Schatzi’s is rock solid. Food and drinks are always good, and while QR code menus aren’t usually my favorite they have the beer menu on Untappd, which provides super helpful details for deciding what to drink! My husband swears they have the best burger in town. The back patio is gorgeous in summer and the staff are laid back but attentive. If you want beers and tasty food on sunny afternoon this is your place.

Loved the food. We had The other guy burger, the Standard burger, brisket poutine sandwich, sauerbraten meatballs with cheesy spaetzle. The other guy burger and poutine were the best. Great selection of beer too.

Cool vibe, friendly service and a great beer selection. The kitchen staff are the real stars here, pumping out tasty and filling dishes from a space smaller than most people's closets. Food was flavorful and fresh, with quality ingredients and great portions for the price. The easily accessible parking across the street is a bonus!

So I ordered food from Shatzi's and wow I was impressed. Recently moved to the area and I've been trying different foods and came across shatzis as I've been hearing good things. I order the shatzi burger, pretzel poutine, bratwurst, hamburger egg rolls. Upon entering the place it has a great vibe. There was a female at the bar who was very nice and had my order ready. The food was great there are no complaints. I highly recommend you try the Shatzi burger. I will definitely order again from Shatzi's.

We came here after ballroom dance class. Everything was so darn good! I mean so good I still can taste it. Service was really great. The on tap beers we really nice. We sat outside on the patio and it was a very nice enclosed area. We had such a nice relaxing time. Update: over a year later and we still live it here. Just returned after covid 19 happened and outside dining was a plus. Great Reuben!

Welcoming and social atmosphere with great beer options. We arrived with a large group (8) and no reservations but they managed to find us space and made the children in the group feel comfortable and included. The food is, as expected, on the heavy side but it tasted great.

We came in around 5pm on a weekday and sat outside. For only a handful of tables, the service was a little slow, the waiter took our appetizer order and walked away, then felt like he was trying not to make eye contact so I had to loudly call him over to order the rest of our food. For appetizers, we got the cheese pierogies and the frickles. The pierogies were tasty but had a lot of oil on them and the frickles had a thick batter that I wasn't expecting and didn't like. We didn't finish them. I would try a different appetizer next time instead of either of these. I like reuben sandwiches and LOVED this twist of the meat being cubed, not sliced. It made it much more tender. I would come back just for this sandwich. The cheddar bratwurst was also good, and we liked the parm fries better than the regular, though both were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

We got takeout after seeing a show down the road, and it’s one of the few places open after 11pm. The “Other Guy” burger was quite big but the warm potato salad was thrown in with the burger in the same container so part of the bun got soggy. I wish the potatoes were placed in a separate container. The fish tacos my partner had was good although the corn tortilla also got a little soggy and fell apart. Next time we’ll just eat there.

Schatzi’s offers a nice draft list of some good beer, good sized portions, and friendly staff. We got seats at the bar and had good service the entire time. We were given the wrong specials menu which was disappointing because one of the specials sounded perfect for me but I got the Schatzi’s burger instead and it was a bit dry. Slightly overdone and not enough of their sauce, I think the potato pancake on top absorbs it and left the rest of the burger dry. Great sized meal though. My wife got the fried chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. We would stop again and see what’s new next time we are in Poughkeepsie.

TL;DR: Good food fast. Craft beers. Good service. Seasonal outdoor seating. My companions and I had just walked the local trail between the two bridges and were looking for a place with bar foods and a decent drink selection. This place is easy to miss, as it’s in the middle of a row of small businesses. The storefront is dark and at first glance I though they were closed. Upon entering there’s the standard bar area and behind that there’s a surprising amount of seating. There’s a single restroom, so if it’s game day and you’ve got a tiny bladder, good luck to you. I ordered the sweet chili chicken wings which came with celery, carrots, and ranch sauce. My companions ordered sandwiches, both of which received positive reviews. The one downside was the cheese curds. They were bland and could’ve used a saltier, richer flavor. The curds became inedible once they reached room temperature. Hopefully a few minutes in the home air fryer will resurrect them. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. Prices were reasonable.

Wife got the chicken sandwich and it was dry, like chewing leather. My sausage was good. Service was also really bad, granted we were a party of 10, wrong and mixed orders. It also took forever to order. We also got a visit from the local raccoon, kinda cool but prob not safe. One positive, they had Vermont beers on draft.
