Es un sitio muy acogedor, con un ambiente tranquilo. Los camareros super atentos y agradables. La comida espectacular, fuimos a comer un cocido y nos encantó, mucha cantidad, variedad y todo buenísimo, no sabría decir lo que me gustó más. Sin duda lo recomendaremos y volveremos.
Un cocido espectacular desde la sopa o el caldo hasta los 7 postres para finalizar la ocupará comida. Muy buen ambiente y un servicio muy agradable y pendiente de los comensales.
Comida ESPECTACULAR,no puedes ir y no probar el cocido,el trato de l@s camarer@s de lo mejor que vi ,los postres de lo que probé y muchísima variedad, hechos por el dueño ,una bodega y unos licores de lo mejor que hay en el mercado ,visita obligada cuando visites Ponteledesma y alrededores aunque sea Santiago de Compostela ,un 10 💯💯💯,comida a repetir hasta decirle basta
Sorprendida de este lugar,desde el entorno la decoración y el servicio, camareros super atentos,el cocido exquisito y muy abundante ni que hablar de los postres , volveremos sin dudarlo
Imprescindible ir en época del cocido. El mejor que probé de toda Galicia con una extensa variedad de carnes y productos. El local no es muy grande y lo mejor es reservar con antelación para asegurarse una mesa.
Fueron muy amables, trato perfecto. Comimos tabla de embutidos y croquetas, muy buenas. Yo truchas que a pesar de que no eran de "río", me lo dijo la camarera, estaban buenísimas. De postre la mezcla de tartas, estaba muy ricas, ya no podíamos más. Detalle de melindres con el café.

We recently ate here and left absolutely stuffed. We wanted to try their famous stew, but it wasn't in season. However, everything we did eat was delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly, the cheese board was exceptional, the meats were delicious, as were the baby squid and the cheesecakes (especially the baked one)—a real treat. They accept restaurant vouchers, but in our case, we couldn't pay with them because the card reader didn't work with that card. That was the only downside; otherwise, it was fantastic.
Easy parking and great food. For starters, a perfectly cooked Spanish omelet with salad; for the main course, breaded chicken breast—a standard dish, but quite good; and for dessert, a delicious baked cheesecake. If you don't have to drive, I recommend trying one of their huge selection of liqueurs, which I think are reasonably priced.
The best cocido we've ever had. And the most generous, without a doubt. We booked a table for four that same week and showed up at this place with the goal of enjoying one of our favorite meals. And enjoy it we did. We started with two types of soup: traditional cocido soup and a kind of broth, both delicious. Next came a couple of appetizers: croquettes and chicharrones (if I'd known, I wouldn't have eaten them to save room for what came next). The cocido itself: I don't know how many types of meat, two kinds of chorizo (with onions and regular), potatoes, turnip greens, cabbage, etc. Incredible in quantity and quality, with the only minor drawback being the potatoes, which were a tad undercooked. It was impossible to finish it all, because they also serve filloas (Galician crepes) on the side, and it was absolutely insane. But the real extravaganza was the desserts: after a scoop of ice cream to cleanse the palate, accompanied by a glass of port wine, came two types of cheesecake, half a local cheese (yes, half a local cheese) with quince paste, chocolate cake, doughnuts, and crepes flambéed with rum. Gargantuan. It's no wonder people leave with Tupperware containers, because the portions are enormous, but the quality is equally impressive. It's not cheap, €45 per person, but considering that drinks are included and everything I've mentioned before, it's more than worth it. Definitely going back (next year, no doubt).
We went last Friday (a public holiday), having booked in advance for the cocido tasting menu. We had high expectations based on previous recommendations, and it far exceeded them. My recommendation is to go hungry, very hungry. In addition to the different courses (broth, soup, croquettes, pork rinds, cocido, assorted desserts, etc.), you can have as much as you like. A true delight for food lovers. Highly recommended.
Cannot recommend this Cocina more highly, we had the menu del dia, food excellent, staff so welcoming and kind. If we can will come again.
It keeps getting better here, we stayed in this area for few days and we tried other places but we decided this was the best. Food is great, crevice is even better. Very friendly staff and we can’t get enough of their pulpo “octopus”. I had pulpo in other restaurants and this is simply the best A must I would say if you are staying somewhere around here.
We ate from the menu, which was excellent and good. Yazmin, the waitress who served us, was charming, attentive, and professional. The cabbage broth, as well as the dumplings and dessert, were very good and plentiful. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped with soap and hand towels. The terrace is very large, and it was pleasant to eat there.

La experiencia fue con cocido gallego, abundante y buena calidad, en esta ocasión con un poco de falta de cocción de algunas carnes, lacón y chorizo. Creo que en un cocido sobran en el entrante las croquetas y chicharrones, y en el final un exceso de postres después de tan abundante comida, todo ello permitiría aquilatar un poco el precio final.
Good restaurant offering local food. The cocido gallego is the starring dish and it deserves it's fame. Tasty, very generous portions make it a full gastronomic experience. If around Santiago it well deserves a visit.
It was amazing! I've never been served so much food in my life, definitely a lot! Come hungry! The staff was always attentive, offering you seconds and even the option to take food home. We had to wait for a drink before sitting down, as you enter in order of arrival, even if you have a reservation. Highly recommended for groups! There were two of us, €45 per person. From what we saw at other tables, they have options for celiacs.

The truth is that everything was delicious and just the right amount, or a little more. The average price was high, the same as in Barcelona, I'd say. That was on Saturday, August 23, 2025. But there's one detail I want to highlight: I think if they charge you for the bottle of wine, they leave the cork on the table in case you want to take the half you haven't drunk. In my case, it's a very rude gesture not to remind the customer and just charge for the whole thing, I think. Everything else was very good.
