Personale e proprietari molto gentili, disponibili e simpatici. Consigliatissimo
On the evening of Sunday, September 20th, I needed dinner, and quickly. Excellent warm appetizers (pepper flan, in bagna cauda, exceptional). Delicious peaches with amaretto. Excellent Grignolino. Friendly staff. Very welcoming and clean place. 5/5
Good local food. The menu is written in Italian and English. However, you should ask for a detailed explanation of what exactly is included in each dish. They are exclusively local specialties. It's a wonderful place to enjoy the Italian atmosphere in the evening.
The restaurant is located in a small village with parking nearby. The outdoor seating is lovely, and the interior is also very stylishly furnished. The staff is very friendly. The well-curated menu and wine list are clearly explained. The food is freshly prepared and tastes exceptionally delicious. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Small snacks are always served with aperitifs. Excellent value for money.
Had dinner one weeknight... It was after 9:00 PM... While others, with the most trivial excuses, would tell you their service had already finished... Instead, here I was greeted with great hospitality and a family-like approach. I dined on an excellent trio of typical Piedmontese appetizers... tartare di farza, veal with tuna sauce, and a spectacular Russian salad... Fresh potato gnocchi topped with an excellent Castelmagno sauce...you could mop it up with bread... To finish, a homemade fruit and chocolate tart...here's a few orange zests...mouth-watering!! I was already very full...I'd just finished my glass of TOP Barbera (strictly Barbera Asigiana), beautifully fragrant and with an interesting complexity... Cute atmosphere, excellent service...what more can I say... The bill was absolutely adequate for everything I've described... Try it too...I assure you, it's worth it!!! Happy Easter and thank you for everything!!
It's December 31, 2024, I'm finishing dinner, the food is perfect, I assure you that everything is prepared properly, very very good and the price for it being New Year's Eve is more than fair (wines included), even the service in the dining room is impeccable. Beautiful evening. Thank you all. It's not the first time at this place, but tonight they outdid themselves.
We had lunch here today with friends from Emilia and Romagna. Compliments for everything. Very kind and patient waiters, amazing dishes, and a truly varied wine list. What can I say...we'll definitely be back. Well done, well done, well done!
I loved eating at this place. The menu is varied without being overwhelming. It's clear that the ingredients are fresh and chosen according to the current season. For me, the trifoliate antipasto was a gem. The rest of the dishes, pasta and mushrooms, were cooked to perfection. For once, the trifoliate mushrooms didn't only smell of garlic! The chef truly mastered the craft. I recommend chatting with the server (who is admirable at his job) to better understand the history of the place. The setting is fantastic, as there are several different dining areas, both indoors and outdoors... all unique. I'll definitely be back!
Excellent restaurant serving traditional local dishes. Excellent service and food. The restaurant has spacious, heated, and well-lit rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. A must-try if you want to sample Piedmontese specialties, or better yet, truffles. Definitely worth a try. Prices are in line with the quality of the products served.
For work, I stayed at this hotel near Asti. The impeccably family-run restaurant serves traditional Piedmontese cuisine with a wide selection of local wines. Breakfast is plentiful, with both sweet and savory options. The rooms are very clean and welcoming, with a mini-fridge and a balcony overlooking the Alps. The only downside is the TV, which is a bit small. The bathroom and shower are fine. Highly recommended!
Very charming and rustic place. Excellent value with a traditional menu and a wide selection of wines. Unfortunately, I only have a photo of the guanciotto, but the other dishes looked very inviting as well. With two appetizers, a first course, a second course, two glasses of wine, and a water, we spent €58. We'll definitely be back if we have the chance, as we're not from the area. Highly recommended!
A very beautiful and welcoming restaurant, with a lovely terrace offering a panoramic view of Monferrato, and a visit to the castle is intriguing. The host, Francesco, will welcome you warmly, and his wife, Rosa, is in the kitchen, preparing delicious traditional Piedmontese dishes. I enjoyed a lovely selection of appetizers; I recommend the trio of coffees, very delicate, also prepared with Grignolin, naturally, given the restaurant's name. For the first course, I opted for the tajarin, with a delicious ragù, but I couldn't have gone wrong with the agnolotti, which my friends declared delicious. Given the heat, we opted for a light meal, skipping the main course, but as a foodie, I treated myself to a nice Bonet. Grignolino wine, of course, a bottle recommended by the host. It was delicious; it's a shame I have to drive and can only have one glass, but look at that, my friends drank it heartily. Guys, when are we going back?
Great place. Good good.
Beautiful place
In the center of town, inside the castle walls, I believe, there's this beautiful restaurant spread over several floors. It offers mainly traditional Piedmontese cuisine, with a limited selection, but I fully agree with their approach to quality. Everything tastes good, nothing to complain about. I must compliment the excellent rabbit in Arneis, a meat that requires considerable culinary skill. It's truly a wonderful dish, and you can tell the kitchen is run by experienced, elderly women. If I ever get the chance, I'd definitely stop by again. The price is average for the location. Perhaps we forget, but here we are in one of the most enchanting places in the world.
For dinner to celebrate my birthday, I chose this place reviewed by Raspelli, expecting something extra, but... that something is much less. We start with the table set with paper placemats, like butcher's rugs, paper cutlery and napkins, and water glasses, one of which is visibly chipped. They took our order, specifying that we should be very careful because I'm allergic to rabbit, which is part of the evening's menu. Overall, the food quality is good, but the service is a little less so. There must have been problems in the kitchen, because for a dish that included prawns, they kept bringing out salmon slices with orange juice (but why not tell the waiters that the prawns are no longer available?). The place is also a wine bar. We order a glass of ruche and are given the dregs of a bottle. At the start of the evening at 8:00 PM, providing the dregs of a bottle that had been opened who knows when doesn't exactly look good. Price: €70 for two appetizers, a first course, a second course, a tiny dessert, a glass of wine, and a bottle of water. The indoor location is the ricetto, while the outdoor area is a section of the piazza used as an outdoor terrace. I'll leave that up to you to decide.
Quality products and excellent service. Lunch for two without wine: €60.
Beautiful location, inside an ancient building, offering a splendid view. Very welcoming atmosphere, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable staff. We dined on Saturday evening in a very charming, intimate, and romantic dining room. The menu features a local twist, with carefully crafted dishes. The Castelmagno gnocchi and the trio of Piedmontese appetizers are particularly noteworthy. Among the desserts, the chocolate and raspberry ingot was excellent. Absolutely competitive prices for the type of restaurant and cuisine. I will definitely repeat this experience in the future.
