No rush on ordering when you pull up! Pet peeve is when asked " is there anything else?" Instead they offered other things! How inviting?!!
Enjoyed their steak finger basket with white gravy, fries and Texas toast...delicious! Nice, clean reminded interior, good family restaurant. 👍
We just got a blizzard from thier! It was really good!! We went thru the drive thru! It was actually pretty quick service! He was like a one man crew taking orders drive thru and doing dine in order! The gentleman that waited on us was very fast!
This is another heavily nostalgic location for me. Yes, my order has been messed up here, and yes, it's a little slower than the other Port Lavaca DQ location. To clarify, that doesn't make me mad. If my order is messed up, I politely take it back, show them my receipt, and they fix it. Honestly, I'm a bit concerned looking at all of these reviews of "bad food" and messed up orders. I'm wondering if the people leaving these reviews even asked to have their order corrected, or if they just sat down and took a picture of the food for the sake of a one-star review. If your order is messed up, ask them to fix it. It's not that hard. I've never had inedible food here. It's always hot and it's always good.
All food was fresh. Didn't take long to get our big order out. Great place to stop. Staff was very patient and helpful.

Hostess was very helpful. No one there but us on a Saturday night.... usually busy. Gkids loved the ice cream cones.
Ice cream machine didn't work at the first dairy queen we went to so we went to the other across town a d they were great 👍 😎
Very Polite, our food came pretty quickly and there weren't any issues with or order. This Is probably the only fast food place that is generous with the napkins and ketchup 👍🏽👍🏽
Customers are always right when they let you know what the want or not want on their burger. Didn't happen to me but I watch a customer as she was trying to explain and the lady behind the counter was argumentive with her! Never should of questioned it. Just exchange it with a smile and apologize.

Typical franchise ice cream, hamburger store. Hamburgers are good. Hungerbuster is plenty to eat for one meal.
All I had was an oreo blizzard. It was good, but you need to have a sweet tooth to justify a medium size.
Wipe the pay screen down with the strongest disinfectant you can find in the storeroom. You really had me sign with my finger over globs of who knows what.
Nachos were s disappointment. The presentation was a little sloppy and small portion. I'm rarely disappointed in their food. This was a first. Normally I'd give 5 stars.
Got the worst banana split ever today. Was just thrown together. Looked horrible, nothing like a banana split should look like. Was very disappointed. Probably won't be going back to this location for awhile.
I'm the cool man like everything's cool I know we got two of them over here in the town and stuff but man they're always short changing me on the fries
The kitty kinds went up in price they used to be $0.99 now they're a dollar 89 one time you got three inches of ice cream one time you get one inch of ice cream. I think a dollar 89 is too much for a kitty cone for 1 inch of ice cream didn't you?
Ordered banana split. Got three mounds of ice cream and a sprinkling of toppings. Tasted good but way disappointed.
Got the chicken basket the gravy was runny and tasteless the fries where cold and soggy and we where missing one of the guys fries completely.
This is certainly a slower DQ than the norm, and I knew that going in. But man. Last night. 40 minutes for a 4 piece Steak finger basket. After doing the drive through I'm sitting in the parking lot with the other guys waiting for their order. One by one they go inside to ask for their order ( I assume they'd been waiting a while). I finally went in too, waited a while at the counter... and they messed up my order. Yes they fixed it when I asked, but I'm just standing around longer. On top of this, they weren't even very busy. There were no more than three tables occupied and a handful of cars moving through Drive Thru. There was no apology on the long wait time. Not that one's particularly necessary, just makes it harder to empathize with them. Regardless If I need a DQ fix in the future I'll drive the couple extra miles to the other location from now on. ----------------- update 8/16 It's been a week. I went to the other DQ in town and ordered the exact same thing. They had the sameish number of customers. Went through the drive through. From ordering until I got my food was right at 9 minutes. And it was hot :)

Waited about 15 minutes after i ordered my food, and watched other people that ordered after me get their food, before i went inside to check on my order. The lady in the front said that they were still cooking my food and they would bring it when it was ready. Claimed that there were a lot of orders in front of my order. Took another 5 minutes before i saw my food. Would not think that it would take too long to make a griled chicken salad and a kids chicken strip meal.
It took 40 minutes from placing order to leaving store in that time i never received my blizzard. I reminded the cashier more than once. After 23.5 minutes I got my food. My fries were missing. I paid extra for an extra side of cheese curds. Again I reminded them about my blizzard. Once my lunch break expired and I had to leave I asked for a refund where it took an additional 10 minutes because I was ignored and placed behind people ordering gift cards. Manager was rude. Did not apologize and I she said she gave me the refund but didnt even scan my receipt or give me a new receipt with the refund credit. Still have not received the refund so i probably won't.

Blizzard thankfully was not served upside down because it was just a little colder than mild. Super messy and took 18 minutes from order to ready for pick up. Fry, float and Blizzard. Not a big order.
Try to call in order for an hour no one would answer the phone it was busy everytime.I went there to order at the window and ask if they ever answered their phone they said no they were to busy with the drive thru orders.I will not go back .This place needs new management.
This place is disgustingly dirty. The bathroom, the tables, the table top numbers were filthy. And it took a long time to get our food. Staff were nice though.
Dirty. Horrible service. Grease was very old. Unprofessional employees. Rude. Profanity. Even the manager was very unprofessional. Employee's had to be in their 40s or older. Will never go back.

This place is absolutely filthy. Went in for a small twist icecream cone was given a vanilla one and the cone was so stale I ended up throwing it away. Won't be back
Mrs lupi downgrades her employees infront of customers..she swares at them and gets in there face ..i feel sorry for the employees.. The employees work in a hostile environment when she is there and when shes not there the establishment runs smoothly and is kept well maintained...
The employees wouldn't take order thru drive thru, after going in we were unwanted as clear as to the lack of respect the employees showed
Dirty. Bad food. Staff was mot friendly. Sweet Tea jug was empty and the Unsweet tea was sour.
I have stopped going to the 2 Dairy Queen restaurants due to the poor service and rude employees some of the employees look like they just woke up, unshaven with dirty uniforms.
Sweet tea had no sweet burger was cold fries was cold and it took 20 minutes to get, 0 stars. But i cant post unless i give them 1
The store manager forgot my chicken tenders she charged me then gave me my drink and said pull around so I waited and waited 15 min later I said I better go check what's going on.!! Sure enough they hadn't made them yet...
The rudest lady in the drive through. I cancelled my order and left. I now understand why at lunch time there was only one other car there.

No one wanted to listen, as the manager was much too busy to talk to me. Please save yourself a trip to Port L DQ. Try Whataburger or Burger King instead for greasy fast food. This is definitely not “what I Love about Texas.”

Took the kids and the dog for food. Went through the Drive thru. Forgot a taco salad and parked in handicap spot because all others full. Silvia the manager calls the cops on me and my family for being in handicap spot. What kind of business calls the cops on their own customers? What kind of business model do they follow I wonder? Can they afford to harass customers? Very poor. Very very poor customer service. FYI I have one leg, other is prosthetic, and I'm deaf.
I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star terrible service the food takes forever to receive and honestly coming from a family of Dairy Queen owners this is the worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to just terrible
I wish I could give a lower rating. I went around 9:00 p.m. and waited at the speaker for at least 5 minutes. No one answered despite being able to see people standing inside. Another vehicle pulled up behind me so I went ahead and pulled up to the window itself to get someone's attention. Finally, a guy opens the window but instead of greeting me says, "We don't have any ice cream. I mean we have food only right now." I went ahead and went to the Austin Street location and the ladies there were extremely helpful. Much better location despite it being the same owners.

Asked to just add the cheese and give it back the lady put the whole burger in the microwave, I told her never mind I didn't want it cause I didn't want hot veggies. Asked for a refund and two people at the register like lil kids fighting over who does it cause they didn't know how to give a refund smh. I just told them never mind keep the money I'll call the owner or who ever runs that store this is not the first time this has happened but the last time. I'm from Austin and never have I experienced this, what sad is that they did nothing to try and fix the situation they just said ok and went on... I stayed in the store about 20 mins longer so my family can finish their meals. Ridiculous!!!!
I can't believe this place is open with the management at hand. Every time I go in there, they are short handed. Hmm hire more people? Fire the ones that aren't coming in? I mean seriously, one night i saw the cook leave an hour before closing and they have these poor girls doing his job? I have yet to even see the manager up there! Do they even have one? I've been coming here for years but the way things are going, I have no problem going to the other dq IN TOWN. So for some advice to the owners. Get a manager.
When going through drive thru you expect to get your meal through drive, but instead I was told to circle around and wait at the entrance where they would take my meal. It took more than 10 minutes when I decided to get off my vehicle to get my order myself, and saw that they were taking a meal to the person who had ordered after me.
Cook or whoever puts the food together needs to go...half hour waits on food and absolutely horrible food quality.. I've driven off twice without my food or money because they forgot to make my order...I was mad and just left... Its actually zero stars from me but I couldn't leave a comment if I didn't put at least one star...To bad I can't post a picture of my tacos...the place is a joke...last and final trip to this DQ...and the q does not stand for quality...July 27 2023 since I originally posted this the DQ has been really good about wait times and the quality of the food I gotta say
