Decidedly good cuisine, quality ingredients, a wonderful setting and view, helpful and professional staff, a well-kept venue, and convenient parking. All this… at reasonable prices.
We were greeted with great courtesy. The atmosphere was warm. The bathrooms were very clean. We ordered two menus: one for €14 with a cover charge, a choice of one course, water, and coffee, and one for €20 with an additional course. We were amazed by the attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes and the careful selection of flavor combinations. We were completely satisfied and will return with our family. We went for a walk in the Bergamo hills to get some fresh air given the low temperatures. We decided to eat at the La Martesana restaurant. The staff were very kind. They offered us a risotto with black rice, swordfish, and melon, with a sauce that made it special, very pleasant and fresh. We ate very well. I had a mixed fried fish, nice and crispy yet delicate. My husband had pasta alla Gragnano. A celebration of flavors paired well. Since it's hot, we didn't try other dishes. We'll definitely be back when the temperatures are cooler. We ordered coffee, and when it was served, they brought us a little jar of biscuits. Handmade shortcrust pastry biscuits, oh my goodness, they're delicious. I recommend it to everyone. Clean place. Spacious. Worth a stop.
