Paseando por la zona de copas vimos este bar que tenía buena pinta y por el nombre entendimos que estaban especializados en cócteles, así que decidimos entrar. Hubo que esperar un poco porque van acomodando a los clientes de forma muy ordenada, y cuando entramos una simpática chica nos llevó directamente a una mesita con unos cómodos sillones. Nos dieron la carta, un libro en realidad, con cockteles clasificados por los cuatro elementos. Mientras esperábamos, contemplamos como detrás de la barra preparaban de forma concienzuda cada uno de los brebajes con su tipo de hielo y vaso específico. Entraban muy bien, así que probamos varios elementos, y nos pusimos contentillos.

El mejor sitio de Oporto para tomar cócteles, una carta de calidad, además de cócteles clásicos. El local respira ambiente de coctelería nada más entrar, puedes estar muy cómodo sentado y también en barra. El trato es espectacular por parte de toda la plantilla, mención especial a Ze María, el bartender que nos atendió en casi todos los cócteles, un crack. Muy recomendable.

No teníamos planeado ir pero pasamos, lo vimos tan lindo, entramos y fue toda una sorpresa, como fuimos temprano no tuvimos que esperar por una mesa pero se llenó inmediatamente después, la atención increíble, el detalle del agüita rosa de hibisco muy rica y diferente, los snacks siempre se agradecen. Una experiencia inolvidable, todo cuidado al mínimo detalle, atención muy servicial , aparte de la carta te aconsejan y te ayudan , nos recibieron con agua infusionada de mango y un aperitivo, nos dieron una mesita súper acogedora, el sitio ya lo es en sí tiene un rollo muy chill y cálido , no pedimos dos margaritas que estaban de alucine , y luego un royal mule y un whiskey sour. Ambiente excelente y cocktails de categoría superior. Yo pedí un Negroni Sbagliato que no estaba en carte e inmediatamente se ofrecieron a hacerlo. Un lugar al que ir en Oporto, sin duda. Se encuentra en la zona de los bares, pero su ambiente y decoración te lleva un bar de nueva york. Los cocteles que bebimos muy acertados gracias a las recomendación del barman. Nosoteroa tomamos en barra pero tienes mesas y sillones.

Wow just wow!! This place is so beautiful and is packed with insanely experienced bartenders. At first my brother and I sat upstairs and had some very delicious cocktails, then we heard that there is a downstairs and had more delicious cocktails there. The menu is probably the coolest drink menu I have ever seen as it is based off cocktails that encompass the 5 elements, Water, Fire, Air, Earth, and Ether.

My husband and I are both cocktail enthusiasts and have worked in the industry ourselves a long time. This place is pricy but absolutely worth it for the quality of cocktail and presentation. We were lucky to have the bartender who had created the current cocktail menu behind the bar when we sat, and were able to chat to him a little about his menu. The thought and passion put into it alone was beautiful, it’s a journey through the elements. Water, fire, earth, air. Each cocktail has its own page in a gorgeous menu with poetic descriptions to accompany their photos. We listed a few we were stuck between and he was so knowledgeable in guiding our selections. I wish we could’ve tried the whole menu. I highly recommend sitting at the bar if you can, it was very cool to watch the bartender make all the drinks for the restaurant and when he had the time he would explain to us what he was making when he caught us watching. Great spot, great staff!

I read some of the negative reviews and I’m not sure what planet those people were living on… The cocktails were very good, I can see why they aren’t in the top 50 yet, but could be. We found them to be rather inexpensive compared to most Top 50 in the world bars. The chantico had crushed BBQ chips on the outside that really brought out the smoke of the mezcal. The Trinity and Candlelight were our favorites but all were very good. We waited for maybe 10 minutes to get in, a little touristy for sure with a lot of English and Americans downstairs. Service was great, especially considering they were packed. Definitely glad we made the trek up! The road they are on is pretty crazy on a Friday or Saturday night. But plenty of places close by to grab a cocktail while waiting for a spot

Not just one of the best bars in Porto, but probably one of the best I've experienced in the world. The bartenders are very personable while still being very serious about their craft. I befriended a couple of travelers at the bar and the experience was so good we all decided to come back the very next night. The drinks are creative and delicious but after point we were just telling the bartenders flavor profiles and vibes and letting them freestyle. They hit it out of the park every single time. The craziest thing about this bar is I randomly found it on google maps. I'm not aware of it on any lists and guides but it really does need to be! Go here, you won't be disappointed ❤️

One of the best experiences in Porto this is my third time in this bar and everytime is a rock experience. This time we have the Queen Victoria and the Candlelight. Queen Victoria more fruity and candlelight very strong whiskey flavor, I loved it. The environment very relaxed and chill, very good taste of music and the bartenders very friendly. You don't wait too much for your drink, which is good. I recommend to call and reserve a table because it gets full. 🩵

We had drinks here on a Friday evening without reservations and decided to sit at the bar. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The atmosphere is beautiful and the music they played is fantastic! They have a beautiful downstairs space where you can drink different cocktails than are offered upstairs in very interesting glasses. You definitely have to check it out! The drinks were expensive, but when you go to a higher end cocktail bar, you're going to spend money. Highly recommend!

El lugar muy coqueto y elegante, el servicio muy grato y correcto, nos fuimos contevtos a solo como "pega" basado en mi humilde experiencia, los precios no son para repetir el lugar. Aún así creo que para una ocasión puntual, como en mi caso que fue de visita a Oporto, se debe probar, de hecho repetimos para probar otras opciones, está dentro del top 50 mundial y abre hasta tarde, que eso se agradece, a parte está ubicado bastante bien y es bonito. Las copas son un promedio de 10-13€ cada una, incluye una infusión fría para no cargar el paladar de sabores y un aperitivo salado. Recomendaciones a nuestro gusto de la carta ofrecida de cócteles son: San Juan, Lleida, Neverland y algo más exquisito al paladar, el Candelight

Una coctelería clásica, oscura, muy bien ambientada y con música jazz de fondo que acompaña a la perfección la experiencia en este lugar. Cócteles preparados profesionalmente a la vista del cliente y, desde mi ignorancia coctelera, de buena calidad y sabor. No excesivamente caros, precios que esperas encontrarte cuando entras a este local.

Preparan de los mejores drinks de Oporto, sin exagerar. Cada cóctel se nota trabajado, equilibrado y con una ejecución que compite con cualquier bar top de la ciudad. Me llamó la atención que no ofrecieran una tapa mínima para acompañar. Si bien la entradita que sirven suma, creo que la experiencia sería aún más redonda si la complementaran con una opción simple para maridar con los tragos. Es un detalle que podría llevar el lugar a otro nivel. Dicho eso, es sin dudas uno de los mejores spots para disfrutar cócteles en la ciudad: ambiente ideal, servicio atento y una barra que realmente brilla. ¡Recomendadísimo para ir a tomar drinks! 🍸✨

Sitio muy bonito y original. Sin embargo pienso que poseen un menú de cocktails de autor muy limitado. Los precios son muy altos para lo que realmente venden. Es un lugar que me gustó mucho más por el ambiente que por los tragos.

This place ended up being a bit of a disappointment for me. The interior is absolutely beautiful — stylish and inviting — but unfortunately, the drinks didn’t quite live up to the setting. The cocktail menu felt very limited, and the ones I tried weren’t particularly impressive. For the price point, I was definitely expecting more in terms of quality. Another small detail: no water was offered alongside, and the ice cubes in some of the cocktails weren’t the clear, well-prepared kind you’d normally expect at this level. Instead, they looked like regular freezer ice, cloudy in the middle, which took away from the overall presentation. It’s a lovely-looking place, but with such high prices, I’d hoped the cocktails and service details would match the beautiful interior.

We visited this bar based on online recommendations. The interior is cozy and stylish, with plenty of seating space. It’s a great place to come and hang out with friends. The cocktail prices seemed a bit high to me – the cheapest one was €12.50, and for four cocktails we paid €50. The drinks themselves were tasty, but I wouldn’t say they were anything extraordinary; there was no real wow factor apart from the presentation, which was excellent. They looked fantastic. I’m not a bartender, but in some cocktails there seemed to be way too much ice – only about 30% of the glass was actual drink. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be, but it felt a little unbalanced. On the positive side, the menu is very creative and fun to read. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, so I’d still recommend checking out this charming bar.

El local es muy bonito, el ambiente muy internacional. Los cocktails caros y normales. Depende de tu grado de exigencia. Para probar una vez si es que tienes muchas ganas. Cuidado que hay filtro en la entrada y tienes que cumplir un perfil cosmopolita.

Los cócteles son buenos pero el servicio es lamentable y no está a la altura de lo que pagas por ellos. En nuestro caso tras tardar más de 15 minutos en preguntarnos qué queríamos beber, el camarero tuvo que tomar nota de nuevo 5 minutos después porque no se acordaba. 2 de los tres cócteles elegidos los tuvimos que cambiar porque se habían quedado sin algunos ingredientes. En mi caso me dijo que me traería uno parecido al elegido pero finalmente trajo uno más caro pero que no tenía nada que ver con el que elegí. Para rematar la noche, al ir a recoger los vasos vacíos, el camarero tiró uno de ellos que nos salpicó y se rompió. Lastima de curso de hostelería.

This was a real disappointment. We tried three cocktail bars in Porto to break up the port tastings, and despite being highly rated, this was easily the weakest of the lot and one of the more underwhelming cocktail experiences I’ve had in a while. First impressions were positive. We were welcomed promptly, seated quickly, and given a welcome tea and snacks. Unfortunately, that was where the positives ended. The bar itself doesn’t fully commit to a theme. There are old bottles on the shelves and framed pictures on the walls, but it all feels fairly surface level. The menu is presented theatrically, with cocktails based around the elements, but the theatre stops on the page. There’s no real sense of fire, water, air or earth in the presentation, only in the descriptions. The cocktails themselves were unbalanced. The hibiscus drink was described as light and airy, yet arrived in a heavy Collins glass with a viola flower placed on top. Flavour wise, the hibiscus completely dominated, leaving little room for anything else. The carrot tequila cocktail leaned towards a Bloody Maria style but was overly sour, masking any more interesting flavours. Service also fell short. Once our drinks were finished, no one checked back in. Even asking for the menu didn’t prompt any follow up, with staff largely gathered around the till chatting rather than watching the floor. Eventually, I gave up and went to the till to pay, which ended in a silent, transactional exchange. Given its reputation and rankings, this was surprising. For us, it didn’t come close to living up to the hype and wouldn’t be a place we’d return to. I don’t know how this bar got so well reviewed and into the top 50 as personally it would fall well into my bottom 50.

I tried four different cocktails, “Port Well,” “Candlelight,” “Trinity,” and an off-menu Mezcal, tequila, coffee cocktail (a sweeter version of trinity). All of which, besides their presentation, were subpar and completely mismatched the other reviews of this bar. “Port well” was by far the best drink, although the palate was completely dominated by the lime to the point where nothing else was really noticeable, transforming a theoretically complex cocktail into a decent one-note drink. The rest of the drinks, however were completely unacceptable. They all shared the characteristic of being incredibly thin, to the point of tasting diluted. I sent “candlelight” back once, and “trinity” twice. Although the bartender insisted that nothing was wrong with them suggesting they could not have been diluted, they lacked any flavor in the opening and mid palate, with a decent finish that hinted at how good the drinks could have been. After sending back “trinity” twice I had an extensive discussion with the bartender, he offered to make a variation that had simple syrup. This version was slightly better than the original, with the syrup boosting the mid plate, but still remained very thin, tasting almost diluted. Out of the five drinks I received, including those sent back, five out of the six cocktails were incredibly disappointing, with the only passable cocktail being very one-note. It’s important to mention, that of the many bars I’ve been to around the world, this is the first where I’ve actually sent even a drink back. Although the staff attempted to accommodate after I expressed my displeasure, their attempts fell short. To add insult to injury, after expressing my disappointment in the second attempt at “trinity” the bartender offered to do something off menu to make up for it, and after some insistence I agreed, but was surprised to find it on the bill. I attempted to dispute this, but having had enough I just paid and left, leaving me with an extra sourness to the experience. Overall I am left perplexed as to how the cocktails, comprising of creative mixes and a high level of promise, could end up being so bland and disappointing. After trying my best to enjoy my experience, I must unfortunately conclude that The Royal Cocktail Club is not worth visiting solely based on the palate of the cocktails.

Extreeeeeemely slow service, bartender was too busy flirting with 3 female patrons at the bar so it took 40 minutes to get 1 drink and the place was not even crowded. The cocktail itself was decent though.
