Hemos ido a las Tablas ya que cuando pasamos por la oficina de turismo, preguntamos donde comer nos han dicho un par de sitios y este era una y al pasar por delante nos a gustado en ambiente y hemos comido, buena comida y camarer@s muy amables. Recomendamos el sitio.

A home-style restaurant, the kind that's becoming increasingly rare. Friendly and good service. We went on December 1st for the set menu and it was delicious. Definitely worth a visit.
We love going to this place, a true Portugalete institution. Their pintxos are delicious, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is incredibly pleasant. We always feel very comfortable when we go. We've also been several times for lunch, and the service is always excellent. A real gem!
We have been there many times and everytime it has been a great experience. The food is great and the staff is very fiendly. They also have very nice tapas and, if you sit down to eat, the daily menu is reasonably priced and very nice and the a la carte options are great. The fish is something I can definitely recommend there.

We were looking for something to nibble at the bar and didn't have high expectations. The first waitress wasn't having the best day, but the service improved when we ordered txakoli from the other two waiters. They treated us very well and gave us two types to try.
We spent a day visiting Portugalete and stopped by this restaurant because a local woman we happened to ask recommended it. Excellent place to eat. High-quality homemade food at reasonable prices. We're particularly grateful for the kindness of the gentleman who served us. It's a long way from our return from the Canary Islands. But who knows?
Great fresh local food - had paella and scorpion fish (really tasty). Good wine included in the Menu del Dia … try it - you won’t be disappointed.
We had a set menu with several starters, the croquettes and Iberian ham being particularly noteworthy, followed by steak, sirloin steak, and whatever seasonal fish they had. I ordered monkfish, and everything was delicious. The meat, from what I saw among the people with me, was very tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection. The desserts were excellent and offered a wide variety. Afterwards, we had coffee and drinks, a long after-dinner conversation with no problems with the waiters, and excellent service. A great place for group meals.
We came for lunch on a Thursday, and the menu was spectacular. We ordered some delicious lentils and Russian salad, which was more than enough for the entire menu. For the main course, we had delicious pork chops. The price was around €13 per person, which, in my opinion, was more than reasonable. Highly recommended.
I received a warm welcome and choose the delicious chicken soup, followed by a very fresh filet of hake and a piece of cherry cake. A bottle a excellent wine was included in the deal which I enjoyed enormously. This was a superb meal which including an extra bottle of water and a coffee. must try
Excellent service. We had a fantastic set menu on the terrace. The first course was Marmitako (a Basque fish stew), the second was entrecote, and dessert and coffees came to €13. The first beer was included, and the second was extra. We loved the place.
Wow ! Yes big wow ....this place left me in awe at their superb service ! Some of the best I've ever experienced. The 2 waitresses moved swiftly like matadors amongst the tables with the perfect demeanour . The food was superb and great value ,I had the menu del dia for 13 euros . The attention to detail was impressive. I recommend highly.
The best pinxtos in Portugalete.
A great place for good food. We were a group of five, and the waitress recommended the stone-cooked ribeye steak, and it was a great choice. You can cook it to your liking, as they put the stone and fire on the table. The Iberian cured meats platter was very good, and the scorpion fish pie was delicious. But if you eat it after the Iberian cured meats... it's not enough! To finish, we ordered desserts that were the ultimate in indulgence! But it was worth it. Good value for money! It's not a cheap place, but for the quality of the food and the service, it's worth it!
Why do I like this place? I've been going there with my family forever, and it's because of the staff's incredible treatment of customers, and the food, as I've yet to try anything I didn't like.
Nos tomamos una ración de pulpo bastante rica, también tenían unos pintxos de jamón con muy buena pinta. Nos sirvieron con mucha rapidez y todo perfecto. Tiene terraza y pega el sol, así que en verano se está de vicio. Volveremos a pasar a probar esos pintxos de jamón y quizás algún pintxo más.

The food was very good, as was the service; it was fast and the food was hot. It was a bit noisy, though, as there were a lot of people.
A traditional tapas bar, all the ones we tried were homemade. We went on Saturday and couldn't get into the lounge because we didn't have a reservation, so keep that in mind. Great value and excellent service. Highly recommended.
This was the first time we went to this restaurant to celebrate the dinner that all our colleagues have every year. The service was good, and regarding the food, there were some things I think could be improved. For example, the cod served as an appetizer was a little dry, and the sirloin steak with foie gras in port wine was a little dry and would have been juicier, but it was cooked to perfection as I ordered. On the other hand, the ham, the cured loin, and the meatball croquettes were delicious. The desserts were also delicious. But what caught my attention most was that wine wasn't included in this 40-euro menu. Something surprising to me. When my colleagues sent the menu, I didn't read that wine wasn't included. I don't know if this is normal now, but I hadn't seen it before. So we had to pay for it separately.
