First time at this place. One of the best restaurants in the area. The servers and the host are the nicest people and make sure you are treated well. The inside doesn’t smell like smoke but smells clean and pleasant, a nice break from the other side of the casino. The meals are fresh, delicious and mouth watering. The price is fair especially since it’s a nice restaurant and very convenient. Will definitely be coming back.
Good place for an aged steak. We tried the porterhouse and braised ribs and they good but the porterhouse has strong seasoning compared to other places but that was fine for me. Bread was good and calamari appetizer tasted fine too. It has been along day so we opt for iced tea instead of wine. It comes with four different kinds of sugar too. Next time we will need to try out a bottle of red wine to pair with the meat. We had a reservation so it was easy to get seated and it wasn’t busy on a Saturday night. Get a reservation because some nights this place is packed. There is a restroom towards the entrance so you won’t need to head out of the restrooms to wash your hands.
We are huge fans of Morton’s and Ruth’s Cris but the food and service here were amazing. Easy reservations and fast seating. Everyone was nice and the table and restaurant were very clean. Food was amazing and steaks cooked properly. 0 complaints. We will definitely go back. We paid $220 plus tip for 2 people. 3 appetizers and 2 entrees and one side plus 1 soda. Slightly higher than Ruth’s but lower than Morton’s. I would have only suggested they do the warm plates. Other than that presentation was perfect down to the super sharp steak knives however you could have cut the filet with a plastic butter knife.
Was going to see a show the side of the stop by and grab dinner before hand on a Sunday night. They have the prime rib special and of course I have to get it. It was delicious. The sides were a little small in portion but that's okay because it's a whole bunch of meat! Sat at the bar had a couple drinks overall a very positive experience and would do it again.
I don’t think there is a better valentines restaurant that COSS!! Reservations are highly encouraged it not necessary. The menu is very specialized for a steak house. The appetizers were bountiful and very enjoyable. We had a fancy spread of breads and the shrimp cocktail. For the entrees, seeing as how it’s a steak house, we decided to go with the filet mignon ribeye and a lobster tail. The ribeye tasted very good but it seemed like it was a tad over cooked from my medium rare request. The grand finale was the Banana Foster for 2 created table side. This is a MUST HAVE if you go. What an experience!! 5⭐️ all the way !!
If you want to go on a date and just relax in a romantic atmosphere while eating delicious food, then I recommend this place! my husband and I just had a wonderful evening. Everything was at your level. The service staff was very professional and polite.
Delicious food and drinks. We made reservations easily online. Service was fast and friendly. This is the second time we visited here. The first time we had the rib-eye and loved it. This time we had clam chowder, mushroom risotto, and the braised short ribs. All of it was amazing! They came out fresh and piping hot. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!
This dinner was fantastic. Everything was cooked perfectly. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The steak and scallops were delicious. It was a pricey meal, but worth it.
The waiter we had was attentive and helpful with suggestions. I took my mother, sister and brother-in-law to have dinner here. The steaks were cooked as ordered and didn’t need any additional seasoning, we did get some of their chimichurri, and that added another level of flavor that enhanced the steak even more. My sister had the Chilean sea bass and was very happy with her choice. For a drink, I chose the “Under the Table” a twist on an old fashion 🥃 with citrus instead of cherry. I enjoyed it, not sweet, but smooth. We all split a cheesecake at the end, just enough for a couple bites each. The cheesecake we had was a ricotta cheesecake, and the savory cheese made for a rich flavor that wasn’t as dense and sweet as you expect out of a cheese cake. We all enjoyed it.
I came by for a quick glass of wine and an appetizer. I didn’t expect to be blown away right at the gate. Sandy is amazing! I couldn’t decide where to sit so she pointed out the special features of the restaurant and was really patient with me. I ended up sitting in the main dining room by myself where I could see the open kitchen. After I ordered my dad and stepmom surprised me just to hang out. And without them ordering anything they were able to accommodate us with a bigger table and another bread tray. Then the crab cakes came and I was done. Just look at the picture! I can’t wait to come back for a full course and enjoy the experience again. Their wine list is extensive. And it truly is an experience when you come to Council Oaks.

Always an amazing experience when visiting Counsel Oak Steak House. The food has exceeded expectations every time and the drinks are always made delicious. Samantha the bartender made our experience incredible and made sure we did not go without anything. Will be coming back very soon to see her!

From the receptionist good attitude, the main server Justin good customerservice, his co server good job, to the team that served our food good aura for everyone, relax ambience on a Sunday night. The food and drinks are good, me and wife like it. BUT what standout the most is the age steak, is super good we love it so much 😋 super good I been trying different steak from different restaurants, your steak is in my top 3 no maybe topb1 of all time, the kitchen and the chef excellent cooking. Surely we will be back again soon. Keep the total package of service to the best standard.
Porter house steak was juicy and delicious. The customer service can use improvement. She was not friendly. I only ordered one steak and it took over 30 minutes to receive it. Overall I rate my $81 steak (that was aged for 28 days) a 7 out of 10.
During a recent visit to Council Oaks Steaks and Seafood at the Hard Rock Casino, I enjoyed a variety of dishes, including ribeye, salmon, oysters, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, and broccoli, along with a non-alcoholic berry drink. The Brussels sprouts were the standout dish perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The virgin berry drink was exceptional, easily one of the best non-alcoholic beverages I’ve had, refreshing and delicious. The ribeye was cooked well and satisfying, and the oysters were fresh. The mashed potatoes and broccoli complemented the meal nicely. However, the salmon was overcooked, with both the top and bottom burnt, which was disappointing given how simple it is to cook properly. Service was polite but could use some improvement. When our appetizer of oysters was brought out, nobody came to clear the dish. The large oyster platter occupied most of the table, making it difficult to navigate space for our main courses. It wasn’t picked up until nearly the end of the meal, which was a bit disappointing considering there were only three tables dining that night. Additionally, some requested condiments were not brought, and follow-up check-ins after food was served were minimal. A bit more attentiveness would elevate the overall experience. Price-wise, the steaks are reasonably priced, with meals around $275 including tax, which is fair for a high-end steakhouse. Council Oaks offers excellent flavors, especially for vegetable and drink enthusiasts, with potential for an even better experience with small improvements to service and kitchen execution.
The bar was pretty busy when I placed my take-out order. This place was pretty busy for a Friday night. Regardless of how busy it was the bartenders were super attentive. The place itself was pretty inviting and had a modern but chill vibe. The display case of meats being aged were a sight to see. They had so many items I wanted to try. We ordered: 1. Crab cakes - It had a nice crunch on the outside but flaky inside. I liked that it was simple but flavorful. 2. Porterhouse - I'm normally a ribeye kind of person but we switched it up and tried the Porterhouse. I was really disappointed. It was cooked perfectly, medium like I ordered but it was so tough and dry. I expected a little more juiciness and flavor since it is dry aged. I should have just stuck with a ribeye. 3. 1/2 lb maine lobster taill - perfectly cooked and was so tender. Dip it in the buttery goodness and your in heaven. 4. Mac and cheese - Cheesy yummy goodness, perfectly cooked. 5. Garlic Mashed potatoes - Who would've thought something so simple can be so satisfying. It was creamy and flavorful. 6. Brussel sprouts - I am not a brussel sprouts kind of person and wanted to get the broccolini or the asparagus but the bartender was raving on and on about how good it was. I gave in, it wasn't bad. It was pretty good. It was sliced in quarters and was nice and crunchy. 7. Bread basket - I wasn't sure if they provided bread so I ordered it just in case. All the breads were good except for the flat bread sesame thing. The ciabatta bread and twisty cheesy breads were our favorite. The bartender that took my order was nice. I think his manager was more attentive and was making sure he was on it. When it came time to pick up my order, he ended up helping me. He made sure my order was complete. After dinner we came back down hoping to try the dessert as well but the guy who first helped me was running around like a chicken with his head cutoff. He explained to me who he had to help and what he needed to do before getting to me. I said ok amd patiently waited for almost 10 minutes and just left. It was not worth it to wait much longer for dessert. To be honest I was prepared to order one of everything, but if the service was like this who would've known how my dessert would've come out. Too bad the manager or someone wasn't there to help him. You would've thought for a Friday night they would at least have 2 people working the bar.
The place feels upscale, but not overly. Their wine list is wonderful, some very nice bottles. If you know what you're looking for you can get decent deals for restaurant bottles. Some aren't marked up at 300%, but all of them had about a 50%-250% mark up. The bone marrow was delicious. For a steakhouse, I was slightly disappointed in my main course though. I asked for medium, and my filet was blue, raw on the inside. I had surf n turf, which comes with two lobster tails, both were over cooked. Not overcooked too badly that they weren't edible, but not tender in the way that makes a lobster tail stand out as great. The garlic potatoes were super good. The cheesecake was very well balanced for dessert, but the cheesecake itself was gritty and not smooth. Additionally, had I not already had so much wine in the evening I would have gotten some port or dessert wine as their selection again was phenomenal. 2 people was $350 - they gave me our neighbors bills accidentally so I saw that it's possible for 2 people to eat for $170 as well. But if you're going, you may as well indulge, and get a decent bottle of wine.
Veal marrow was great, the crostini not so much. Wedge salad was okay. Coal fired crispy chicken was good. My Cab Sauv was $18 vs. the Old fashioned for $8.50. They did not skimp on the bourbon!! More bang for your buck!!

Been here a few times but this time around the meal was just ok. The Porterhouse was not eatable. Tough and way too smokey. It feels like the smoke is a liquid and not from wood. Not a very pleasant taste. We sent it back as we were not going to eat it as it was way too tough. Won't be back!

Disappointing average food for a high price, small portions for a high price too. Mom had a baked potato, which was cold and did not have all the fixings as requested, her steak was raw, not cooked how she wanted it. Scallops were ok on my end...Shelby was a awesome waitress however, felt welcomed there with her!
We recently sat at the bar at Council Oak and, unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet our expectations. We started with the scallops, which were quite salty and just okay overall. There was also a fairly long wait before our burger arrived, and when it did, the patty was very thick and had a rubbery texture. The fries also didn’t feel very special, similar to what you might find at a fast-food restaurant. I had really been looking forward to dessert, but the crème brûlée had very little custard and was covered with so many toppings that it overwhelmed the dish. I also ordered a mule that tasted extremely sour, which I didn’t enjoy. The service itself was fine, though it wasn’t very busy during our visit. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially considering the price. I honestly think we might have had a better meal for half the cost at Hard Rock Cafe. I truly wanted to love the experience, but it just fell short for us.
