the regular dining. Service was absolutely unacceptable and being our first time there, we will probably not be back.
Brought me the wrong order, up charged me for it and blamed me that if I didn't ask to not put the extras, they will charge me for them.
Service absolutely sucks. Used to not be like that years ago. Seems like management is toxic. Only 1 server working with two others (I’m assuming the busser and manager/or bartender) working the Dining area with over 12 tables actively dining. Our server was the older lady that wears the mask. We were waiting a solid 10 minutes for drinks. Didn’t get the water till after 5 minutes of receiving our chips and salsa. Server forgot the tea my father ordered. Also no refills on my water. Had to ask the busser. Overall she is just not friendly. Nor is any of the other employees. We tip based on service and experience. Sadly that was not up to par. Probably will not return. Also prices keep increasing. Keep that in mind.
First time here, food is bad, service is bad atmosphere is bad. Considering the demographic where this is located I can see why the food had no flavor. But hey, It didn't say authentic anywhere, my bad. Lack of flavor across the board. As for the service, it was just poor all around. Tables of a certain demographic were priorities. The waitress never came to check once, plus she was impatient when taking our order. If short staffed, that's a different situation. Anyways, this place needs a total renovation. Walls, floors, booths and chairs. It's incredibly dated and falling apart, let alone in need of a DEEP cleaning. Imagine the kitchen. Save your money and time, and get some authentic Mexican food across the hill, not this place.
Food was really bad. Unimaginative. Ordered chicken enchiladas, it came back as a frozen cheese enchilada with piece of chicken on the side? Had some canned sauce on top. I’d be embarrassed to serve this dish. And they charge $26?? I definitely would not recommend this restaraunt.
